The odd devices to moves the plot forward and all the interconnected characters make me think the writers are heavily influenced by Dickens. Which makes me suspect there will be some sort of massive coincidence involved in the denouement. Possibly Ollie being mistaken for James? But I may have moved well into overthinking here...
