"Passmethecrisps desperately wants to move her young family to Australia in pursuit of one thing . . . Crispy chips"

Hismumhermum · 11/02/2015 10:00

They moved back!

susiedaisy · 11/02/2015 10:01

Argh they're back in the UK That's a shame Hmm

EternalBeauPlate · 11/02/2015 10:02

Whaaatttttt despite the crispy chips they moved back
Did the daughter and her bf too?

Hismumhermum · 11/02/2015 10:03

Yes!

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2015 10:04

Did they??? When did it say that?

Obviously those crisps weren't as good as they looked

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2015 10:04

Chips. Not crisps.

Weird. Elderly granny unwell?

EternalBeauPlate · 11/02/2015 10:05

Maybe the were too crispy.
I thought the daughter would stay.
Oh well.

Hismumhermum · 11/02/2015 10:05

After giving Australia a shot, since filming took place last year, the family have returned to live in the UK.
Although they enjoyed their year in Australia, on balance the family felt the country just didn’t offer enough to keep the family there on a long term basis.
After Kerry and John returned to the UK, Chloe and Sam stayed on for a short period, but have also since returned home. We wish the family all the best for the future.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2015 10:07

Good work hismum.

Lady just couldn't settle maybe?

forago · 11/02/2015 10:11

a bit sad that a truck driver earns more than a midwife

Batmam · 11/02/2015 11:12

So to recap, each family from this series of revisited has either moved down under (or intended to move pending visa) or to Surrey?

getdownshep · 11/02/2015 11:33

Maybe the novelty of having him home every night wore off.
Must have been a big adjustment after living practically seperate lives for so long.

Passmethecrisps · 11/02/2015 11:42
Jackieharris · 11/02/2015 11:45

I'd imagine the youngsters could only get one year visas.

Surely they anticipated this?

Shame it was a sad ending.

sailorsgal · 11/02/2015 11:47

whattt??? the walk in wardrobe, endless sunshine, life/work balance and a pool wasn't enough???Wink

northender · 11/02/2015 11:48

I hope they've managed to change their lifestyle here

Vagndidit · 11/02/2015 13:02

Cannot imagine the costs involved in moving over for one year and then moving back. A year is nothing. I'm only just starting to feel settled here in the UK and it's been 4 and a half years.

Don't think they gave it a fair shot if it was only 12 months.

Hismumhermum · 11/02/2015 15:16

I agree, costs must be huge. Although if they rented out their uk place (fully furnished?) then that would keep the costs down, along with making it feel less like a permanent move.
My brother moved to Melbourne from London (although we are originally antipodean) and it took him two years to feel settled. We are one year into our (within uk) move and still finding it hard.

WilsonWilsonWoman · 12/02/2015 09:00

Morning guys!

susiedaisy · 12/02/2015 09:04

I'm here but will probably only watch the last 30 mins. Smile

oneflewoutofthecrazynest · 12/02/2015 09:33

Oh a local couple Smile i missed them first time round.

Sparklingbrook · 12/02/2015 09:33

Me too Wilson. I think it gets to the point where the novelty wears off and you start to not care what they do....
