Have rewatched and screencapped the Athos bits, well it was mostly him, wasn't it?

I haven't read the book, but Wikipedia says that Athos first knew her as Anne de Breuil. I have listened numerous times to the two occasions when he said it but have been unable to hear it, although my hearing isn't what it used to be. I did hear it last night though, and my little heart leapt, I'm such a shipper for those two. They can never have a happy ever after, but I do hope they can have a shag be together again if only briefly before the end of the series. They will always love each other. The cornfield scene was beautifully filmed.
Also sorry he gave up his land and the income from it, but surely he cannot give up his title, he will always be who he is. He made the innkeeper the Mayor, to rule in his name.
I'm worried about Catherine, she's out to get Milady. Hopefully Athos will save her in a shoot-out situation. I've read that episodes 9 and 10 will be a finale two-parter, perhaps that story will be part of it.
We've complained about the music this series, but I thought it fitted in well last night.
