Playing catchup here as I'm still answering questions from last night yes, this is yet another attempt to delay doing my tax return, don't make me feel worse about it, I really must close the MN tab on my computer!
But in reply to outin's question about is it CJ or BA...my response is 55/45 CJ/BA. But one of the main things for me that drew me into the show as a whole was CJ & MD's relationship. I've always be a sucker for the 'will they won't they', 'sexual tension' storylines and I think BA & LT did an amazing job acting it out.
For me it was convincing. Looks-wise they seem well matched and they seem quite natural together - that's why the restaurant scene is so good; it just feels like you are watching a couple who are attracted to each other meeting up. It's got that awkwardness at the start as they try and make conversation, the flirtation and the looks they give each other convey so much more than is said. All these elements just make it so believable, hence why it feels so real. There's no doubting the chemistry. Great casting!
I think it was TG's Q&A on Facebook where he said he'd been persuaded by a couple of the female crew members (maybe one was the producer I can't recall off the top of my head) that women would take quite nicely to BA... and it appears they have.
But for me at least, it's partly down to the excellent playing out of their relationship as it develops. I think people have invested in the relationship to such a degree they can't just leave it where OG ended. Hence the FF to fill in the missing gaps in time not shown on screen (between ep3&4), the internal monologues and all the various FFs describing what happens next (or in an alternative world)....people feel they really know these characters and just don't want to let them go.
Anyway musing over
