The day before the Ben Aldridge Sick Childrens Trust carol concert.... Oh how I wish he was going to be there. However I would be all over the shop if he was, hair apt, lex wax etc. All those cancelled now, but I will still have my stag pants in honour! I almost feel like not going any more, but somewhere in my dusty brain I think he might turn up!!! ... Dream on...!

I had bad news from home today, health issues that are getting more and more terminal...so I did a Forrest Gump and started running. 7.5 km. Eventually came back home (life is not a movie, really), but feeling better. Breathe in, breathe out....and now I might gonna need to do some serious cleaning up in this flat. But first I had to clean up the head a bit.

Sorry to hear you have bad news Cherin, life can really be shit. A run really does blow the cobwebs away and allows you your very own "think time". Sometimes I like to run without music somi canhear my heart (normally over panting) beating. We are always hear when you need to clean out your head.

Talking of cleaning i cleaned and dusted... Shock horror today in preparation for Christmas dec going up. My dusting will not be done now until they come down after Christmas.

I haven't seen Klipdoctor, but will take a well deserved break and have a coffee and read!

Luckily I have kids to keep me busy and distracted, in general, plus now the whole OG mania...and I am eagerly waiting my pens to arrive, and for a little time to draw :-) nothing like inserting a good dose of silliness into your life when shit hits the fan!!!

Nickel so glad you decided to carry on with the fanfic. Keep going it's good to read it. Or anyone else. I haven't got any ideas of where to take it right now so happy to sit back and read.
I was actually thinking of the carol concert this morning. It's come round quick. It's such a shame he won't be there for those of you that got tickets but there is a tiny chance he might be Richtea! Anyway it'll be a nice christmassy thing to go to, and a cause that BA must care about, as he'd agreed initially, so you're doing it for him!

Well all, my presentation went better than expected, especially as I was having to use somebody else's material and the mince pies went down a storm part way through too. Been thinking of a few ideas to continue the new fanfic but realistically, it is going to be the weekend before I can get it down on the laptop. Have a check up with the consultant shortly as well - guess I can jot things down if he's running late.

I'm not having trouble sleeping (in fact I have CJ in my mind as I put the light out) but I am waking up earlier than usual and it's down to OG and everything that we discuss on here. Mental or what?

Hang in there cherin. I've had my fair share of rubbish this past year or so - it's horrible. You do find out who your real friends are though - things like this definitely sort out the sheep from the lambs.

Or the shit from the clay, in pure OG-style...

This period is pure madness, shopping, school plays, costumes, flights to be booked, recipes to be cooked, all the projects have to be finished before Xmas (so that someone higher up in the line of command can sit on piles of paper over the holidays, than call you back early February asking "if you can send that report again 'cause he's lost it and now wants to read it", that's soooo typical)
It's difficult to remember to breathe, sometimes. But if we can laugh about it, just looking at the stag-mania or at stag-pants and jingly bells...then it's all fine! It's just one of them periods ;-)

No decompression for me, I'm having a sneaky look at Ep4 tonight. My report so far: It is definatley all about the mouth. Even when he says Ditto he makes the MOST amazing shape with his lips! I have just got to the interrogation when MD gets clobbered on the nose, and CJs look of worry and concern is quite frankly what every girl wants to see in her man (well I do, a week today I got balled out for crashing the car).

Why am I excited tonight about thr carols??? I must be deluded thinking BA is going to be there.... For me! It's going to be the most massusive let down!

Outfit sorted, red dress: Christmassy, and will stand out in a crowd. Items sorted for operation bulge, soft tape measure, binoculars, and selfie stick.

Men in white coats are all ready for me.

Wow it was stag central today at the shops. Couldn't turn round without seeing one.

Love your pic richtea. If that's not a photographic summary of our madness I don't know what is. And the thought of a semi naked CJ in such close proximity to one's pants... I'm going to sit with my measuring tape tomorrow and sing carols to myself, in respect for Operation Bulge.

Evening all! Just got back from taking the kids to see Santa. OGisms noted during the evening:

• Lots and lots of stags/reindeer
• We had to make stag horns with our hands as we sang Rudolf the Red Noses Reindeer to Santa
• I saw someone writing something on somebody else's arm
• I used a giant plastic penguin to help me skate around an ice rink

Not sure the last one has got anything to do with OG but at this advanced stage of my madness I am finding it very hard to tell.

SPO it's all fine. Most of us have had to embrace big plastic penguins at some point in our lives. As long as you have not rear-entered anyone with it, you should be able to save it as a precious memory....
richtea my bloody husband has confirmed he's going to his company Xmas party, otherwise I'd have joined you, with or without BA!!! With burgundy dress, lipstick, killer heels (everything is relative in life, 6cm heels kill ME). And I am pretty confident that I could have found a piece of novelty underwear stag themed clothing to match your undies. Not sure about the selfie stick. I have a residue of dignity somewhere deep, deep under...

cherin so sorry that you have had bad news. We may not be able to solve it, but I'm sure we can support you with some stag/zombie/lip biting action.

SPO, you crack me up, have your boys noticed your descent into madness?!? My littlie now gets quite cross when she has to stop watching OG at bedtime (let's not mention what a bad parenting technique this is!) although we have progressed to "the one where the man falls over" and "the one where smurf falls over" ... My DH had to put her to bed the other night and was quite concerned!! Little does he know!! Although she is now beginning to learn to read so I think the subtitles may be coming off soon (we don't have the sound on ... that would be bad!!)

Anyway ... Tonight was the first night in a long time that I didn't fall asleep on the floor while putting the kids to bed ... Cos all I could think about was what happens next in this fic!!

nickel same here!! Except that I am still on the floor, as DS2 took unexpected nap at 4:30 and is now in need of one of these shots they use for tigers escaped from the zoo...
(I have a little mattress on the floor. Bloody uncomfortable, I admit, but better than hardwood)
My kids don't know of this obsession (Little one thinks the pictures on the phone are of daddy) but that doesn't mean they think me sane ;-)

I have a matress too cherin, and a blanket ... Probably why I keep falling asleep! Oh well, needs must ...! Hope he goes to sleep soon.

((The big one definitely considers me bonkers. And he's getting into pre-teens so I am already embarrassing. Last Xmas play he had to dance 9-to-5 by Dolly Parton (yeah, modern Xmas plays). I should have recorded his face when he saw ME dancing more agitated than most of his buddies, during a rehearsal at school. Pure anguish. I was having a great time!

Such a shame hubby is out tomorrow night cherin. I'm going to ditch the selfie stick, really not a good look is it. I bought them for the boys for our holiday, thinking lilo, sea. They were mortified, "mum is not cool"! I'm meeting NVM so hoping wine will be consumed and we can but dream!

SPO the last time I went ice skating was at Somerset house about 3 years ago. Everyone else went off and I was surgically attached to a plastic Penguin - bloody scary!

It's been a long time since I have fallen asleep on the kids floors, but I do remember! Dolly Parton for Christmas! Good for karaoke though :)

Best Xmas play ever in DS school? Midsummer night dream! Yeah, you read that ok ;-) it was an excellent production, must say. Could not quite feel summerish sipping mulled wine and mince pies, but yet...
