Major OTB pain so I went straight to bed after the episode last night and forgot to review don't worry I have actually caught up and RTFT for ONCE

Anyway... I didn't really like last nights episode at all too much King shenanigans for my liking, I've really gone off him this series and the musketeers were barely together last night!! I wish they had done the same as series 1 and dedicated an episode each to 1 musketeer, because right now Rochefort, King and Queen have much more screen time than our boys!!! ps I am not that gorgeousaramis person although I know I sound as moany as her!!

Milady is looking AMAZING this series though and Queenie's hair is also looking so intricate I love it! Dog also looked FAF as always, for the 5, barely 10 minutes he was on screen!!

Next episode looks good though!

I'm not really enjoying series 2.

Where's tge actual Musketeers? Hardly seen Athos.
Where's the laughs? Where's the fun? The wit, the writing, the little touches, it was so clever, oh how we laughed ....

I really hope they're just laying the foundations for a massive assault on the Spanish and presumably TM will foil a plot and work their way back into the Kings good books! Obviously with Milady/Athos, Connie/D'Artagnan and Aramis/baby stuff weaved in.

Right - REWATCH SUNDAY!!!! Come on wenches. We cant give up on the show. There must be loads of good moments we missed while struggling to follow the plot and we can pick over these and analyse / gif them to death on sunday.

Yes there are some good bits..

Not giving up on the show, perish the thought. Even five minutes of Athos a week is enough to keep me going. But it's all very well saying they're getting us all in a lather saving it all up for later but along the way they're going to lose their already depleted audience. Nothing can be done now, but it's in the lap of the Gods I feel.

Of course there may be some people who watch it for the plot heaven forbid and they may be loving it.

Morning. Going to RTFT and catch up.

Re last night, it wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. There were a couple of dud episodes last series as well, you know, the ones we never re-watch? It was a filler, developing the story arc but yes too much Kingy, Queeny and the cheese.

Good bits: Kingy waking up for gunpowder display. "Dawn is so overrated". Guns at head in Trev's office. Tamara telling Porthos to die quietly. Shouty Aramis (best bit and I'm not even on his team). Milady was fab in all of it. Connie's hair was better. They actually had some extra musketeers this week, rather than just the 4 of them and C.Trev. New set locations for Spanish safe house. Athos being very FAF and doing the whole posh and commanding bit ("Drop it them ") etc

OMFGReally bits: Connie going all slo-mo and shouting on the way to be hanged. Roqueforts' bed scene. Them busting in the door at the Spanish safe house. Aramis failing to take the shot due to baby crying (he just wouldn't). Not enough humour from the actual Musketeers.

I do hope they give C.Trev some actual lines / something to do soon rather than just stand round and grimace. Either that or he gets to twat Roquefort one.

Right, now that's off my chest back to la perving.

Again, I really liked last night. Didn't manage to rewatch as waited for DH and then at midnight my eyes wouldn't stay open.

About to eat breakfast and rewatch.

I didn't mention before but Fancy's picture reminded me - Porthos was really rather good I thought. Particularly being in pain.

Was quite refreshing that they had a female that wasn't a love interest in anyway - like fucking Lucie snogging Dog for no immediately apparent reason.

And Bea I have to ask, what shit book is it that you speak of?

I like how Norah let Aramis use her upstairs to shoot from. Very public spirited. Shame she was busy, she'd have taken the shot.

It was The Secret Mandarin Anne. I really enjoyed the first 3rd of the book, was setting it up really well and the main character was good. Then it all went a bit trite and "oh FFS".

Marguerite is a whore traitor. Someone did mention the Spanish ambassador mentioning her last night. But this basically means I feel vindicated in my hatred.

I am starting to get REALLY bothered about S3. Fuckityfuckfuckfuck. Those ratings :-( The trouble is, even if they're saving it & saving it & the episodes are going to get better & better - once the audience has started to slide, how do you get them back in again to see those better episodes? Think how they started with 9m last series, it just slid down from there didn't it & ended up at about 5? Once they're gone, they're gone.

I am right bloody pissed off. We are probably their most die-hard they-can-do-no-wrong fans & even we are all moaning have mixed reactions. Twitter is also VERY mixed, & that's all visible to BBC researchers.

Am def up for Sun re-watch. I still enjoyed it, it's just well...not series 1. I think Madame is right, more good bits may be there which will emerge with commentary. Pretty much all of us are saying the same thing though & it's really gutting.

Off to look for reviews.

The only problem is that Rochefort is the Spanish spy thing. Surely he is going to get caught this series? At least the Cardinal's actions were mainly for his country.

Well I loved it!

Though I did think the Aramis window scene hesitation effect was a bit on the naff side.

Of course more of the actual TM will always be welcome, but it would probably cause just as many questions to be asked/complaints of it was all TM and nothing else. Not everyone is in it for the leather, beardy, sexy sex gods.

I think Ryan has done a fab job as Kingy, though I do think they have changed the show a little too much, too suddenly.
Last series he was like a little boy. Rude, but dopey. Now he's got a much harder air about him. It's like he's aged and changed over night. Not to mention ADULTERER!!

I don't know, but what often makes others complain and criticise it, are in summary, I think, the very things that make me like it so much?? Can't put my finger on it but it has it's own appeal - and that's what sets it apart. And just as with last series. I'm in! No complaints.

Unless they cancel series 3 in which case, things is gonna messy [psycho face]
