So we're onto X Factor proper!

The pretty guy was Ashley then . For me, I'm lovin the Hairdressers (not a clue what their band name is), the pretty guy (Ashley), and Ben (long hair).

Don't like stage school kid one teeny tiny bit.

There's so many unconventionals that I would have thought their friends/family voting could have got them through! This version is better than what they did first time, but still sure they'll go.

Earlybird · 14/10/2006 21:42

lockets - did you see Dionne's first performance of the song? All of the judges - especially Simon - praised her to the skies.

pookey · 14/10/2006 21:47

another that the MackieD brothers stayed, I thought Dionne was good and was dissapointed that the unconventionals went without a chance to do a better song next week.

puffling · 14/10/2006 22:56

I always have faith in the public once things get going, but initial voting confounds me as in this case. Why the f did Ray get through? What is the point? He's a munster, a stage school kid and nothing more. Kerry's been on telly already! Why did Dionne poll so few votes. shre's so good. Thank God my favourites got through.I love Nikitta and Dionne. Well done to them.

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 14/10/2006 23:05

please who got voted off as I missed it

theunknownrebelbang · 14/10/2006 23:17

the unconventionals went

mears · 15/10/2006 00:03

The McDonalds got through because the whole of Ayrshire was voting for them. I ma glad because theyare very talented and they didn't get the chance to shine with the crap song choice and wardrobe. I am a bit concerned about the advice they have been given so far - it certainly killed The Unconventional's chances.

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 15/10/2006 00:06

oh i liked them how did the bloke with long hair do

sockmonkey · 15/10/2006 08:29

They likened long hair bloke to Rod Stewart. I am a bit sad unconventionals went. They weren't the best but they are unique. I could do without him with the head of frizz. The first guy on was really good.

MrsFish · 15/10/2006 09:37

I'm not impressed with that Ashley bloke at all, Simon really rates him. Maybe it was just the song he was given, I thought it was boring.

My faves are Nikita, Leona, Ben, Dione and Eton Road

Furball · 15/10/2006 10:10

Ashleys voice is different but it has no power it always appears to be wishy washy.

Dissappointed that The Unconventionals didn't get a chance to do something abit more them. Not sure they are top 10 material but I think it's great to see something abit different.

It all boils down to whoever wins - will they survive in the tough old world of pop?

Where is Shane Ward? He only appears to have had just the 1 single in the 12 months.

Also just seen an advert for Steve Brooksteins new album - no offence to him, IMHO who's going to buy it?

CastsSpellsWitchySpells · 15/10/2006 11:27

Missed the results show as guests here, but horrified that my fav band have gone already. Their song wasn't good, but disappointed that we won't get to hear them do something more 'them'.

Furball - Shayne Ward had 2 hit singles - first one in at number 1, and second one at number 2 (No Promises), plus a disappointing (IMHO) album.

The McDonald brothers obviously got the sympathy vote Couldn't believe Din was in the bottom 2 - I guess people thought she'd be fine so didn't bother voting for her

yep they did as well!

mears · 15/10/2006 12:31

I hope that Louis has the McDonald's looking better next week and singing beside each other. Splitting them up with that song was a bad move. I have seen them perform together before and theydo have charisma. I hope they get the chance to show it. They won't win the show but I hope they get to stay a couple of weeks at least.

GhoulsToo · 15/10/2006 12:34

until I've watched my recorded programme

ScreamandYellowFeathers · 15/10/2006 12:35

Can't believe the result last night. Both Dionne and the unconventionals shouldn't have been in the bottom 2.
Just shows that people don't vote on talent.
Bit of a botch up show IMO. Why does it have to be themed?
Really strange because I think Dionne came out the best singing in that genre, Unconventionals admittedly was a bit all over but still amazing to hear, great voices and The Mcdonald brothers were the weakest by far but just not the right song at all for them.

I have when they were younger. They play lots of instruments and are very talented. They still are young boys though - oldest has only just turned 20yrs. What an incredible thing to happen for them - national TV! Sharon and Simon haven't liked them from the beginning. I agree they were the weakest last night but they may end up being the 'sympathy' act.

sockmonkey · 15/10/2006 15:36

It always seems that the folk who get berated by the judges go through. People vote in reaction to mean old simon, not on who is talented IMHO.

GhoulsToo · 15/10/2006 15:43

WELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just seen the results show

HOW ON EARTH DID THEY GET IN THE FINAL TWO?

British Public take your ear muffs off
