As someone else said, the last one was a wasted opportunity.

I would like to give tickets to:

Simon
Chesney & girlfriend
Faye
All the Windasses
Tracey-Luv
Michelle
Sawphie
Owen
Kal and all his family

Plenty more seats available, feel free to add some more passengers!

I think Craig and Faye were both very good last night. The scene with Craig, with Beth and Kirky was one of the sweetest things, in a long time.
I dislike the fact that poor old Craig will get blamed, firstly, of course Owen will attack him, and when the truth is revealed, I think people will still ask why didn't he tell anyone. He was just doing his best to be a friend, in a situation that was just too much for him and Faye to cope with.

I thought Sally was hilarious, especially when she tried to help, at the birth. For once, it was Tim who was reining her in, likewise in the bistro, when she was so OTT with Carla's customer.

I don't think Carla and Nick should get together. Hopefully he still is with Kim Tate / Erica. I know she reappeared briefly, recently.
Carla is one of my favourite characters, and I find Nick really one dimensional. He pulls the same face to show any emotion, whether happy, sad of angry, IMO.

www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/things-coronation-street-dont-make-8971929 some of you might enjoy this.

Best episodes in ages - great acting - and the most annoying characters weren't in it. (OK Gary was but at least his didn't say much)
Was wondering why Craig didn't go for his won mum first, or why Sawphie didn't just call an ambulance, but that would have missed the chance for the whole street to get involved
I love Sarah's jacket

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 04/04/2015 10:37

I fear Sally will become insufferably smug in the coming weeks "well at least my girls didnt get pregnant at such a young age" type thing.

Someone is bound to move into that little flat now, it appears it was forgotten about until they needed a bolt hole for Faye - maybe Sarah and Bethany?

Is it really bad that I actually think the guy playing Callum is a good actor? The faces he pulls and his timing is just spot on.

afreshstartplease · 04/04/2015 10:40

I thought Sophie did phone an ambulance!

Good episodes last night better than expected

AgathaChristie01 · 04/04/2015 11:35

I think Owen was the one checking where the ambulance was, when he was out on the street. Not sure if that means he was the one who called it.
Last night had some very good moments. Still a lot of actors that can be done without, IMO, including Bethany and Sarah, and Callum.

EachandEveryone · 04/04/2015 13:05

I actually like those three in it. There's much worse out there! I haven't seen Devs family since he went.

DocHollywood · 04/04/2015 13:13

Have enjoyed this week's episodes and Faye's acting in labour was good. One fly in the ointment for me was the 'feisty' comment from Hanlon to Nick about Carla. He should have been placed in the humbled position after his idiotic posturing made Carla put him in his place, and leave, not feeling pleased with himself and able to make that put-down.

MadgeFinn · 04/04/2015 14:27

I don't think it works having Sarah and Bethany as mother and daughter. Sarah just looks too young. Even though she had her at such a young age, the fact that Sarah still looks like a teenager herself and still has the mannerisms and way of talking of a teenager makes it all look unrealistic.
I'm also not liking the character of Bethany.

AgathaChristie01 · 04/04/2015 14:46

I agree. They have made Bethany too OTT . 'Is Callum going to be my new daddy' Easter Hmm And Sarah taking up with Callum to spite David is too predictable .
I thought the scene with Tracy ripping open her dressing gown for Tony's benefit, was silly stuff. It's another storyline they need to move forward, and let Liz know about them. It's dragged too long now.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 04/04/2015 14:49

Liked that link, hilda. We've been saying all that for ages!

Carla and Nick could be good I think - I've always had a soft spot for Nick, even when he had a different head.

As much as she annoys me I did feel really sorry for Faye, the poor thing didn't know what was going on, isn't Craig a really good friend to have, he is such a dote and I know Owen will just kick off at him.

I thought Sally was great last night, worrying about Carla and could she cope with the meeting without her Grin

Loving Tim more and more, I really hope he stays in it, him and Sally are great together.

Is Erica not coming back so, not sure Nick and Carla would work and Tracey needs to go, she is so bloody awful all the time.

AgathaChristie01 · 04/04/2015 18:31

Yes, I thought it was really poignant that she was worried that Anna would send her back to care, because of this, and I also liked that she said thanks to Craig, when she was being taken away in the ambulance. Poor old Craig, he did his best for her.

Pyjamaramadrama · 04/04/2015 19:31

I was dreading the Faye storyline but I actually think her and Craig played it well. I felt so sorry for her and I normally find her quite irritating.

Pyjamaramadrama · 04/04/2015 19:32

I'm not sure about Sarah and Bethany. I think Bethany does look like Sarah's daughter, but she's being over the top. I don't remember Sarah having such a bad attitude before.

millimat · 05/04/2015 13:06

Love that link hildasmuriel

SymphonyofShadows · 05/04/2015 14:07

Did anyone else think that there may be an Anna and Tim frisson? She was desperately trying to get out of sleeping with Owen, and there was a moment in the hospital when he said he cried when Faye was born that I thought she looked at him tenderly

Clawdy · 05/04/2015 14:26

I think maybe she was just seeing him as a contrast to Owen - perhaps wishing Owen was a bit softer. I'm actually a bit sorry for Owen at the moment, they are obviously building up to his departure and it can't be a happy one....

AgathaChristie01 · 05/04/2015 16:26

I would hate if the scriptwriters split up Sally and Tim. They are just so funny together. I think Tim and Anna would drive each other mad, very quickly, although they seem to have been getting on ok of late.

SymphonyofShadows · 05/04/2015 16:39

I wouldn't want them to split up Sally and Tim either. Owen is on the way out though and Tim has been standing up to Sally more lately so I wondered. Scriptwriters would be mad to though.

TrulyTurtles · 05/04/2015 16:52

Sally is such a sanctimonious cow. But as they say pride in soaps goes before a fall.
Ds (who in his teens was a big Corrie fan) came in looked at Bethany and SL and said "fuck off if that's Bethany"
Poor Faye-but I think the story is powerful and important.

AgathaChristie01 · 05/04/2015 17:37

Yes, I thought it was very funny when Tim was the sensible one, in the bistro, dragging Sally away, when she was trying to 'help'. Grin
It's one of the best pairings Corrie has done, in years, IMO. Sally and her notions, always being brought back to earth by Tim. Grin.
There were some very touching moments in Friday night's episodes, I thought.

millimat · 06/04/2015 21:23

Poor Kirky !!

millimat · 06/04/2015 21:28

If you lived in a flat, would you put the baby in the pram before going down the stairs?!

eddiemairswife · 06/04/2015 23:04

What time of year is it in Weatherfield? Are they on quadruple summertime? Max was sent up to bed in broad daylight, Sarah had a meal out with Jason and came back home - still daylight, and Eileen refused to have a coffee because it keeps her awake if she has it 'at this time of night'. It's STILL daylight.
