It was the Spanish Ambassador who mentioned Marguerite to Rochefort when they were having a whispered conversation by a window in one of those glorious palace rooms. He said something like her being in place or something about she should know about it.

And you know when they burst into the safe house and started fighting bad guys? Aramis being extremely fighty. Oh yes

Maybe Rochefort will manage what the Cardinal did, before his sudden unexplained death, and evade any kind of justice. He seems slippery enough to get away with anything.
