Notebooks at the ready We should have enough information at the end of the first episode to start cooking up some slightly implausible theories.

Lots of things in the first series that, by the end of it, looked like red herrings but I'm wondering now if they might be significant. I agree - the problem is I can't remember what most of them which is what is so frustrating. I can't believe it's just meant to be a court procedural otherwise why would all the court bits be so unrealistic and unconvincing. I'm with Chaise in asking if we can be really sure that Joe really did it - I certainly didn't think he did it for most of the last series (though I can't really remember why) and now everyone seems to have returned to their mysterious ways I'm not sure what to think!

The pathologist def said that Danny was strangled by someone with big hands. Or I would have put money on it being Tom and Joe was covering for him.

We watched series 1 over the xmas hol so the details are fresh. Lots of bits to forget if you watchef the 1st series when it aired.

Could have been Nige, Foxy. He's hiding something, surely? He acts guilty as sin all the time.

And an interesting revelation in the last one SMALL SPOILER ALERT

that Danny's dad had hit him. I know it was supposedly only once, and might be nothing, but it might be part of a bigger picture.

why did the barrister question mum about husband hitting Danny? even if it was only the once, why? what does she hope to gain?

and where did the barrister get that information from?

I'm now wondering if Pauline quirkes character is going to come back as an eye witness?

Didn't she see someone in a boat acting suspicious on the night of the murder but thought it was her estranged son?

It might be just that she's trying to find anything that can undermine the parents' image as squeaky-clean perfect parents just grieving for their son. Chipping away at the jury and introducing any doubt she can about them.

Or it might be that it IS part of a bigger picture. I don't know where she got the info, but we've been led to believe that she's very good so perhaps she has her ways, like the Gestapo.

It was when he was being interviewed at the station. Nothing happened. Just raised eyebrows. But he said it was a couple of times whereas Beth said in court in was only once.

I'm confused. Series 2, episode 3 is 'no longer available to play' on the itv player. episodes 1 and 2 are still there. episode 3 only aired last night.

Can anybody think of any reason why they'd have taken it down already

Marking place as I've also just binge-watched Series 1 + Series 2 eps 1+2... Totally gripped!! Can't wait to see what the "new piece of evidence leading to a race against time" is... Maybe something on the video recordings from the house?
