As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

I think that's where Corrie can go wrong, giving big story lines to actors that aren't up to it, and some of the younger ones just can't carry it off. Why on earth has the dreadful Faye got such a big story line. It's going to be dreary.

Camolips · 24/02/2015 19:33

If they REALLY felt they had to do a teen pregnancy, why not wait a couple of years for Amy? Much more feisty, believable, street-wise character.

LineRunner · 24/02/2015 19:39

I think a lot of people will switch off from watching a badly acted Faye go through a protracted crap storyline the result if which no-one gives a toss about.

LineRunner · 24/02/2015 19:43

I know that's harsh but I hope the writers at least condense it all into as few episodes as possible (two max would be good...) and have the whole Windass/Owen clan shipped off to Portsmouth or Blackpool.

CharityD · 24/02/2015 21:42

I think it's nice to sometimes have a low key storyline ticking along, so if they had had her and Craig becoming friends, nothing more, in a slightly awkward teenage way, that would have been fine.
I hate this pregnancy storyline. I wish it was over, at least that her family knew and then they all move away... One can dream.
I love Craig, I thought he carried off the whole storyline of when he thought he was responsible for Sunita's death, absolutely brilliantly.
He is so sweet, and kind to everyone.

I really miss Deirdre, I can't believe we will never see her on the cobbles again. So sad.

LineRunner · 24/02/2015 21:47

Craig is a great character played by a skilled and nuanced young actor.

CharityD · 24/02/2015 22:10

He is one of my absolute favourites.

millimat · 24/02/2015 22:14

And me!

eddiemairswife · 24/02/2015 22:22

As Faye was 7 months last week she should have it around Easter, so not too long to wait. I'm hoping against hope that Craig won't be blamed.

salthill · 24/02/2015 23:07

Yes Craig's great..... I miss Deirdre too, every time Kens on I always feel sad to think they'll be no more Ken and Deirdre banter. So sad.

CharityD · 25/02/2015 00:00

I couldn't help thinking of Deirdre last night. She would have routed Tony and Tracyluv, in her own inimitable way.

Agree re Ken and Deirdre Sad. I also used to love when she, Eileen and Liz would have a few drinks together, and a bit of light hearted comedy was guaranteed.

hildasmuriel · 25/02/2015 06:02

I worry about how they will write out Deirdre. I think it should be something bold and comic but of course there will be so much sensitivity about it so it must be very hard. I would like to see a big funeral with as many old cast members there as possible all reminiscing about old times on the Street. Viewers need a chance to say goodbye I think to both Deirdre and Anne Kirkbride but I think the wishes of her family and friends will need to come first (and of course her wishes if she expressed any).

hildasmuriel · 25/02/2015 06:04

However I have just read Eileen is going to work in the Rover's. She will be fantastic! She's getting a new boyfriend too so scriptwriters keep Eileen witty and sharp tongued don't make her sappy and unhappy!

Southeastdweller · 25/02/2015 06:46

Eileen's new boyfriend is played by Mark Moraghan, who used to be in Brookside. I guess Todd will try to split them up.

LineRunner · 25/02/2015 07:27

He was in Holby, I think? He's quite hunky.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/02/2015 07:34

He was Greg Shadwick in Brookie . Nice !

CharityD · 25/02/2015 07:58

Yes, I'm looking forward to seeing Eileen behind the bar. I read something about her skills not being up to scratch. Even though everyone and anyone seems to walk in there, and just start working. Grin.

SavoyCabbage · 25/02/2015 08:08

I loved it when Liz was telling whatsherface that 'in her day' everyone was getting their colours done.

I'd like Mary to have a glamorous romance.

Camolips · 25/02/2015 08:13

Jack and Liam in one episode, I'm still reeling.

SavoyCabbage · 25/02/2015 09:10

Jenny and Kev having that proper meal at the table but not giving jack any!

Then just waltzing off t'Rovers without a second glance.

Ellenora5 · 25/02/2015 10:00

Camolips, the 24 hour creche must have been closed Grin I do not like Maria and whatshisname together.

Can't wait to see Eileen behind the bar, that should be fun, is the guy they bringing in for her the same one was that was always on again off again with Chrissie in holby.

CharityD · 25/02/2015 10:29

I hope this time that it's going to be a happy relationship for Eileen. I didn't like that little fireman fella at all, Paul, I think, was his name.

squoosh · 25/02/2015 10:40

Oooooh Eileen's new love interest is a bit foxy. Much better than that awful fireman.

theliverpoolone · 25/02/2015 12:16

Yes, Savoy, I was Shock Shock at Kevin and Jenny sitting having a romantic meal downstairs while leaving a toddler playing upstairs alone!!

LineRunner · 25/02/2015 12:50

Yes, he was one of Chrissie's many squeezes.

That whatshisname with Maria, he can't act either.
