X Factor - Let the games begin!

So we're onto X Factor proper!

The pretty guy was Ashley then . For me, I'm lovin the Hairdressers (not a clue what their band name is), the pretty guy (Ashley), and Ben (long hair).

Don't like stage school kid one teeny tiny bit.

Oooohhhh, another bad song choice. Middle of the Road song that should be matched to an older singer instead of one of the youngest/hippest contestants.

Good song choice for her, and she's doing a nice job.

Ashley should have done a Stevie Wonder song - would really have suited him.

They look good, and I like the clothes. But individually the vocals are weak. Good finish though.

Why are all the songs so bland? Motown had some fabulous songs, and not many are in evidence tonight....maybe going for the housewife vote?

X-Factor does Mariah doing Motown. Good voice, though she struggled a bit with key changes, and seems self conscious.

Agree, McDonalds to go. And the songs are very dull aren't they? Let's hope it improves.

Who do you think actually votes? Doesn't it cost money?

As I said before, most of tonight's music seemed targetted to a very middle aged audience, and I would have thought middle aged people are unlikely to vote? But, having never followed one of the shows before I could be wrong.
