I can't see a thread about this, I'm not the only one watching surely?!

Anyone?

OP posts:

Unless murdered is different.

ShebaRabbit · 15/02/2015 11:36

The young scientist guy say Christopher Ecc was still alive when he got there, then he was whisked off to the research centre where the little boy is in the chamber and the suspicious doc said he was dead. Maybe we haven't seen the last of CE character?

forago · 15/02/2015 19:00

what episode is it up to on Sky? lobe all your theories, mammoth carcass is definitely contagious I reckon. Either that or it will soon thaw out, wake up, and be mightily pissed off that someone has yanked a tooth outd cut off his tusks.

AnyFucker · 15/02/2015 19:11

I thought it was a pile of crap Smile

AnyFucker · 15/02/2015 19:12

DustBunnyFarmer · 15/02/2015 21:11

It a pile of crap, but it's very scenic crap.

PacificDogwood · 15/02/2015 21:52

We are just watching Episode 3 for the third time, trying to make some sense of it HmmGrin

We are strangely compelled to make it make sense, dammit!!

Clearly have too much time on our hands….

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 15/02/2015 22:02

I did start a thread based on the ads before the show started ,no one answered Sad.

Anyway, wr love it although we haven't a clue what's going on.

I love Richard Dormer and I hope he's not a shape shifting man eating bear.

I do think him and her with the gorgeous hair have a connection, hence her ready to fire the gun in previous episode when he showed up unannounced.

I love it so far.

DustBunnyFarmer · 15/02/2015 22:13

I want to know what Darren Boyd's deal is with the frizzy haired woman. He's clearly a feeder and she's snaffling all the grub he's feeding her, but is he fattening her up to eat or what?

AnyFucker · 15/02/2015 23:58

I recommend you give up on that bollocks and watch the film "Wild" with Reese Witherspoon if you like scenery.

Zipitydooda · 16/02/2015 00:35

DH and I are mainly concerned that people are not dressed warm enough for the environment and that the doors and windows are very flimsy. Aren't they all freezing cold all the time?

Lammy7 · 16/02/2015 12:43

Episode 3 made me want more! Is Stanley Tucci dies then I am out of there! The snow is making me feel ill though, hate it...hate looking at it!
I think it is trying to hard to be all mysterious and that is annoying me.

APlaiceInTheSun · 16/02/2015 12:52

YY Zipity especially Sheriff Dan going out into the freezing cold when he's soaking wet.

I am loving it - it's enjoyable tosh. Am very nervous it will do a Lost though.

Plus - who feeds the huskies? That's not Ronnie's house is it? Or do they pick the dried fish from the fence?

Deux · 16/02/2015 12:52

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused by this. I'm loving all the parka styles though. And the scenery and the snow and ice.

I'm finding all the different accents really jarring and a bit mumbly so been watching with the subtitles on.

Gunpowder · 16/02/2015 13:06

I love it so far but no idea what's going on. Smile I thought I was a bit thick.

YY accents are a bit distracting and not always consistent. Why does Michael Gambon sometimes speak in RP and sometimes like a cockney sparrow?

PTAblues · 16/02/2015 13:08

It is such a pile of crap. The dialogue is so rubbish and don't care if they all get some prehistoric virus. Bring it on.
Why did Dan Dan the sherrif man drive from the boat to the police station to get the dna results. Has he not got a mobile phone? Then he abandoned the car and ran to the hotel.
I never know who anyone is they all have beards, anoraks and rifles.

DustBunnyFarmer · 16/02/2015 20:48

I never know who anyone is they all have beards, anoraks and rifles.

I get this a lot nowadays, especially period dramas where there are loads of blokes all with the same haircut and similar clothes. They almost need floating nametags like the avatars in Minecraft.

PacificDogwood · 16/02/2015 20:50

They are ALL weird
It is so totally like Twin Peaks - that annoyed the heck out of me at the time too Grin

And yes, if Stanley Tucci gets finished off, I will cease watching in disgust.
That'll learn them!!

Racers · 17/02/2015 12:48

I like the scenery. Plot, script and acting all pretty dodgy but it's quite enjoyable in a way. I'm also concerned it is Lost Lite, but will see... Lots of issues with things but the one which is bugging me the most is the 'can't die on the island because the body won't decompose' line - don't people question that bodies can be a) transported, b) cremated c) buried at sea? Or are there issues with those options too?! All a bit daft but strangely compelling..!

Fiderer · 17/02/2015 13:13

I'm enjoying it, v icey tosh.

And yy to Gambon's wandering accent and how cold they must be. Bit like something I read about Game of Thrones and how the Night Watch would have hooded cloaks and thus warmly wrapped heads but the viewers would have found it harder to figure out who was who.

Who was it that Gambon rang in the Met who took his drunken ramblings so seriously that they flew out Smooth Stanley? And what was that about the data Billy Pettigrew had?

YesAnastasia · 20/02/2015 10:04

Super creepy last night. The feeder made me shiver, he's a weird one.

And it's true about the boy covered in blood!!

Do we think the Sheriff is good or bad? I think he'll be good in the end.

Hilde is dodge & I love Morton, his character is definitely needed. He cuts through all the bullshit.

ShebaRabbit · 21/02/2015 11:26

That feeder definitely has wider food issues- the smirk when the doc ate the whale, I thought she'd tear into him. Wonder what the blood outside the tent was from?
Next weeks trailer showed the boy walking alone in the snow, wonder where thats going?

Fiderer · 21/02/2015 13:50

I wondered if the girl had attacked some animal and then woke her dad. She didn't realize she'd done it as she was in a mammoth trance. Though she looked a bit stunned. Though I didn't think that tent looked v warm dspite all the furs etc.

Was thinking that not everyone who touched the mammoth is affected by it in the same way. Jason (who hit CE) and the woman scientist don't appear to be - yet anyway. But Liam was, whoever CE let in (Jason or Carrie's dad?) could have been, Shirley gave an ominous sniff after going into the mammoth shed... with a lingering shot of the sawn tusk, possibly indicating it is releasing more spooky stuff.

basildonbond · 21/02/2015 14:46

What is going on with the creepy guy encouraging his overweight girlfriend to keep eating? PP have talked about him as a 'feeder' as if it's a recognised thing - is it?? I've never heard of it before and am baffled Confused

Fiderer · 21/02/2015 15:22

I've never heard of it either but assume it's a controlling manipulative head and bodyfuck to make an overweight person more so. Or make a thin person fatter.
Bloody creepy. Wonder why her doctor mum doesn't see it.
