It's not just you that isn't bothered Jen. I'm very firmly in the CJ camp. I might be a deluded 40 year old lady but at least I have the grace to be deluded about a fictional character.

Oneforthegirls · 13/01/2015 17:41

Agree ladies, who cares, CJ can sit in my paddling pool anytime

smallandtriangular · 13/01/2015 17:53

On a ff note, one of them has a number of 'low gowns' instead of 'low groans'.... the mind boggles.... On the CJ/BA poll CJ all the way.... except if BA decided to play Captain Wentworth..... No, I like Persuasion as it is I haven't tried to recreate it.....

Onlygirljen · 13/01/2015 18:06

Damn smallandtriangular, thought we were building up to a confession there!

Nickel45 · 13/01/2015 18:10

Really enjoying Persuading Charles, whichever one of you wrote it ... Come on, 'fess up, you must want to, else you wouldn't have given us clues!!! Like jpcraftys too ... Blush.

We are really spoilt for ff's, so lucky ... But I have I agree that the ones with bad spelling and grammar are much harder to read (although I can't talk .... I'm just as bad on here!).

icemistOBE · 13/01/2015 18:12

I think it's someone who us in the FB Anon group but may keep an eye over here. Might be wrong though

icemistOBE · 13/01/2015 18:13

Jpcrafty posts in Twitter (uses same name) don't think she posts in here

Just read the latest two chapters of Persuading Charles and laughed out loud. The author is definitely on here or at least lurking on here, I am sure of it. There was a reference to different tape measures. Come on, who are you!! There's no need to be shy - we've had a good few confessions this last fortnight or so! I tend to forget that this is open to everyone - we just seem to be like a group of friends these days.

Won't be able to check in again tonight, or at least not until much later. Going to see a jeweller about having some of my Mum's jewellery remodelled. Not sure if it will be fun, upsetting or just a sort of therapy. We'll see.

orphan · 13/01/2015 18:30

Off out now. Am intrigued by this Austen style ff. I haven't read it yet; will save for bedtime. Don't do any big reveals (eg spo is the secret Austen writer) until I get home!!

moojangles · 13/01/2015 18:31

Thank you crazy ladies for cheering me up & that includes the ff writers. Just found out that my mum has been broken into and I am very angry and feeling quite useless as I don't live within a sensible distance but my sis does. She's okay but I'm just feeling rubbish and a tad isolated today.

Think some wine may be in order and some ff and CJ

Ilovelblue · 13/01/2015 18:32

Lots of hugs moo and to your Mum. Was much stolen?

Nickel45 · 13/01/2015 18:40

They must keep an eye on here, icemist, hmm ... Has anyone mentioned Austin before ... If only I had a good memory?! Oh well, will just have to wait out .... (Could you let us know tonight though, when orphans back, of course as I have work tomorrow and won't be able to check in much!! Unless, of course, the FB lot have also been discussing various types of tape measure too. Curiouser and curiouser!

mooj, hope your mum is ok, it's horrible being so far away when you just want to be there :( hugs to you.

Love the cushions richtea, they are really good ... Hope your boys appreciate them.

moojangles · 13/01/2015 18:49

Mum says she's okay, she slept through it which is a blessing as she is quite a feisty soul. I think I'm more upset than she is. Nothing that a bit of CJ can't cure, but which bit?!?

Richtea19 · 13/01/2015 18:54

I've just read all of Pursuading Charles, it's really good. So much excellent FF we are really spoilt.

mooj horrible about your mums burglary :( and difficult when you don't live near.

icemist you could be right about possibly a FB user that is the author of PCharles as I am sure we would have had the confession by now!

Mums taxi now until 8.30 - oh joy!

icemistOBE · 13/01/2015 18:55

I have read somewhere an OG fan saying she loves Austen too and I cannot remember where I read it

Onlygirljen · 13/01/2015 18:55

mooj what a shame, but glad she slept through it. We were broken into in the night a couple of years ago when I was the only person awake thanks to a marathon breastfeeding session with newborn DS. It really shook me up, and my one wish was that I had slept through the whole thing. Really hope your mum is ok.

smallandtriangular · 13/01/2015 19:18

It was Lolagirl who said she was more of a Jane Austen lingering looks and deep sighs kinda girl. To clarify I quite like the FF too

-mooj- sorry about your mum's break in, curative dose of CJ is always the best way forward in times of trouble but so many to pick from

On a slight aside is Tom Ward involved anywhere in the wrestling just saw him doing the cbeebies bedtime story he was quite lovely

Rhubarb01 · 13/01/2015 20:35

small nice suggestion. Tom Ward has previous military credentials too. He played the part of an army officer who was a bit of a bounder in Vanity Fair - who goes by the name of George Osborne! Also in Warriors - remember with Ioan Gruffud - in uniform in Kosovo, I think. That was a good drama. Also in his favour is the fact that he is a more mature gentleman - over 40 - so entirely justified to invite. What about Ioan too (he's over 40 now if you can believe it and also has military form - Hornblower as well as Warriors!)

orphan · 13/01/2015 20:44

OK am back now, so ff writer can reveal themselves!!Grin

mooj so sorry about your mum's break in. Fortunately (touch wood) I've only experienced it once, as a student and I was petrified as I thought the burglar was still in the house.

cherin · 13/01/2015 20:47

Evening ladies, will go and check ff ASAP. I seem to remember even Involved first chapter had a reference to being the first attempt of a Gaskell and Austen expert??

Ot, but I need to share, my meeting went v well and I got the job I wanted v badly (a job for my company, a project I mean). Am over the moon.
And would suggest anyone to go on the shard if possible...combine it with a borough market lunch, a proper ice cream at the Gelateria 3bis, maybe a tour of the golden hinde if young kids are involved...that more or less sums up my idea of a perfect spring Sunday :-)

orphan · 13/01/2015 20:48

Yes, Tom Ward is good and he was in Death Comes to Pemberley. According to wikipedia, he fences and rides, but no mention of wrestling.

orphan · 13/01/2015 20:52

cherin glad you secured the project. Can I add a hot chocolate in Rabot 1745, a cafe next to Borough market specialising in chocolate, to your perfect Sunday.

smallandtriangular · 13/01/2015 21:07

....and I just liked the way he was reading the bedtime story....what a talented chap.

Notes abt Shard etc made for Feb half term...thank you

Richtea19 · 13/01/2015 21:20

Yes Tom Ward is lovely, he used to be Silent Witness some while ago.

The Shard would be a good Feb half term trip, but maybe a bit pricey. We went to a market on the South Bank, not sure if that is Borough Market, but there were loads of different stalls selling all sort of foods, that was when I took the kids to the Tate Modern. The boys were more interested in lunch!

Oneforthegirls · 13/01/2015 21:29

Evening. Just had a minor Julius seizure. DD just shouted "mum, mum, it's captain James, he's in The 100." Ran to kitchen and CJ was no where to be seen. I asked why she thought it was him. She said it was his facial expressions and hair. What do you know about his facial expressions I asked. She went bright red then said maybe your obsession, watching that bloody DVD and You tube is rubbing off on me.
Oh dear, is this a case of child cruelty,,subliminal brainwashing like the scientologists or could CJ's perfection be rubbing off on a young teen. Surely not!
