I have to say both for me. BA ticks ALL the right boxes, but wrapped up in the character of CJ, it's enough to push any red blooded female over the edge.

oneforthe no expulsion! BA is CJ afterall, he would have to wear combats, lumberjack shirts and a navy jacket with jeans! Oh and a limp!

A Rhubarb ff as well? Blimey, they all come at once don't they? It's put pay to mine being finished tonight.

Nickel Specifically why a bit of BA? Def doesn't do it for me in period dramas even Reign but can obviously look past clothes if naked! Can also look past uniform as long as a bit of stubble, lots of lip biting and can easily swap between stern and shouty, to seductive and intense. Until outin actually tells us what he is really like, we can only assume there must be a tiny bit of CJ in there somewhere. If not, the fantasy could be shattered forever and it would have to be CJ all the way.

outin I'd like to see BA in some other uniforms just to check whether it was the combats that were the deciding factor for me.

Richtea not all at once surely, he'd look like a tramp, oh yes, I could give him a bed for the night!

Also we need to know that he doesn't advocate the wearing of aran cardigans...

I had to go back to see the breast consultant this evening as I've had another infected cyst (sorry TMI!). He said that there was obviously something changing hormonally - I wonder what might be the cause?!?!

2ff read, and they are both excellent :-) I am leaving richtea for bedtime....am also reading a book that resonates a lot with your tweak of the story, it's about the "bomber girls", the female pilots used during ww2 to ferry all sorts of planes from factory to RAF bases, not allowed to engage in combat, often flying in horrible weather conditions on planes that were just produced or repaired and not always trained like their male counterparts...
(And here I go, diverging again....)

rhubarb there's good news and bad news: the good is, that chapter was sooo wonderful; the bad is that I'm really not happy that it was the penultimate chapter. I want far more!

frank sorry to hear you have another cyst, I hope it's sorted quickly (do they get sorted, or is that a daft thing to say! Sorry ... Hopefully you know what I mean x). Can't think what might be upsetting your hormones .... Hmm ..... .... Hope the dr didn't suggest abstaining from this thread!!!

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments and reviews. Not only was that the longest chapter but its probably been my favourite one to write. Glad you liked it. Now seriously, all of us would get pretty sick of it if it went on and on and on..... we all know those TV series that went on too long! The end is nigh and my family will probably be very glad about it as they've had very little attention for about a month now! Shocking!

Its taken me about an hour and half to catch up properly on here and I kept thinking I'd never get to the end because you kept adding comments. Slow down!

Cherin I read a biography a little while ago of Diana Barnato-Walker called "Spreading my Wings". She was an ATA pilot in WW2. Fascinating stuff. Ditto the fact that they did an incredible job.
