Just watched The Fall. What on earth's happened to Merlin??! He's grown up somewhat! My daughter used to live that programme (Arthur was her favourite though) and we actually bumped into both of them whilst they were filming once.

Richtea19 · 11/12/2014 22:51

Merlin looks very grown up, I think he has hi-lights in his hair. Didn't think much of Jamie Dornan body when he took his shirt off. No comparison to CJ.

orphan · 11/12/2014 23:02

No, CJ's definitely ruined us for anyone else. Scientists should do an experiment on us, linking us up to heart rate monitors whilst paying us clips of supposedly attractive males. I bet my readings would be very stable until CJ appears, then they'd go mad!

cjwoofwoof · 11/12/2014 23:07

My readings would be off the scale, definitely a Julius Seizure if it was the stern face headset clip

stressybird · 11/12/2014 23:10

Hi everyone, remember me? It's been two weeks since my last confession....or perhaps that should be the 'start of decompression'?

Long story, but after a bit of a heart to heart with DH and the killer line "If you spent half as much time actually talking to me as you do on that bloody computer...."I decided I would go cold turkey.

It's been tough. No OG box set. No Spotify soundtrack. I had to cut all ties, have not been reading this thread ( I have sooo much to catch up on). I couldn't quite bring myself to remove pic of CJ from my locker though.

Anyway, the outcome is that;

  1. DH and I are talking again.
  2. I've managed to do some Christmas shopping AND write cards.
  3. I've lost 8 llbs in total since the beginning of this thread. Mostly due to the remarkable OG diet. That is, spend so much time on computer obsessing, that you forget to eat. Slightly concerned it would all go back on once I went cold turkey but actually now spending more time in the gym and less time thinking about it (and getting sidetracke.

Anyway, so glad to see you're still going strong. Will try and fit some quality time with you all over the next couple of days to catch up (without serious risk to my marriage/sanity).

cjwoofwoof · 11/12/2014 23:18

You're right orphan CJ has definitely ruined me. I've got The Fall recorded but can't be bothered to catchup yet as prefer re-running OG clips. I do miss Banshee and Ray Donovan (more uniforms and stern faces, not to mention some lush bare bots) but CJ has put them all in the shade. And now he's in leather and being bad I might gonna need a mop down with something damp.

Nickel45 · 11/12/2014 23:34

Hi stressy, good to hear things are going well (I don't think my DH has noticed I am constantly on here - he is usually watching football or some other sport!). The OG diet is good isn't it - we should market it, I am quite liking that my jeans are now a bit loser, without having to resort to anything as drastic as running (I don't do running!) ... although have been going out walking a bit more to get a bit of jitterbug out of my head! Keep popping in, when you can, and catch up with the weird and wonderful things we have been up to!

Nickel45 · 11/12/2014 23:36

Is the Fall worth watching? - I did like Arthur in Merlin (should I admit I used to record it each week!?!), but that Jamie one - not so interested in him. Is he the one who is going to be in 50 shades? Really? Not a patch on CJ?

orphan · 11/12/2014 23:48

The Fall is v good (dark and disturbing) but it's Gillian Anderson I'm in love with in it rather than Dornan. And yes, he's 50 Shades. Used to think I wouldn't like to see BA in that, but am revising my opinion cos Captain Stern Face is so much better than Jamie Dornan.

orphan · 12/12/2014 00:00

Hi stressybird! I suppose in the list of priorities, marriage has to come before this thread...Grin
Thinking of absentees, where has PassTheSherry gone? Maybe, BA read the b'day card, tracked her down and has whisked her off to Canada to play lumber jacks? Come back to us PST!

Waking up to legs akimbo, it will be good day!

Great to hear from you stressy and good to know that all is ok and lost weight before Christmas, OG diet hasn't done the same for me unfortunatley, more sitting down with cups of coffee and the necessary RichTea!

elsie3g · 12/12/2014 08:14

Morning all, a rare excursion last night to a friend's gig means I've got some serious catching up to do..a quick skim read suggests that life post CJ looks leather clad and promising!

cjwoofwoof · 12/12/2014 10:00

Ooh icemist some of my fave pics to get the day off and throbbing running. Went to bed last night picturing a leather clad bad-guy BA and decided I'm liking that idea very much indeed. Are we any closer to Ep 10 being on you tube coz I cdnt access the other sites properly and I'm gagging yearning desperate interested in watching his 2mins of loveliness.

icemist · 12/12/2014 10:06

Am taking youngest to his nursery to see Santa claus in a few mins, but will do it when I get back- should (fingers crossed) be ready for lunchtime Grin

Hello all - I've finally caught up on the thread, just not necessarily in the right order! Thank you for all your positive messages, lump is much smaller, and antibiotics don't shrink tumours, right? It is also exactly where I had a cyst 5 years ago so am feeling much more relaxed about it. Just hope the "calmness in my nut" is not misplaced. Roll on Monday!

SPO - you have surpassed yourself with the latest instalment. Absolutely brilliant! Hope all is well in RL and come back to us soon!

Icemist - brilliant work, love the Reign clip!

I am SO behind with real life, I must focus up and get on. Bye for now!

Nickel45 · 12/12/2014 10:46

icemist we will adore you for always!

For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to pop to John Lewis this morning. Oh my goodness!!! Seems like everyone else had the same idea!! So decamped to the coffee shop, obviously! But did see some stag shoe fresheners!!! Trying to work out if DH would be offended to get them as a present?!?!? Smile

Go for it Nickel at least it'll give you a little knowing smirk on Christmas morning

firegirl · 12/12/2014 12:03

Gosh RL majorly getting in the way of this thread at the moment. DH has been quite tolerant but yesterday was having lunch with him and got told to put my phone away because it was rude (he knew what I was looking at) Fair point I guess but I was trying to keep up with what was going on and didn't have a chance to check in properly for the rest of the day. Am at work now and trying to have sneaky peaks on here but keep getting interrupted. However I have now managed to have a look at the two min clip of BA in reign and I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how he looks and his CJ mannerisms coming through. Had to watch it on silent on my phone as I'm at work so I have the pleasure of hearing his voice in it later! So those who haven't had a chance to see it yet you're in for a treat. Makes up (a bit) for lack of CJ on our screens.

icemist · 12/12/2014 12:37

It's not great, but try this

OP posts:
cjwoofwoof · 12/12/2014 12:47

Ooh I say icemist that's a real treat! There's an eyebrow twitch, a pout, toothy grin, and shall we say the whole package in there...must watch again

icemist · 12/12/2014 12:56

there's something for evereyone Grin I'm just glad it worked Smile

OP posts:
icemist · 12/12/2014 13:09

I have managed to download the whole episode- least I can ff now to the best bits Grin will see if its possible to share

OP posts:
icemist · 12/12/2014 13:24

I 'think' I have actually managed to make a clip of it Grin so this will be much better quality. I never even knew I could do this on the laptop...

Afternoon everyone! Just checking in and yay! icemist has made my day! I love it - the voice, the grin, the mouth twitch, even perhaps a slight wink? Guess what I'll be watching over and over whilst I eat my lunch?!
