jen fab new chapter. I love how this story is developing.

Happy Birthday orphan, I'm sure nickel has waved her wand for you to at least get a CJ dream tonight. I'm sure it would have been in person but his currently on his tour of the UK, last seen on his way to Scotland!

pixie I eventually caught up with yiur FF, brilliant, such detail, fabulous. Please don't smuggle CJ away with you on your holiday and I fear by the time he comes back down south he really will be fit for nothing. More of a rasberry colis, that jam with seeds!

Swimwear.... Someone in between. The budgie smugglers somehow looked ok on DCraig, but I don't think CJ is broad enough to carry off that look. Those really long shorts are horrid too. too much fabric. Commando would suit me :)

Onlygirljen · 28/02/2015 08:45

Right ladies, I'm waxed and plucked to within an inch of my life, got all the items on the shopping list and been practicing the thigh grips for days. I'm ready, where is he?!

Happy birthday to orphan, have a lovely day! And thanks ice re the update - now do me a favour and get CJ on that plane! Smile

icemistOBE · 28/02/2015 08:53

He'll be with you about 11 Grin enjoy Wink

Richtea19 · 28/02/2015 08:59

Another brilliant chapter jen. I don't suppose you will get a lot of time to write anything over the weekend Wink.

orphan · 28/02/2015 09:02

Thank you for all your birthday wishes and the lovely pics!

Dp is wearing the CJ suit. I haven't pointed out that he has misaligned some of the Velcro fastenings so that the right buttock is higher than the left.

You'll never guess what happened earlier. Knock at the door and standing on the step, in full Henry regalia, was The Sausage! He started to sing Happy Birthday (very Susan Boyle manner and made his neck bulge even more) but I shut the door and shouted through the letter box, "Go and pester cjwoof!"

Breakfast in bed and family meal out later with predinner cocktail (ds wants to buy me one, cos now he's 18 he can).

cjwoofwoof · 28/02/2015 09:54

Happy Birthday orphan ! I feel like I've been rewarded, however, when The Sausage arrived at Woof Manor looking very sheepish (rather than skunk, stoat or weasel-ish) and asked for some comfort as you'd spurned him. Always happy to oblige, me...

Enjoy the cocktails Grin

Onlygirljen · 28/02/2015 10:01

Ok I have a problem. Haven't been able to extract myself from the play date this morning (at soft play) that I'm meant to take the 2 year old to. Think I can take CJ along? I'm thinking he'll be right at home amongst the nerf guns etc, and could instil some order among the chaos with his army discipline, but not sure I can unleash him on a room full of mums and get him out intact Hmm.

Onlygirljen · 28/02/2015 10:03

Ps richtea I'm hoping this weekend will fill me with inspiration as well as other things Blush

Ilovelblue · 28/02/2015 10:05

Think of the kudos you'd get from the other mums. How would you pass him off though? Cousin on leave from the army? Long lost relative?

icemistOBE · 28/02/2015 10:13

Being the perfect man, he will play with all the kids, get all the coffees and cakes. And talk to your friends while he sends you smouldering looks (like at the restaurant)

OP posts:
Onlygirljen · 28/02/2015 10:57

Sold! Softplay it is! (When he finally gets here...!).

I do need kudos with one of the mums who has been subjected to met RL Chris at nursery pickup and I fear now questions my judgement in company...

Ilovelblue · 28/02/2015 11:17

Oh dear, did you once tell us that RL Chris had been eyeing up the mums at school/nursery? Did he overstep the mark with this particular mum?

Am sure CJ would score you lots of brownie points if you need them in that case?

Ilovelblue · 28/02/2015 11:19

About to dig out the second of my compost heaps this morning (I lead a thrilling life). Could probably do with CJ yelling "Have some human decency and put some bloody effort it" or even "Dig in" would do.

Talking of ring tones (the first one is my Mon-Fri alarm call), has Elsie disappeared off here?

