Ok, STOP! Those are enough to give me nightmares. What on earth is the middle pic of nickel's and I actually have no words for paintedcherry's. I'm beginning to wonder if there's the BA of OG, and then his decidedly camp twin (who got the shit end of the stick) who turns up in all these other photos.

Morning! You lot have been busy - I missed a day and you've nearly finished the thread!

Catching up on all the ff updates and loving them all. We are covered in a huge amount of snow today, so beyond snowmen in the garden, don't think I'll be up to much.

paintedcherry I think those dancing pics may actually have traumatised me! Need to go watch an episode to get CJ firmly back in my mind..

Oneforthegirls · 17/01/2015 07:58

Waking up to the dancing girls this morning was a bit of a shock. It think it just shows what an extraordinary job the BBC hair, wardrobe and makeup did with dear Ben.

But, I think he was equally extraordinary in how he pulled off the role. He injected so much masculinity into it that you would never believe from all of the photos in last few days.

cherin · 17/01/2015 08:47

Hihihi these last pictures are the stuff of nightmares, it goes to show how careful someone should be leaving pictures around ;-) Internet can ruin your macho reputation in a matter of minutes!
Jokes aside, the dance/coreography rehearsal style is actually quite contemporary, if I have to judge from my daily bumping into dancers around sadlers well theatre. Girls have an almost mandatory bright lipstick, very 40's style, lots of bleached hair, with black leggings, fake fur coat, ugg boots or chunky gym shoes, and massive handbag on the elbow...the move in tight pack. The male of the species often has trousers with rolled up hem, veeeery tight fitting, black, and often a baseball cap. But not quite hip hop. More Fame in a more modern declination

Richtea19 · 17/01/2015 09:05

Strangely the dance pictures don't put me off. It was obviously for a roll, maybe the American Physco? however just for the balance the combat look is my preference!

Bright sunny but frosty crisp morning here in Kent. onlygirl we haven't had any snow yet, I would quite like it, but just for a day :)

Off to a cross country race with DS this afternoon and MIL coming along to keep me company (DH found another excuse not to attend, grrrrrrr). MIL to stay the night ahead of 13 other side of family lot coming for lunch tomorrow...... Christ knows how I am going to get everyone sat down. It will be two sittings or the garden table will come in as well!

cherin · 17/01/2015 09:17

Well if the MIL survives to waiting on the edge of a frosty park, maybe you can just feed her outside, in the garden! I was considering going for a run, but it's way too frosty and slippery. Might resort to cleaning house, sigh!

orphan · 17/01/2015 09:41

Oh dear, you lot put me to shame. I hardly dare say that I'm still sitting in bed with my cup of tea, (with dp) reading the papers (well, dp is) and thinking deep thoughts such as ,' how do you keep the shower screen smudge free?' That's the benefit of older children; they're loathe to get up early and are pretty self sufficient anyway. Seriously though, how do you keep your shower screen clean??!

I think Captain Stern Face pic from last night has to be one of my faves.

Nickel45 · 17/01/2015 09:42

Nice pictures icemist, that's what I need in the morning :)

Just started snowing heavily here, football cancelled, now need to find something to do with the kids to stop them going stir crazy ....! Think we will be going out whatever the weather!

Have a good day all, stay focussed, stay warm, stay safe!

Nickel45 · 17/01/2015 09:45

(Loving my new text alert elsie!)

PS. At least paintedcherrys pic shows nice calf muscles ... no spindly legs there :)

cherin · 17/01/2015 09:58

Was thinking the same. And nice bum, really!

Shower screen infallible recipe: fill up an old spray bottle with a bit if dishwasher liquid, a glug of vinegar and water. Whenever you need, you shake the bottle, spray, and then pass over with squeegee. It's what window cleaners do (less the vinegar, if profiles are aluminium). It should be around 5% solution, but I would not be fussy with proportions of fairy liquid. Better think about something else in life ;-)

cherin · 17/01/2015 10:03

Ps: orphan, no shame. You should see how green for envy I am. My time will come too...it'll just take another 15 years!!! :-(((

orphan · 17/01/2015 10:13

Thanks cherin, I know what I'll be doing today. Smile

cherin · 17/01/2015 10:16

Ahem I was thinking (whilst carrying out my own ablutions and shower spraying), that another option would be to persuade CJ to join you in a very steamy shower, then at the right minute you plonk a nice furry cape, squidge some fairy liquid (aroma of choice) on its back, then push him all up and down onto the glass...afterwards, a quick lick with the squeegee and even the toughest spots and soap crusts should be perfectly cleaned. And everybody happy.
:-)

orphan · 17/01/2015 10:18

I'm actually quite excited about Wolf Hall starting this week. It'll be good to see The Sausage clothed, fit, untortured and in luxurious surroundings. Will perhaps help dispel the horrible uncooked images still in my head from Homeland.

orphan · 17/01/2015 10:20

Omg, cherin I'm now hyperventilating. Is it possible to keel over purely from lustful thoughts??Blush

cherin · 17/01/2015 10:23

Dunno.
Note how I have carefully avoided adding vinegar to the mixture, as I think:
-vinegar and emu/badger fur don't go well together
-I actually hate the smell of vinegar
-after the uncooked sausage association, the last thing I want us associate CJ with a pack of walker crisps...
:-))

Onlygirljen · 17/01/2015 10:28

I could be convinced to take up more housework if that particular cleaning method was on offer..

Nickel45 · 17/01/2015 10:42

Well that would certainly make housework a tad more inviting!!!

Onlygirljen · 17/01/2015 10:45

Doesn't need to necessarily be restricted to showers either, I'd happily try him up against various household surfaces. Purely for research purposes of course.
