Afternoon wenches!
MN so slow plus spouse downloading huge amount of data basically shafted our network last night, but I survived (just!). so to catch up:
Carolina crossing everything re the job
Elk five at once - impressive! Think of it as a bonus, that means four less teething episode
Norah I hesitate to say anything about your spooky ability with dreams but it is definitely spooky (in a good way)
fancy "mournful beards" - brillant!
Comtess yes we have a tea-lady, mornings only (we used to have one in the afternoon but she retired). Working in a library means that some of us have very short time for breaks if we're on desk duty, so rather than send the youngest off to make the tea, we have a tea-lady. I doubt it will last after her retirement however.
As to me, good news is that ds2 seems to have cracked potty training in record time (we only started in January and he's now in pants and going days without accidents) W00t! We do, however, now owe him a trip to Peppa Pig World as he's completed his sticker chart.
The bad news is that on Monday my big boss asked if I'd like an exchange week long trip to Norway. She also asked another colleague. Woot! thought I. Waited to reply until I'd spoken to other colleague (who I was seeing that afternoon) and spouse to check he wasn't planning to be away then before I replied. Found out this morning that there was only one place so gave it to my colleague as she replied first. She's lovely and I don't begrudge her but she hasn't got kids or caring responsibilities so didn't need to check before saying yea, and I'm not feeling a bit hard done by. she also had a heads up from her line manager and I didn't so she was expecting an email.
Anyway, must dash to next meeting (bloody hope they have tea and sandwiches as my lunch break has been 10 minutes typing up this!)
