Series 1 was on a Sunday night, the perfect slot for a period action/adventure drama. Then Series 2 was scheduled on a Friday, which was questionable in itself for this genre of programme - but to add insult to injury we are are being messed around over & over as it is cancelled to make way for other events. Last week it was an FA Cup match. Next week it is a Rugby match. There will also be Comic Relief. Anything else you'd like to boot if off for? So the series suffers from a lack of continuity, loses viewers hand over fist & its many fans who want to enjoy it properly are very very upset. Why do this BBC? If you want to use that slot for other stuff, why put The Musketeers in there in the first place? Do you want to set it up to fail? It seems crazy - you have spent what must be a good deal of money on lavish sets, costumes & a fabulous team of cast & crew which have made the programme the UK's biggest drama export abroad after Dr Who & attract great reviews each week in the press- but what are you trying to do to it 'at home'? There are thousands of loyal fans out there who are very vocal in their criticism of this on social media - can you provide justification or an explanation - & how about some reassurance that we WILL be getting a 3rd series? I look forward to your response. It seems it's not a case of 'All For One' after all. From a very angry and confused Musketeers fan.

I think it's been very calculated by the BBC. It's on a Friday precisely because it has a strong loyal batshit fanbase who will stick with it regardless. They'll pull 3m + audiences despite it missing weeks and what else is there that could do that? Anything too big would cause too much of an outcry, anything without as much support would wither. With iPlayer too then it's perfect for them. Total and utter disrespect for the fans though, especially when coupled with the lack of promo over here.

I'll email too. But I do wonder if kicking up a Twitter storm and emailing proves precisely the facts that got it stuck on the Fri evening slot. That said, if they hurry up and announce season 3 I'll be happier. Wonder if they are waiting to do it just before BBC Showcase to influence buyers?

I only put this here up calm those of you dreading having teenagers. Yes they are massively expensive creatures who grow out of clothes then have opinions and want certain stupidly expensive brands from poorly lit stupid shops. Yes, they eat all your food. Yes they worry you to death going out to places you don't know and then you worry what they are doing. Then you worry about them having sex. And then they interrupt you having sex. But they stay in bed for ages and you can have a lovely lie in.

Jess P IMO can't vocalise how peed off she is. But she's tweeting enough stuff that there's no doubt. I just think we can do it for her & the rest of them that make the programme, we're in a position to do so, she can't openly criticise the Beeb. We can though as it's our licence money.

This is just about the scheduling though. I don't think they need criticising about lack of sex etc - that is another issue & they've gone down a certain route & who knows? We may get more of what we'd like to see as the series progresses. I think we might be living in cloud cuckoo land though, if we think we're gonna get to see A actually in the throes rather than picking it out of his teeth afterwards
