Just watching my favourite scene in episode 5 - the restaurant - before going to bed and calculating that it's only 3 weeks on Sunday before I'm there! Stag pants, best frock and push up bra at the ready. Definitely no hold-ups though!! I wonder if my friend would mind a slight diversion to Brize Norton village (as it's the nearest we will get to the base itself) en route. Not sure I could find a logical explanation for the diversion though but I am doing all the driving so I guess she won't have any option if that's what I decide to do.

Onlygirljen · 29/01/2015 22:29

ilove I'm sure he would contend that he was! Hmm

Richtea19 · 29/01/2015 22:30

cherin you are f..king awesome. I don't even give blood. Bloody brilliant.

Onlygirljen · 29/01/2015 22:32

Another Anthony Nolan register member here. Did the swab when a boy in my eldest's year was diagnosed with leukaemia, and his mum put out an appeal for potential donors. Can't recommend that people sign up for it highly enough.

cherin · 29/01/2015 22:42

Glad you find it inspiring. I don't give blood either and I am 0 rh- so I am fucking criminal, not awesome, but I have an history of aenemia and a serious disgust at the sight of blood...BUT the procedure to get in the register and also for the actual donation (if needed) has changed so much over the years, now it's really easy and donation doesn't require the spinal syringe and no night in the hospital, literally they have made the choice a no-brainer. Considering the effect you can have on the perspective of happiness of a whole family...a swab is nothing, and if organised in a large school I bet you can get easily a few hundred more donors in just an afternoon. Parents, friends, passers by...multiply that for a few schools every year, suddenly the ratio may not be that desperate!
(I also tried to donate the umbilical cord blood, but both times it wasn't possible. With the first child...they run out of the special bags for freezing the day before!!! :-((( second timr, the hospital simply could not do it. Bollocks!)

Richtea19 · 29/01/2015 22:48

I just went to the Anthony Nolan web page to register and I'm too old Shock.

Richtea19 · 29/01/2015 22:49

cherin I did try to give blood, but both times I was anaemic. Also hate the site of blood. I literally cry when I have to give.

Rhubarb01 · 29/01/2015 22:52

Yes just had a look and the window is aged 16-30 so its a bit of a youngsters thing by the look of it. Can't give blood either as I have had transfusions - so that's me on the scrap heap!

Nickel45 · 29/01/2015 23:17

Laurielove got back to me :)
She says hello and "... my passion for OG and CJ is undiminished, please assure everyone, and I would LOVE to write more for them soon. I cannot say when, but I really do want to. I still have a conversation in my head between Molly and CJ's mother ... Thanks for the thoughts, and say hello to everyone."

cjwoofwoof · 29/01/2015 23:24

As there's no fix of KA and his overflowing goblet in Reign this week I've just caught up with the delish Matthew Goode in the new series of Good Wife. What is it about Devonian men? Hope he's invited to the wrestling/AGM/measuring queue Smile

Richtea19 · 29/01/2015 23:25

Wow, well done nickel medal to you for "above and beyond". Great news. No updates for FF today, which means we will probably get a bumper load tomorrow. Night all

Richtea19 · 29/01/2015 23:27

Must go to sleep, but oh yes Matthew Goode, he does a good American accent too. definatley on the list :)

Morning! I finally had a BA dream! Ok, he didn't actually feature in it, but I like to think I'm working up to that...

Anyway, in my dream he had finished filming reign and taken a part in a west end play, which we were organising a mumsnet trip to visit en masse. I was genuinely surprised for a minute this morning when I came on and nobody was mentioning it!

Good news re LL, well done nickel!

icemistOBE · 30/01/2015 07:16

You're getting closer jen

I had a dream I was in Toronto the other night and met him on the plane home in 1st class and spent the flight home talking to him as he was on his own. We exchanged numbers and we met up for a meal and then I woke up so don't know how it went after the meal

AT LAST! I have had a CJ dream!!! Not quite what I'd have liked, but beggars can't be choosers. CJ was playing the conveyor belt game in The Generation Game. I was sitting the opposite side of the conveyor belt and putting the objects on. He was bare chested and quite hairy and I was desperate to get back to the thread to tell you all about the chest hair! Sadly, the dream then morphed into a long school based dream with no CJ in sight. I'd much preferred to have your dream icemist.

Ilovelblue · 30/01/2015 08:36

Morning. An inch of snow here. Seems it may have partially melted then frozen so side roads round here a mess.

Statistically, the time we spend talking, reading, writing and thinking about CJ/BA, it's hardly surprising we are dreaming about him. Nobody seems to have had a rampant sex dream yet though unless we're keeping that secret....???

cjwoofwoof · 30/01/2015 08:40

No snow and no dreams here, humph! Does daydreaming count coz there's plenty of that?

Ilovelblue · 30/01/2015 08:40

PS Chris Evans has just been playing 'Good Golly Miss Molly' but it's not the same without CJ shouting 'Have some human decency and put some bloody effort in'.

Richtea19 · 30/01/2015 08:41

jen, ice, orphan how lucky were you!!!!! I had a dreadful nights sleep and was too awake to even dream, and of course ending up falling asleep and the waking late (no DH at home to wake us).

Richtea19 · 30/01/2015 08:45

orphan any cuddly toys, or food processors on the conveyer belt?

ilove normally if I have been thinking about a particular person or have spoken to them on the phone, I can sometimes have a dream with them in. God knows why I haven't managed a CJ dream. Maybe I need to sit down and watch Whatta Man!

No snow here, but very cold.

orphan · 30/01/2015 09:13

richtea no cuddly toy but lots of crockery. My gaze was trained on his chest which now in the cold light of day was rather unappealingly hairy...

Richtea19 · 30/01/2015 09:18

If there had been a hair trimmer on the conveyer belt you could have done him there and then!

Mark Strong is on the Chris Evans Breakfast show, I LoVe his voice (actually all of him) very sexy :)

pixieg1rl · 30/01/2015 09:19

One woman's unappealingly hairy is another's ideal. I believe your dream was a message to say I'm first in the iceberg queue, and as I'm on the arctic shelf side of things, like Scott himself, I may be some time. Especially if I have to shave his chest to make him appealing to the rest of you.

Nickel45 · 30/01/2015 10:03

Oh man, think I need a good kick up the backside! I've just been at a school coffee morning, with some other mums and a dad, and have managed to not contribute to the conversation at all!! I couldn't think of anything sensible to say whatsoever ... so thankfully (and unusually!) managed to keep my mouth shut!! At one point they were discussing pointless inventions, and all I could think about was the CJ hands lingerie and cleaning products!!! And every other subject i was just as bad .... What is wrong with me?! So, now going to go and do something menial and boring, and try and get my thoughts back on track! (yeah right, this way of thinking is so much more fun!)
