As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

the Faye story line is just stupid and annoying, can no one have a normal life in corny and just get on with things?

they'll start on Craig next, he'll become the local drug dealer out the blue, within 2 episodes, after being nice for years

Northernexile · 18/02/2015 15:57

It's still better than Eastenders though! Anything is....

CharityD · 18/02/2015 16:12

Can't remember where I saw it, but I think Eileen takes a job in The Rovers. That will be a bit of fun, if/ when it happens.

desperatehousewife21 · 18/02/2015 16:27

Izzy's crying face Grin

Clawdy · 18/02/2015 17:01

At least she didn't have the woolly ears hat on Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/02/2015 19:39

"Mr Alerhan?"

"Do I look like I could be Mr Alerhan?"

"I done a course, we're taught not to judge"

I just snorted, it's like something from dinnerladies Grin

Ellenora5 · 18/02/2015 20:27

I thought that was great 70isalimit Grin

I also had to laugh at Gail and Audrey going to have a word with Callum, The Granafia Smile

ajandjjmum · 18/02/2015 20:43

I loved Gail getting mad - just sorry she stopped when she did.

Happydaystoytown · 18/02/2015 21:05

Some good comedy moments tonight, a bit like the Corrie of old. Gail and her mum can be funny when they get good scripts.

CharityD · 18/02/2015 22:10

I loved the bit when Gail and Audrey came back, and Audrey kept reminding Gail of things she had said to Callum, Grin.
Great bit of comedy, I thought.

Pyjamaramadrama · 18/02/2015 22:35

Agree all hilarious, Mary 'shoplifting', the Mr Alahan and especially Gail and Audrey.

noddingninja · 18/02/2015 22:47

I look forward to Corrie when I see that Jonathan Harvey has written the episode (it was his tonight) because there are always some cracking comedy moments. I would highly recommend his novels as well (especially Karen Carpenter)

EachandEveryone · 18/02/2015 23:03

Jenny Bradley still looks the same!

theliverpoolone · 18/02/2015 23:37

The usual question - who was babysitting Kevin's son? ( he does still have a son, I assume Hmm) - so that Kev didn't even have to say to Ty and Luke that he couldn't go the pub, he had to be back for the babysitter.....I suppose now I think about it, it would've been Sawfie, but I wish they'd at least mention he has a child occasionally.

eddiemairswife · 19/02/2015 10:55

I wonder if the scriptwriters have any children of their own. The babies and toddlers seem to look after themselves, while older children (I mean you Simon) need to be taken to and collected from school. Incidentally, Joseph is now 3. Does he go to nursery?

squoosh · 19/02/2015 10:56

The courier who went on a course gave me a belly laugh.

Agree that Jenny Bradley looks the exact same, she's clearly rigorous about sunscreen!

CharityD · 20/02/2015 09:00

The part with Mary stuffing the food in a bag, in the shop, and walking out the door, leading to Julie accusing her of shoplifting was a bit silly, I thought, on both sides really.
I think it's another step in changing Julie's character, towards her departure. Mary will now have another tale to tell when Dev returns from his very sudden trip.

I'm often not sure what day of the week it's meant to be, on the Street, but how come Julie isn't working in the factory? Is anyone working there now?
I know that they were all off for the week, after the crash, but I don't know if we have seen anyone there since. Grin

I'm glad to have a break from the Sinead/ Chesney scenes for a bit, anyway.

Camolips · 20/02/2015 09:40

I agree, even if she takes stuff without needing to pay Mary would be aware that Dev would note it down somewhere.

I wonder if Corrie has been purposely vanilla for a week in the light of the EE hype? I have to say it's been exciting on their thread, saddo that I am. Never watched it before this week but was engrossed and then later cynical like a true fan!

CharityD · 20/02/2015 09:50

Exactly Camolips.

I was the same with Eastenders this week, I wanted to know who killed Lucy, so I watched some episodes, although lots of it was lost on me as I haven't watched in years and years.

Graham Norton had a show dedicated to Eastenders, that I watched this week, and I remembered the older characters and scenes, so I enjoyed that.

Candycandle · 20/02/2015 15:06

This mary/dev/julie thing is so annoying. I found julie tolerable before this but her flapping around just bugs me. Julie works better in my opinion as a glorified extra. But like camolips says maybe it's been bland so that it doesn't take the limelight off EE, also perhaps that's why they did the faye realising she was up the duff this week so it slips under the radar slightly?

salthill · 20/02/2015 15:13

As if Julie wouldn't have considered the possibility that the food was for the kids. She'd have given it loads of thought before accusing Mary of being a thief.

CharityD · 20/02/2015 15:58

Exactly salthill, and it's not as if Mary was furtively sneaking around the shop, pocketing random stuff.

With the high drama in Emmerdale and of course, Eastenders, I'm glad of bits of comedy in Corrie, and I did enjoy Gail and Audrey discussing what happened with Callum.

I'm not sure what the point is of bringing back Jenny Bradley (again).

desperatehousewife21 · 20/02/2015 16:47

I like Mary and Julie but most def NOT together!

ajandjjmum · 20/02/2015 18:10

Wasn't there a situation recently where Julie took a pizza from the shop, and asked Sophie to make a note of it? So I suppose that's the form when it's for Dev and the kids, and Mary ignored it which made Julie leap to conclusions.

CharityD · 20/02/2015 20:07

Scriptwriters reading thread Wink.... There was actually a mention of who would mind kids TWICE tonight!