Richtea19 · 28/02/2015 11:48

Oh yes jen plenty of research and practice of QS this weekend ready for a FF update! Are you ready for a bit of rough and tumble on the soft play, don't get your feet trapped on a cargo net!

I'm just back from the offical mini marathon trials with DS and he has qualified for a a place to run! Yippee. I think he runs really fast about 18mins but there was a boy today that ran in just over 17mins!!!

cjwoofwoof · 28/02/2015 12:55

Play hard not soft jen and don't let CJ escape alive (that's what my softer side suggests anyway).

Lovely pics of Poldark in today's paper - if BA doesn't hurry up and come back to us in something I may focus on lusting after admiring AT

KeziaOAP · 28/02/2015 13:45

Happy Birthday orphan Smile. Still have last two episodes of Wolf Hall to watch will then dip into book, my DD is reading at the mo says she's glad she watched the TV series first.

Jen what a fabulous ff chapter full of angst, not too long til next please RL permitting and most important research!

cjwoofwoof · 28/02/2015 14:48

Brilliant latest chapter jen I'm even feeling a bit sorry for Rebecca having all that loveliness sleeping on a camp bed under your nose, poor chump - however does she keep her hands off him? No wonder she's up for a fresh start. Hope you're not too busy with CJ soft playing (or hard) to keep writing. Great story Smile

orphan · 28/02/2015 15:24

Having a little break, sitting admiring my birthday flowers and reading jen's latest. (Must be my advanced age, but birthdays seem quite tiring now.) Loved Charles's memory of his night with Molly - made me fall in love with him all over again. I can't really blame Rebecca for not wanting to let him out of her clutches.

kezia yes I'm really glad I watched the series first as I'm picturing Mark Rylance as Cromwell which is preferable to Mantel's physical description of him. The book is clarifying for me as well some of the confusing bits/characters and it's written in a very immediate, easy style. Be warned as I've already said, the final episode is very heart wrenching and quite disturbing, given the recent Isis events in the news.

icemistOBE · 28/02/2015 18:31

Hope CJ has arrived to jen ok. Although as she's not posted for a while she might be busy trying out some of the QS from her ff Grin

Managed to finish clearing the compost heap before it started to rain. It was a pretty good workout, I have to say. Not the sort of workout I had enjoyed with CJ earlier in the week, mind you! Hope Jen is having a good workout too!

Will CJ be meeting up with RL Chris during his visit? That would be fun!

Too stiff tonight to do much other than sewing some replacement buttons on a coat. A friend wants me to look over her CV and make some alterations but my mind isn't really up to the job at the moment. Will have a look tomorrow.

Orphan enjoy the rest of your birthday.

Richtea will be interested to know what you think of Fifty Shades.

Rhubarb I am so sorry not to have commented on your lovely story. I was away when the remaining chapters were posted and the wifi in the hotel was very flaky so I decided not to read it in bits but to do it altogether as if I were reading a proper book. Your writing is so evocative and I actually shed a tear at the end. Not that it was too sad, but it all came together so beautifully. I really think (and I have said this before) that the BBC are missing a trick if they don't use the story and serialise it.

Nickel45 · 28/02/2015 18:56

richtea well done to your DS, that's fantastic. Hope he kept all his shoes this week!

I'm completely shattered, spent all day driving kids around, three to football, six to bowling and back with various pick ups and drop offs, had three this afternoon at home then just dropped four at a sleep over, but have to go back in two hours to bring home whichever ones have decided not to stay (my DS will undoubtedly have changed his mind and decide to stay, only to change his mind an hour late when he cant get to sleep, so I have to go back again!). Kids!!!

Meanwhile, distracted myself by baking .... And dreaming .... Definitely cream on top :)

jen you are really putting us through the wringer! So engrossed, your story is brilliant. Can't wait to see how CJ deals with Rebecca, and what happens in Canada!

Well done to whoever suggested greenstuff joined us on here :)
