Notebooks at the ready Grin We should have enough information at the end of the first episode to start cooking up some slightly implausible theories.

OP posts:

Sue Ellie Grin

hollyisalovelyname · 19/01/2015 22:19

Where was the defence barrister going at 3.30 am ?

Bakeoffcakes · 19/01/2015 22:22

When we watched series 1, we had it on DVD. We thought it was so good we watched the WHOLE thing in one go, it was brilliant. In comparrison Series 2 is contrived shite!

cricketballs · 19/01/2015 22:22

holly to visit her son in prison

ItsAllKickingOffPru · 19/01/2015 22:22

She has a Secret, doesn't she. Heated phone convo last week.

No doubt it will be spun out into Series 3.

hollyisalovelyname · 19/01/2015 22:28

Thanks Cricket.
We're an hour behind

DonkeysYears · 19/01/2015 22:29

Right. Sorry to go on, but this thing with Clare and lee fleeing a house in a residential street and then immediately hailing down a taxi is really making me angry! It's a sleepy seaside town. There'd be one taxi rank in the town which you'd probably wait an hour at. What are the chances of one just happening to whizz by you as you flee a house in a quiet street?!
The problem is there's loads of this crap in this series. It's like, they liked the first one so much, they won't care what ridiculousness we put into this one.

eddiemairswife · 19/01/2015 22:34

Ellie can't be in court while the trial is taking place as she is a witness, so it seems that the parents of the murdered child won't be called as witnesses. Have I got that right?

eddiemairswife · 19/01/2015 22:35

Has charlotte Rampling got glaucoma?

Nerf · 19/01/2015 22:35

I think they get a chance to cross examine don't they?

Angelto5 · 19/01/2015 22:37

Tbf donkey I wouldn't believe anything Claire says. I think they just used lee's white van.
Is that house hers or DT?she kept referring to it as her place but isn't she supposed to be in hiding(obviously before lee found her)Confused

katese11 · 19/01/2015 22:38

The affair thing is a load of balls isn't it? He arrested her husband and she wanted to find out why. That seems like a pretty legitimate reason for visiting his room (presumably the poor abandoned kiddiwinks were asleep).

The prosecution is driving me mad.

katese11 · 19/01/2015 22:39

defence!

Angelto5 · 19/01/2015 22:41

They definitely didn't have an affair (wouldn't blame her if she did thoughWink)

C0rdelia · 19/01/2015 22:43

Ellie has now cocked up any future case against Claire by going out on the pull with her and bringing home random blokes from Weymouth!

katese11 · 19/01/2015 22:44

Angel I tried not to think too hard about spending two hours alone with David Tennant

candykane25 · 19/01/2015 22:47

DTs character would never have done illegal bugging, risking suspects lives, screwing up evidence.

Ellie would never allow her house to be used for this illegal police work, especially as trial is still ongoing.

Ellie would never give away her car especially when another woman is in labour.

The whole Affair thins with Ellie and DT - two hrs in a hotel room is so inconclusive it ridiculous.

Glaring plot holes left right and centre.

Angelto5 · 19/01/2015 22:50

I want expecting so much mid slinging -such underhand tacticsHmm

Also just heard Anne kirkbride aka Diedre (sp?) off coronation street has died
R.I.P Thanks

Not to mention the official complaint of assault and kidnap made against a police officer, that the local plod just happens to bring to a speedy and satisfactory (?!) close on a hilltop the same day?

Purlease!

PartTimePunk · 19/01/2015 23:22

I thought Ellie's son was called Fred. Why did she call him Bertie when giving evidence? Confused
All in all I'm finding poor Ellie constantly being shat upon from on high really very tedious. And Beth trudging into court a few hours after labour seems ridiculous.

seaoflove · 19/01/2015 23:34

I was wondering that! Did OC fuck up and no one notice? Guess it would be easy to mix up Bertie and Freddie.

CurlyRedHairOK · 19/01/2015 23:50

i think she said 'thirteen' and it sounded a bit like bertie ??
