can't bloody wait!

OP posts:
Eastwickwitch · 22/01/2015 17:13

If she's a close friend, surely they'd know she's a mistress to a man who isn't married?
I've warmed to Tanya.

Fabulassie · 22/01/2015 23:15

I do like Tanya! I think she was a bit rude about the steak but I'm pretty sure that was set up.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/01/2015 07:50

If their all so well off surely they eat out & realise fillet steak is served like that?.

I cringed when Dawns came back all brown. That poor chef.

Magali & the woman with the red hair are the only ones with any manners.

TeaAddict235 · 23/01/2015 21:31

ampika! oh please. my least fav participant of the entire RH franchise so far (and those Miami ladies were pretty kooky Grin )

BringMeTea · 24/01/2015 01:25

Love it. That is all.

TeaAddict235 · 29/01/2015 16:46

what is Leanne's issue with Magali? Dawn can obviously fight her own battles.

Fluffycloudland77 · 29/01/2015 16:58

Would you really notice Leanne if she wasn't scrapping with Magail though?.

So far Lauren & Magali are coming out well. Although I've not watched this weeks yet.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 09/02/2015 01:14

What's happening this week? Is it Lauren's turn to do something?

I've lost track!

TeaAddict235 · 10/02/2015 17:01

Tanya has organised a spa weekend.

is Ampika (my fav,Grin ) a Russian name? It's like Amibka, an Indian name.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 10/02/2015 17:15

I presumed they'd have a week each (Dawn's ball, Tanya's book launch etc) but maybe not.

How many episodes are there?

tanyfelin · 10/02/2015 21:13

Magali: ''shayshire'' {grin}. Love her and I like Ambika's tales. Love Lauren too.

Meltingbutter · 11/02/2015 21:32

Thought Magali didn't come across too well, she was overly aggressive with Leanne.
They're all so mean to each other apart from Tanya the life coach who can't resist meddling.

TeaAddict235 · 11/02/2015 22:13

I didn't think that Leanne was at all fair to Magali in the toilets, screaming and wailing at her. I think that Magali felt threatened and turned up to the restaurant for a war. It's a bit childish act really, somewhat akin to year 1 at school: BFF and frenemies.

BeaBoo · 11/02/2015 22:20

I love this. Ultimate trash telly. I really like Tanya and the woman with the four girls (I'm rubbish at remembering names). Ampika is funny too. Hate the red headed woman with the faux posh accent!

Also Magali has such a normal house compared to everyone else Grin

TheGirlInTheGlass · 11/02/2015 22:22

So many Southern friends have been on to ask if that's what it's really like here, it's ridiculous.
I have a close group of friends who can get together most days to chat, shop, lunch, celebrate, enjoy social events, exercise - and we manage it without arguments, without taking things personally, and without ordering fizz for show.... Makes me want to move!

BringMeTea · 12/02/2015 08:19

Can I ask a dumb question? If you have a hysterectomy how can saving your eggs result in a possible future pregnancy? Am I missing something? Confused

Meltingbutter · 12/02/2015 08:23

Presume she means using a surrogate bring.

BringMeTea · 12/02/2015 08:42

Oh did she? Well that is clearly the only way they could come in handy. Not actually at the end of the episode yet. Grin

Holliegolightlyscat · 12/02/2015 16:20

I'm addicted - I've watched every episode of New York. Bev hills and Orange County so when I heard about this I was really excited as I live in the fêted 'golden triangle'. I thought life would be just like this show when we moved here 11 years ago - sadly it's a lot more boring and normal, or maybe I'm not moving in the right circles!
Here are my main thoughts so far, just cos I'm sad and would quite like to be in it myself (although watching me shopping in sainsburys, unblocking the loo cos my 3 yr olds shoved a whole loo roll down it again and eating a cheese sarnie whilst watching 'murder she wrote' prob wouldn't have the same appeal to viewers...)
Dawn: wants to be queen bee - thinks she has more merit than the others cos she's a 'businesswoman'
Leanne - dull as ditchwater - and dawns arse-licker
Tanya - quite likeable and funny but wtf is up with that lip/teeth area? She can't even speak properly they're so huge
Ampika - Bolshey and tarty but quite likeable, and I find her dress/make-up style quite bizarre for a 34 year old (ie. not old) - she dresses like Madge out of 'Benidorm'. And didn't contrasting lip liner die a death about 15 years ago?
Lauren: thick as pig shit but strangely likeable
Magali: the only one with any real class or balls IMO - shes stuck to her guns so far and won't be bullied into playing to the popular girls tune. And she gets the best line of the whole series so far:
" You better don't crosh me - don't mesh with Magali"
Classic!

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 12/02/2015 16:25

Magali - why does she bother? She clearly doesn't like them any more than they like her, so why not spend more time with DH, who seems really nice, and wait for some nicer friends to come along?

Dawn - yes, needs to be queen bee, but is somewhat less false than many of them. Godawful taste in everything, but that applies to all of them.

Leanne - just meh.

Tanya masquerades as the funny nice one who doesn't like anyone to fight, but is actually, I think, a big shit-stirrer. She is just poking at the Leanne/Magali thing and making it worse, and not in any way either fit to, or seemingly willing to, actually smooth things over. That book!

Lauren - urg. Stop with the baby talk and the prancing.

Ampika is more interesting than any of them, though I suspect quite an unpleasant individual and rather deluded about the extent to which she is still the love of her ex's life.

Holliegolightlyscat · 12/02/2015 17:19

Yes, nit, that poor ex-husband - what a wet lettuce she's made him out to be! What woman is gonna want the poor guy now they'll all know she's lurking in the background waiting to claw him back or manipulate him (I've had your child! I feed you and nurture you, blah blah - and I only have to shake my fanny in your direction and you'll come running back cos I'm so irresistible..." Bleurgh!) The mans had a lucky escape if you ask me - tho he must be paying a heap in maintenance for her to be living that lifestyle, running your own tiny beauty salon does not afford luxuries like that I'm sure. Or maybe it's her new coffin -dodger who's paying for it, ha.

TeaAddict235 · 12/02/2015 17:24

hollie! !! is that what Magali says? "when you cross me, you'd better not CRUSH me"? cos I've even cleaned my ears out to decipher what she's saying. Shock

That said, I love the dutch accent & Magali in general
