Anyone spot the error in the first 5 minutes of torchwood regarding the comment Capt Jack made about oestrogen?

It does't get into the rain, only the water evaporates, any solids disoved get left behind!
I tutted over this and Dh said I was 'sad'

He then went on to point out that with those rank tabs he was Group Captain Jack, and would be called Group Captain, not captain.

So I called him sad.

A marriage made in pedantic heaven!

(19 years tomorrow!)

there's a sexy scene between him and the lead female in ep 3 that is just astoundingly unconvincing and kinda cringey... i really like him when he appears as himself cos i think his energy is amazing, but there's a hyper competitive american thing (i know he is scottish, really) that i find most unnapealing. (also he is NOT sexy)

Well I enjoyed it. Not the most earth shattering stuff maybe but still enjoyable way to spend the evening.

Anyone know if the future episodes are repeated?
We are away at a cottage with no telly this weekend so am going to miss episode 3

I could not quite make up my mind abot it. I really like a good science fiction prog. It seemed to me to be too cheesy to be real grown up stuff, but with some ridiculously close to the mark grown up content IYKWIM.

I don't think I have EVER seen BBC do a gratuitous wank scene, and although it did make me laugh - I was surprised as they MUST know that a lot of older Dr Who fans would be wanting to watch this one, depite 9pm watershed?

And yes - I was also saying "but the entity is GAS - it could just wander out those ventilation holes??????"

and when the alien says "no - it has to be a man", and I am yelling "but the female orgasm is MUCH better - therefore bigger energy. What? an Alien who cannot be bothered to work at it? Gah!"
