What a great start to the day ... not. Went into the kitchen in bare feet and stood on a dead mouse that the cat had kindly left beside his plate. Good job I'm not frightened of them (he brings in quite a few but usually during the spring and summer and often alive) but it's not what you want when you are barely awake.

Great pictures icemist. That first one is on my screensaver collection at work.

Sounds good for BA but maybe not so good for us? Second series of OG possibly but not with BA in it? Glad he's ditched Reign though, it really was naff.

orphan · 04/03/2015 08:42

What exciting news lola, though I have to admit CJ told me himself - he arrived a few minutes ago. He and Rupert are just sizing one another up (hmmm, could require a soft tape measure) before we get down to business.

He was slightly surprised to be greeted by me in my saucy waitress outfit and did question whether it was too early for a cream tea, but Rupert had gone to all the bother of finding the doilies, so couldn't really say no. Will report back later once I've had my fill.

And no, I can categorically confirm that the only resemblance he bears to Rivers Cuomo is he has two arms and two legs!

orphan · 04/03/2015 08:58

It made me laugh reading on the link lola posted, that BA is repped by HH. They've not updated his show reel, so there are no clips from OG or Reign. Honestly, we could do a much better job!

Second series: I'm worried as didn't TG say in his q&a that he could see it following other characters and even implied they could be entirely new ones? Maybe he was just keeping his options open.

Ilovelblue · 04/03/2015 09:02

I thought the same orphan about his agency. They have been bloody useless, and yes, we could have done far, far better.

cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 09:36

Looks like BA is determined to try and break American market - bad news for us left behind Sad. Whole scenario for this pilot looks iffy to me - what a waste of male gorgeousness.

Good luck today orphan you're gonna have your hands full and hopefully so will they. To get over my jealousy I've hidden the Radio Times cover photo of Poldark inside my bra so I can have a sneaky peak at that scarface whenever I make cup adjustments a la Les Dawsons Cissy

Alwaysfrank · 04/03/2015 09:49

Hello all, I'm just popping back in after a few weeks absence, in disguise with my new name Grin. A friend recognised me on another thread (possibly the same one that Cherin mentioned a couple of pages ago) and I wasn't sure I was quite ready for her to see my ongoing interest in a TV show that finished months ago! I have been reading but not posting ever since but couldn't keep away for ever!

As ever there is much hilarity to be had here, but my personal highlight was Richtea's chlamydia declaration!

Alwaysfrank · 04/03/2015 09:50

Oh and the new part for BA looks like it could be a big one!

icemistOBE · 04/03/2015 09:51

I quite like the idea if the show. But didn't he attend Harvard on and off over 10 years ? Be interesting to watch if it makes it to a series.

He's will be playing the main character. I think it might be something the network really want. At least it will be current and not a period work again. Wonder if they can work a army combat uniform in somewhere?

I hope for BA it's picked up- he's worked hard to get there (with some awful costumes along the way)

Morning! I suppose the singing possibly helped get him this role and obvious stage presence demonstrated by 'Don't go breaking my heart!'.
Anyone ever heard of Weezer? Might gonna have to look on youtube. I suppose the success of this one will be down to the writing and just how funny it really is.

I saw an item on BBC breakfast today about Poldark and although I understand the comments about weaseliness in some quarters, I have to say that when they were talking to Aiden Turner on the set he came across very well in the flesh - although I would be itching to put a comb through those tangles!

Speighty33 · 04/03/2015 10:22

Hmm am I the only one not happy about BA's latest gig? Why are so many actors obsessed with cracking the American market. Defo no more OG with CJ then :(

icemistOBE · 04/03/2015 10:23

rhubarb they sung the Buddy Holly song. Video was done like Happy days....

OP posts:
cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 10:24

No no no Rhubarb no combing allowed! You can't beat that tousled curly mop top look - that's why BAs guinea pig in Reign was so darned yummy

cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 10:25

Ditto Speighty I'm not impressed either. BAs talents much better stretched out all over UK TV screens/cinemas

Richtea19 · 04/03/2015 10:27

I've just had to google Weezer as I hadn't a clue what/who they were! Tad worried about more dodge outfits. He really does want to break America. I wonder who is giving him advise because we know HH are useless!!!
Maybe he wants to stay in the US because he was scared of the OG FB lot Grin.

Orphan, it's never to early for cream and jam.....

cjwoof I am so excited about AT and Poldark. Problem I have is that DH wants to watch... If I come over all hot and bothered he might get the wrong idea.. Can't be doing with bedroom activity on a school night!

Richtea19 · 04/03/2015 10:32

Just thinking, after his small part (sorry that really shouldn't be used in relation to BA) in Railway Man, you would of though he would of auditioned for more film blockbuster parts?

Speighty33 · 04/03/2015 10:33

Hmm Icemist I remember that 'classic' tune now. I guess our only hope is that the show is a hit and it ends up on some dodgy sky channel and we can watch him in dodgy clothes, doing dodgy comedy putting on a dodgy American accent. Think I might have to rip myself from my BA/CJ obsession.

Richtea19 · 04/03/2015 10:33

Also need to state bedroom activity on a school night is ok for CJ when he visits me!!!!'

cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 10:36

ditto Richtea my DH wants to watch too, but hopefully will do his usual falling asleep then pretend at the end credits he's been watching all along. How I'll explain the saliva licks on the TV screen and the fact I'm a jibbering hormonal wreck by then I don't know. Hmmm an interesting conversation that'll be. Might gonna have to endure some bedroom activity on a school night to put him off the scent, so to speak.

Rhubarb01 · 04/03/2015 10:42

Well I googled and I also watched the Buddy Holly song (thanks Icemist I like the Happy Days idea but prefer the real Buddy Holly!) but still think they must have passed me by somehow back in the 90's. I was probably a bit too old to be into Indie/alternative stuff having left my student days behind. Have to be honest I was probably never that into it when I was a student apart from occasionally going to the alternative night disco on a Friday down at the student's union looking highly out of place, rubbing shoulders with the goths etc mainly for the highly subsidised drinking available.

cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 10:47

Agreed speighty it's going to be very hard for me to stay focussed on CJ/BA when AT comes along with a bang on Sunday night. With D'Artagnan on a Friday night I'm awash with lovely male totty on a weekend, so BA/CJ needs to hurry up and pull his finger out of orphan and get back on our screens pretty darn quick

cjwoofwoof · 04/03/2015 10:56

Thanks for the clip ice but I'm still unimpressed. Never heard of Weezer either, Rhu obviously I'm too old or was too busy having babies in the 90s to remember. Hope it's a hit for BA but would I choose to watch it if he wasn't in it? Big fat no.

icemistOBE · 04/03/2015 11:03

That's the only song I know of theirs. Hopefully it will be set in current time rather than the mid 90's. Mind you if it's not picked up we may never know.

OP posts:
orphan · 04/03/2015 11:20

I used to like Weezer but now that I've just listened to them on youtube, i don't really know why!

Quick update: I can certainly say that CJ worked up a good appetite on his journey from onlygirl. He lapped up the cream tea Rupert helped me spread myself in cream and even came back for seconds and once I'd recovered, thirds. There was an audible crack but fortunately not of the penile kind - just my knees as I knelt down to get an errant raspberry pip. Anyway, now he's all licked clean, the swivelling can commence...

orphan · 04/03/2015 11:23

The Weezer idea just seems a very slim premise to hang a series on. On his HH show reel there's a clip of him doing an American accent. Seemed a bit dodgy to me. Not nearly as lovely as his real voice.
