He could stil get shiny shins whilst acquiring his shiny chin.....we'd just need to be creative with our positioning Grin

BloodyElkFire · 16/02/2015 13:08

Fuck me he's beautiful

BloodyElkFire · 16/02/2015 13:09

That cart's too narrow......he doesn't look comfortable with his knees pressed together

BloodyElkFire · 16/02/2015 13:10

No chance of unpacking any boxes today

Enormouse · 16/02/2015 13:11

Guys how do you stop socks going missing? Do I need to glue them on?

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/02/2015 13:13

So Elk, did you like it? Grin

BloodyElkFire · 16/02/2015 13:26

What do you think wicked ?Grin

BloodyElkFire · 16/02/2015 13:28

In other news....one of the cats has pooed in the bidet! It's an improvement on pissing on the rug I suppose, but if they're going to start that caper why didn't they just use the loo, it's right next door!

IssyStark · 16/02/2015 13:41

Elk Rar for finally having watched! Boo for cat related business!

Btw all, a sneak peek of Friday's episode has been uploaded at spoilertv.

FancyFancy · 16/02/2015 14:56

Well, it looks like elk had a good morning Grin

Confused at the cat/bidet situation, but it could save you a fortune in cat litter!

If there is a perfect solution to the missing sock conundrum I haven't found it mouse. Multipacks of identical socks are my answer - at least the lone survivor of a pair can then still be used. Or embrace the chaos & wear odd socks.

Thanks for that link issy, although I'm now worried that Aramis is going to get all outraged & do something stupid.

Enormouse · 16/02/2015 15:24

I like the sound of that cat elk. She's almost potty trained. Maybe these are the answer

fancy they're usually in odd socks Grin.
I made the mistake of buying the same socks in different sizes and a fight broke out over them. Won't be doing that again.

they both need new clothes and I don't like anything in the shops at the mo. Baby can't even go into toddlers clothes as baby is long and lanky and toddler is short and stocky with his dad's shoulders. So everything is stretched and not quite long enough.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 16/02/2015 15:35

NOOOOOOO! Don't talk about the spoilers pllleeeeease.

FancyFancy · 16/02/2015 15:59

Don't worry that's just me speculating wildly sparks, he didn't actually do anything in the trailer that was remotely reckless. In fact the most dangerous thing he did was canter along on his horse looking beautiful Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 16/02/2015 16:11

It's like that Health and Safety Musketeer thing 'Number of days worked in Garrison without Aramis' love life putting the kingdon in danger...' Grin

Off on emergency food run now.

Re socks - yes to buying sets of identical ones so it doesn't matter if one goes missing.

IssyStark · 16/02/2015 16:25

Mouse, I feel your pain re kids' clothes. My two are both boys and born 5y9d apart so you'd think they'd fit the sme seasonal clothing. Do they buggery. Both are short and stocky (like their mum) but ds2 is even shorter than ds1 and about 1/2 year behind in clothing sizes, so he fits ds1's summer hand-me-downs...

Have you had a look at Verbaudet? I tend to find quite a bit of stuff in there that isn't like the high street and their sales are good (even if their discount codes are too confusing for my poor little brain).

Enormouse · 16/02/2015 16:37

Vertbaudet fries my brain too but I love their sleepsuits with the arse flap.
I've managed to find some stuff in good ol' reliable h and m. They have a sale on. So baby is sorted but I'm going to have to go in store for toddler. I find sainsburys quite good too.

Boys stuff (and girls for that matter) can be so hit and miss.

Lyndie · 16/02/2015 16:41

Afternoon all.

MrsB meant to say well done on the weight loss! Excellent progress!

Elk have you calmed down yet? Wet flannel here if you need one.

LaRedoute also nice for boys clothes but be warned they come up quite small, French children must be tiny!!

ApricotCrush · 16/02/2015 16:55

Afternoon wenchi!

So glad you've been able to watch Elk, and BabyElk is as gorgeous as ever. Smile

The ratings for ep 5 were 2.92 million, down a touch from 3.1, although the audience percentage was slightly up at 13.9% from 13.8% for ep 4. I don't suppose there will be any improvement, but it's not so important now.

ApricotCrush · 16/02/2015 17:05

And ...

Cornfield gif set [thud]

Enormouse · 16/02/2015 17:11

I thought that when I bought stuff from vertbaudet lyndie. Toddler isn't big but the stuff from there fit him perfectly even though I sized up.

I didn't think athos knew how to smile. It's suits him.

Baddz · 16/02/2015 17:35

I buy a lot of the kids stuff from next tbh.
I order a shedload to try for size, they get to try them on at home (no shopping...yay!) and anything I they don't like goes back :)
Yes...I am that lazy!
Also like boden stuff but only buy from e bay...just too pricey for me :(
HATE matalan clothes. Awful, mad sizing and dont wash well.
Had some nice stuff from sainsbos (tops)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 16/02/2015 17:44

I can watch that cornfield thingy all day

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 16/02/2015 18:46

Thankyou Twitter! I have watched Friday's episode twice now & both times noticed Aramis limping. And promptly forgot to comment on it - & nobody else in here did to remind me. But seems like there was one other person who did & she's tweeted. Got to have been a Soccer Aid injury, surely? If he did his World Cup Seat from that set - would've been June, & so was SA.

How did I do, Mrs Beee? Grin

ChaiseLounger · 16/02/2015 18:55

Hopes sleep deprived Elk is ok.

Enormouse · 16/02/2015 19:11

I ebay a lot. The boys have some cath kidston shirts and monsoon things I got for peanuts from there.

I love sainburys stuff, really lovely and not sludgy mud boy colours.
I struggle with babymouse as he's so long that what fits him at the waist usually has a gap at his ankles.

I ended up getting some bright stripy tops and cords and a matching set of green dinosaur sweatshirts. Inspired by that thread.
this one Grin
