Morning all. ooh a baby. Grin

ssd · 06/02/2015 09:47

the daughter wants an outdoor life, but she sure doesnt look the outdoorsy type

meglet · 06/02/2015 09:48

don't these people think? babies were bound to start appearing at that stage in their lives.

ssd · 06/02/2015 09:48

why on earth did they leave their 2 sons and a baby to be?

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2015 09:49

Why are they doing this? Remind me.

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 09:50

They're so silly- why were they surprised that their sons were starting families??! It was clearly the next step.

meglet · 06/02/2015 09:50

outdoorsy type. but working in an office.

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 09:51

I think grace will feel quite lonely. Maybe I'm wrong.

Germgirl · 06/02/2015 09:52

Grace has picked up the Australian way of talking already.

meglet · 06/02/2015 09:53

he's annoying me calling them 'girls' all the time.

ssd · 06/02/2015 09:54

dont these people realise you can cut your hours in the UK?

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2015 09:55

Miss them with a smile my arse.

meglet · 06/02/2015 09:56

if they wanted sunshine they could have moved to Devon or Cornwall.

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2015 09:57

She doesn't look very happy does she?

Jackieharris · 06/02/2015 09:59

With today's family why didn't they try to move when the sons were still teens so they could have all gone?

They seem such an exceptionally close family.

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 09:59

Gosh she's sad isn't she. They'll come home soon unles grace has a baby. They seemed so sad and in shock really.

Sparklingbrook · 06/02/2015 10:01

The Mum never smiled. For someone who is so thrilled she hadn't told her face had she?

meglet · 06/02/2015 10:03

yy, they won't stay out there for long.

I think next week is the last week. I shall arrange my housework, gym and errand schedule accordingly Grin .

shakemysilliesout · 06/02/2015 10:04

I diagnose extreme regret and homesickness.

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 06/02/2015 10:12

That was bizarre - why on earth would you knowingly move in these circumstances? They all looked so sad and lonely - no friends (did you notice when mother said it was fine the kitchen was small as they basically didn't have anyone over to cook for). Just the three of them huddled together staring sadly out at the water or eating calypsos in the tin fenced garden. You can do that in the UK, FFS. And it was fucking cloudy and over-cast too

Also, did anyone notice the shrines wall of photos behind the dad?

Davros · 06/02/2015 10:13

Bizarre decision

TrendStopper · 06/02/2015 11:37

I remember this family and werent fond of them the first time. I too dont know why they didnt move five years ago when they first got their visas. No way would i leave my kids when im about to be a granny.

susiedaisy · 06/02/2015 12:01

Just caught the last ten mins of the program but agree they look miserable. Nice house but they look lost and lonely. Hmm

CurbsideProphet · 06/02/2015 12:11

I just watched this episode and found it really depressing.

getdownshep · 06/02/2015 12:20

Why didn't they just downsize their house in Essex?
They didn't need four bedrooms as their sons had left home, they could have reduced their mortgage and worked less hours.
I found this episode very sad, when the mum was sitting in the garden trimming the bushes she looked very depressed.
Also if they have just started jobs it doesn't look good that they all want probably a months holiday to come back to the UK!
