icemistOBE · 05/02/2015 18:45

Just realised hasn't been any ff updates in 19 hrs!

C'mon ladies!!

icemist my anticipated update has been somewhat delayed by today's proceedings - work breaks spent sharing photos of furniture positions rather than writing. Will get on the swivel chair and pray for inspiration once the kids are in bed...

icemistOBE · 05/02/2015 18:57

I'll forgive you for that- hopefully swivel chairs will make an appearance at some point Grin

whajeb fear not, there are beginner level positions which can be adopted for those who don't yet feel equipped for immediate entry qualification to intermediate or advanced. I will find an example for you when I have finished bathing my children and can locate the manual

Nickel45 · 05/02/2015 19:12

whajeb I too would be defeated in terms of the athletic prowess needed (ooh, that sounded good, hope it means what I think it means!), however, in the little alternative bubble that I am currently living in I am an athletic, thin, gorgeous blond and would have no problem at all!!

Concentrating at work was a challenge today, on my swivel chair ... I don't think I will ever be able to sit at my desk and be a sensible and professional grown up ever again!

Onlygirljen · 05/02/2015 19:21

nickel if you're having problems with desks, then I probably shouldn't post the executive desk 'beginner level' position that I was about to refer to...Blush

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 19:21

onlygirljen I love the way these chair positions keep popping up. I have just bought YHMAHELLO, recommended by orphan, but i now want your book of many chair positions, and pixies activity fun soldier book.

Just returned from parent evening DS (little one, no where near as bad as big one!). It's so lovely to hear that your son is doing well and a happ, polite child..... However he talks too much....ummmmm I wonder where he gets that from???? Anyway I'm on the G&T in way of a celebration, as not all bad news!

Also excited about tomorrow, I have a day in London with a girlfriend. It's a champagne and shopping day. Very sadly (might of already told you, can't remember) she lost both her parents within 2 months just before Christmas. So we are going out tomorrow and raising our glasses to her lovely parents and my mum (would of been her birthday tomorrow).

WHAJEB1 · 05/02/2015 19:22

Thank you jen I appreciate that. Cannot wait to see the confused expression on my DP's face when I at some point in the near future drunkenly berate him for it being his fault that I am at beginner and not advanced level!!! Grin. nickel or anyone that is/could be/just want to be slightly concerned re their athletic prowess maybe we should start checking out some YouTube videos to get us up to standard!! Not in a competitive way obviously just so we don't let the MN side down Grin

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 19:30

onlygirljen I'm intrigued by desk position? Surely not as many as chair positions. Also must state that since I've had my three weeks of personal training at the gym, I feel very confident with my althletic prowess , and will volunteer for any positions at any difficulty level ;)

Onlygirljen · 05/02/2015 19:35

Executive desk is a beginner position, but a classic nevertheless, so may work for you whajeb.
However, I've also attached the butterfly stool, which requires 'pro' level abilities (I fear it may only be cjwoof who qualifies for pro level). Other highlights include the hammock, the chaise longue and the swinging chair....

Should I be bringing copies to the AGM?

Ooh richtea you may well qualify for pro level in that case? Be careful though we wouldn't want you to aim too high and crash onto anybody's well oiled equipment and burn.

WHAJEB1 · 05/02/2015 19:44

Thank you jen I think that is what makes this group stand out - the willingness to go above and beyond for other who are less fortunate!!

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 19:49

onlygirl definitely don't want to crash and burn, however if any injures are incurred, should we have a temporary medical centre for massage etc... Thinking maybe some of the wrestling contenders could help out?

orphan · 05/02/2015 20:06

I am hoping that the figure pictured with the incredibly pert icebergs is not an example of the iceberg requirement to take part in proceedings...Confused

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 20:11

Pert icebergs? That must be me or Richtea then.....

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 20:11

God I didn't notice the icebergs, mine might be tips of icebergs, but are "down south" like the pole!

ilove when you go to Bailbrook do you think it might be worth checking out the quality of the swivel chairs for AGM?

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 20:14

OMG, will have to check out the swivel chairs on my own. There is no way on this earth I could explain that one to my friend! I'm still not sure whether I can launch into a Spanish Inquisition with the reception staff re BA etc and the filming of the restaurant scene if she's around so I cannot do a chair assessment when she's there. She can be a bit on the prudish side at times.....

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 20:19

ilove of course you can! Since joint this thread we have all become more assertive! Should we provide you with a questionaire for the reception staff?

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 20:32

I'm not exactly unassertive to be honest Richtea but she really can be rather prudish, so although I HAVE NO PROBLEM AT ALL taking to the staff, I am just going to have to play it by ear whether she is around or not when I ask them. She is a totally telly addict though and last year we visited two restaurants which had featured on television and also Downton Abbey (aka Highclere) so I am hoping this swings things in my favour.

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 20:33

I'm guessing from Jen s manual that probably any item of office furniture is suitable for an oiling? Think I'd probably draw the line at the upright fan - good vibration but liable to dice and shred the derrière

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 20:33

But thinking about it, some written questions to ask might not be a bad idea, just as an aide memoire for me.

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 20:38

cjwoof shall we even go there with the photocopier, or is that a bit "been there, done it"

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 20:39

Yes, it's very passe, sorry.

PaintedCherry has just updated.

Ilovelblue · 05/02/2015 21:51

An early night required here - have been really tired all week. Just finished ironing and making the fish pie for tomorrow's tea. How come I never seem to be able to make a successful cheese sauce and it ends up lumpy? I gave up tonight and just did a white sauce instead.

Thought I'd watch the duet scene before heading for bed and I said out loud "God you're gorgeous" meaning CJ of course and the cat thought I meant him and jumped up on my knee to be stroked.

Can I ask onlygirl that if you are going to post any explicit drawings tomorrow that you preface them with "SPOILER ALERT" or something so that I do not get myself sacked in work!!
