Back in my swivel chair this morning but feel like I've peaked with this piece of furniture. Ready to move on to design/adapt another piece from functional to CJ usable.

Wow pixie you should stay up late drinking wine writing ff more often! Great chapter. You MN ladies (& SPO of course) really are the nuts at this ff lark. I take my fur lined, fleur-de-lys patterned curtain material jauntily floppy hat off to you!

orphan I totally agree, if they hadn't already of met, that could totally been turned into jolly good tv. Well done jen.

Everyone must be very busy today :) I've just bought five kids home from school (including my 2) and they are all quiet and playing nicely. Think i must have picked up the wrong kids?!!! I was all ready to use my stern captain voice as well!!! I've put the kettle on . . . Do you think the peace will last?!

Hee hee, well we all lasted a good four hours without posting!!!

There was a real flurry of activity yesterday and so it seems even quieter now by comparison. Seems we are all spurred on to write when thinking of swivel chairs, champagne rooms (must be thick but didn't get why it was called that) and Persian rugs. Glad there were no explicit pictures today though - I nearly had a heart attack yesterday afternoon in case somebody had seen one of them.

pixie am really loving your story. I just feel I am there with them. Very much looking forward to seeing where you are taking it.

No to rugby players for me. Thick necks and thighs aren't my bag. I get much more excited at the Tour de France.

Back home, after the most brilliant day. Missed you lot of course though, and felt really strange not checking in. Guess that will happen on our summer hols :(
However lovely day out with friend. We drunk champagne and toasted our beautiful mums. We went to Bond Street, and had a visit to Chanel..... She bought a bag and a purse and bought me a pair of sunglasses. Totally shocked, such a lovely thing to do. Plenty of champagne but now back home to manage kids as DH is in Scotland.

I once bumped into John Inverdale the commentator at a bistro in Clifton, Bristol but that's as far as my knowledge of rugby goes. For an older chap I'd always thought he was quite nice looking but he had a horrid orange tan. Quite a nice voice though.

My hands are a disgrace at the moment as I spend too much time in the garden. Even with wearing gloves, they look a mess. Remembered last night that I have a hand wax bath so decided to soak my hands in the warm wax. It's quite old. Bought it years ago before Woolworths folded! How glamorous am I going to look with my hands dipped in wax then wrapped up in plastic bags for 20 mins! I hope it works!
