See. I want to hate Milady. And I did, especially when she was snogging Athos in the rain(S1).
But now I just feel that she was wronged. I think Thomas the golden child was self entitled and probably not very nice.
But Athos will feel that his whole relationship was a sham because she never told him what she was before. And you can't get over that.
He obviously can't. So Catherine's point was fair, it bothered him more that she tricked him. But then, so it should.
Catherine is well nasty. The way she spoke to the inn keepers daughter! She grew up with Athos but he never liked her in that way. That hurts. And to make it worse, because of Milady stealing his affections, she then gets passed to horrible second son, and then that too is stolen from her. No wonders she resents Milady!
But Athos still loves Milady. Although he hates himself for loving her still. She told him that, in passing, in the market place lady week. They must be together. I can see no other way.
And yes, me too, VERY upset that he renounced his Comtess-ship. That is so wrong. I am VERY unhappy about that.
But generally I so loved last night , that I just feel all happy, warm and fuzzy......
