Am I a lone voice in not being disappointed? I didn't really care who killed Lucy, I just wanted it over with, without it being Ian.
I also think Jake Wood is an excellent actor, Max is a coiled spring, there's loads going on behind those eyes at all times.
I don't think Lauren knew who had done it but she didn't want a baby with someone who might have covered it up or was related to the killer. Maybe once she told Peter and realised it wasn't him she changed her mind and Peter will leave with her to go elsewhere to raise the baby as he can't cope with the truth.
I think Max came in and, thinking Abi had killed her, helped Jane or even moved the body himself. Maybe Jane took Bobby out the room, came back and the body had gone so she could say 'Lucy's ran away' to Bobby and he would think she was killed on the common (I think an 11yr old would know that was unlikely but the mind can play tricks on us).
Ian won't have known. I don't think it was strange that he went to help Dot. He was processing everything in his mind, his sub-conscious was waking up and he was working out how to deal with it. It wasn't as if Lucy had just been killed and he needed to apprehend the killer ASAP. He knew Jane would tell him. She was about to when Peter & Cindy came back earlier.
I don't know how they can being Kathy back in a 'credible fashion.' If she had to disappear (just like her contemporary Den Watts), would she not have disappeared Ben too? Rather than send him back to Phil?
Ben had to deal with being abused by his step-mum, coming out, his dad being a crack addict, attacking Lucas' son, killing Heather, fathering a child & going to prison. Ian had to deal with the death of his mum, losing his daughter, several divorces, losing his money etc and then their mum comes back, a vision in lilac, looking younger than ever -what can her reason be? Perhaps she was cryogenically frozen in the early 90s and has only just been thawed out?
That scene was a waste of location costs. I am guessing Phil isn't dealing with Max because Kathy is the priority at the moment, rather than them being connected but maybe they are? He can't tell her to stay away but I get why he did. I assume he found out something in prison which led him to discover she was alive.
It was so obvious that RB character was going to be the supplier of the gun. If he's Kim's husband, that's a crock. He did say he'd just finished with someone didn't he? I don't know if Kim was still meant to be with her husband on Good Friday. Ronnie made a right meal of getting it out of the flowers and dropping it in her bag.
