Just text my sis 'well, did it work?' And had a giggle to myself Smile

Yes please cherin Valentine Stag would be perfect.

I just want to clarify, although I'm not keen on KA BA, I wouldn't say no!! But cherin don't draw a Stag with a fur cloak!!!

nickel cheer up chicken, picture CJ sitting on your lap at work..... Do you have a swivel chair!!

Nickel45 · 05/02/2015 11:33

Oh richtea that worked!!!! I do have a swivel chair .... But now have no chance of actually dong any sensible work with that thought in my head!!! Thank you Grin

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 11:38

Ooh I'm on a swivel chair too, perhaps Jen can incorporate a swivel chair in her next QS extravaganza. Kitchen worktop/dining table/piano are so yesterday!

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 11:39

cherin how about a swiveling stag?!

icemistOBE · 05/02/2015 11:40

I too have a swivel chair at work... I can imagine me and CJ having a staff meeting Wink in one of the side offices....

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 11:49

Which brings me back to the on top or below dilemma icemist ...

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 11:50

Think I'll just settle for the swivel and see what develops Grin

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 11:51

I'm gonna have one on Monday!!!! I am wondering whether I just dive straight in with my CJ obsession on my first day at work, screen saver, pictures on the wall.... I'm on a 3 month probation, so perhaps I might leave it a while, in case I get carted off !

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 11:57

Think it would be best to be on top of him on the swivel chair, then his weight would anchor it down before you mounted and swivelled !

icemistOBE · 05/02/2015 12:06

richtea I just spit my drink out!

All this talk of mounting and swivelling....

OP posts:
cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:07

Agreed Richtea but aerodynamics and ergonomics of said chair could add to enjoyment and indeed satisfaction if he was on top, thus allowing full swivel whilst swirling around the whole office area on all four wheels, thus enabling continuance of phone answering, photocopying, filing, emails, putting kettle on etc and avoiding trouble from new boss

icemistOBE · 05/02/2015 12:07

I'd start low level richtea and build it up slowly. Can you imagine idmf someone you work with was obsessed a fan

Stirrups either side of swivel chair may also be jolly useful to avoid accidental spillage of occupants - think I may have invented a new concept of office swivel chair here, perhaps a blueprint is in order for trying out at the AGM?

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 12:13

cjwoof yes agree that would allow for keeping on top of the job at hand, so pleased I can multi task !

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:13

Plus knobs on rear of backrest for extra cohesion

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 12:16

I think a patent application should be made .

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:16

It's a shame the handle for raising/lowering the seat is underneath rather than next to the knobs at the back, otherwise it would be quite interesting to be able to swivel whilst raising and lowering concurrently.

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:18

I fear my work for the day is done - I'm just going to get my toolbox and strip this seating arrangement down into a more suitable CJ vehicle Grin

Onlygirljen · 05/02/2015 12:20

Reading this from the comfort of my swivel chair in the office - chances of getting work done while that thought is in my head = slim to none..

Rhubarb01 · 05/02/2015 12:23

This puts a whole new 'spin' on the expression 'swivel on it'! I also have to confess that I actually bought two new swivel chairs this week Spooky!

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:29

Now that's just greedy Rhubarb! I fear the dynamics of trying to accommodate yourselves aboard TWO swivel chairs would be too much of a strain on the coccyx, not to mention the danger of groin strain if one chair decides to spin off in the opposite direction during full swivel!!

Richtea19 · 05/02/2015 12:30

I'm quite excited about my new job a swivel chair and staff meetings.... I can only hope there will be a CJ lookalike , doubt it but a girl can dream!

cjwoofwoof · 05/02/2015 12:41

Richtea imagine if you were called into a staff meeting with the whole department and your CJ lookalike boss said nonchalantly "just bring in your swivel chairs to the small all-glass meeting room" ... Carnage!!

orphan · 05/02/2015 12:48

I don't know - i think I could manage two swiveling chairs. I'm picturing Rupert Friend on the other chair. He'd glide across to CJ and me, then I'd do a very impressive dismount/remount manoeuvre and land on Rupert's lap. Quick swivel and we'd be off again. Maybe, synchronised swiveling could be introduced to the wrestling night (and if it goes well, set our sights on the Olympics).
