Have started a new one

OP posts:

They're running away from something aren't they? Debts? No evidence whatsoever for this but the only explanation I can think of for such a ludicrous decision.

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 12:39

I felt they sort of felt they had to go for it or try it as theyd talked about it for so long and applied for visas 5yrs ago. Sort of now or never. I bet mum wanted to back out when pregnancy was announced but they'd already sold their house at that point so felt committed. That's my take on putting themselves through all this misery. I didn't think it was debt.

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 12:47

Just so we're clear on our fundraising activities:

Poor Brendan court fees to keep his kids in uk.

Poor Stephen needs someone to go to Australia with.

Poor sheri needs a one way flight to Essex to be with her grand daughter.

Bakeoffcakes · 06/02/2015 13:01

getdownshep I thought the same as you about her in the garden, she looked so lonely.

I don't understand their decision at all. It all seemed so odd- very very close family separate when all the parents needed to so was downsize in England. Confused

LegsOfSteel · 06/02/2015 13:11

They seemed a bit too close knit. During the trial week they were moping because the eldest son wasn't there. FFS - he's a grown man with a wife (and his own life?). Just seemed a bit weird to me. But maybe I'm a bit emotionally stunted.

ssd · 06/02/2015 15:19

definitely something not being explained here

the dad said his boys were his best friends, so why move away and leave them?

they wanted a house the same size as in England but theres only 3 of them

very weird

getdownshep · 06/02/2015 16:48

Neither of them wanted to be the one to pull out at the last minute.
I think they bought that big house with a pool to try and convince the sons to join themSad

Davros · 06/02/2015 17:06

The hairdresser son took over the mum's beauty salon business, perfect solution to her working hours and responsibilities. They said a few times that they should move because of the daughter, I didn't get that at all

sailorsgal · 06/02/2015 17:46

they said the son had visa complications. Dh said that probably meant a criminal record.

2468Motorway · 07/02/2015 20:30

This one is so strange. I have no idea why this family would go. I think they must be kidding themselves that they will visit often. Seems like they just want a pool and a beach.

2468Motorway · 07/02/2015 20:31

Sorry just catching up!

meglet · 09/02/2015 09:22

here.

Batmam · 09/02/2015 09:22

Checking in! Who's watching? Can't imagine the Dad as a SAHP but thinking that they will move over. Sad that he'd be leaving an older daughter in uk though

malteserzz · 09/02/2015 09:27

I remember this one from last time, have checked FB to see if they've made the move but won't spoil it !

JoanHickson · 09/02/2015 09:27

I don't warm to him at all.

Cherrypie32 · 09/02/2015 09:27

I remember them and I think I thought why not just become a stay at home dad in uk?

northender · 09/02/2015 09:28

I remember this one

HiawathaDidntBotherTooMuch · 09/02/2015 09:30

Why doesn't he stay at home in the UK, and she work in the UK. And downsize, if there is too much outdoor work on their property?

Batmam · 09/02/2015 09:31

Ha no don't spoil it! Not warming to h either, seems strict - kids had to spend his days off clearing their messHmm

JoanHickson · 09/02/2015 09:32

It doesn't take much imagination to work out why he is on his second family.

meglet · 09/02/2015 09:33

joan it doesn't does it.

Batmam · 09/02/2015 09:34

This programme gives me the rage though, what's the point having a budget if they're just going to ignore it?

Vagndidit · 09/02/2015 09:35

Bah...missed the beginning of this one. He looks a wee bit...older.

aphrodites · 09/02/2015 09:38

The people on this show always look a bit, weather beaten?

Vagndidit · 09/02/2015 09:40

Wonder how much tax he'd have to pay out on that UK pension?
