I don't think they would have risked Aramis being killed off because if series 3 potential.

At the moment only Athos knows so shit will hit the fan and they will have to let Dog and Porthos in on it so they can collectively save Aramis, Queenie and the Dauphin.

Just been on to Twitter and seen the JessP comment. That has to be a go for S3 surely? She is a canny player I think and she has to know that was a bit indiscreet so maybe an announcement is due soon. Last year they announced S2 about 4 weeks in......

So, the DC both a friends round to play, DH is visiting an aunt who has just lost her DH, I'm babysitting at 5.30 so perfect time to RTFT.

I really liked it, it had lots of Porthos in being all brave and funny at the same time. I agree about lack of all four being together much although the slow-mo attack on the safe house was rather glorious.

Yes exactly my thoughts Comtess, re the number of rewatches and over analysing. Could have written that paragraph about trusting Adrian too.

I did put that and something about selective memories and rose tinted glasses in my earlier post but couldn't get out what I meant sufficiently to leave it on post so I deleted it.

But basically - it's no different than it ever really was - on the whole - expectations have just grown, as has fondness for it and we all started looking at our ugly baby through a mother's smitten eyes so to speak.

Not that there is anything ugly about it. Or ever was. Just....you know.....oh ffs!

I think it's different from S1. They said it is. People are taking different things from it. I am still really enjoying it, I just echo what one of those reviewers said that hopefully they will find a balance between the great high-impact long-running stories & the light touch of the last series.

Oh dear God I am stuffed! DS cooked lunch for us both with a recipe for 4 & we polished off the whole lot between us .

Agree that Milady was great last night chaise, but I think the sheepishness was entirely put on. Anyone else would've stayed hidden, Queenie is too dignified to have insisted whoever was there with Kingy should reveal themselves. Milady was shit-stirring I think. And that's why she's so great

Re: the 'is bitch nanny a spy' issue, I think the Ambassador says 'Madrid' rather than Marguerite, hard to hear with his accent, but that's what the subtitles said.

Agree you can't kill off Aramis, they'd lose at least a quarter of the audience for s3.

Now onto the reviews...

Basically Foxy we all just like talking. We are especially good at talking a load of shite. We excel at it. So it's just a case of, what shall we dissect and over analyse and chew to death today/this week.

Guaranteed we'll have the same conversation again, at some point in the near future. Same comments possibly made, but highly likely all positions will have been reversed, so whatever side of the fence you're on today, you'll be polar opposite of this time next week/month.

Anyone else picked up on the parallel relationships trying to be developed by Roquefort and Milady - each with one of the Royal couple?

I wouldn't be surprised if (and this is the reason for ground work now) the whole story arc is going to be about Louis and Anne being pulled apart by R & M and it causing all kinds of shit, bad decisions, heartbreak etc ultimately resulting in a great big kiss and makeup and save the whole of France/Royal family with the help of TM at the end.
