SPO, that is fanbloodytastic! Above and way beyond!! Grin

(Your DW must be well chuffed, now you are doing spreadsheets and fanfic! Sorry Mrs SPO!)

pixieg1rl · 28/11/2014 10:21

I wonder if the cast could reunite for a zombie OG as part of comic relief or similar? I agree BA & LT would be excellent at sending up their characters. And given the insanity that TG & BA have been subjected to from some quarters it could be quite cathartic for them.

SPO and the rest if us would obviously reserve the right to be script consultants/set dressers/extras etc.

snumpy · 28/11/2014 10:28

SPOfficer - once again you done it. Absolutely brilliant fanfic. I think it's my favourite of all the fanfics out there. I now don't want a series 2 of OG, but wish they would make your version instead. Poor Smurf - still less good looking than his zombie twin.

AuroraDR · 28/11/2014 11:25

SPO oh well done. I really laughed. Great to see a funny/horror adaptation on the series. Can't wait until the next chapter.

Smurfingreat · 28/11/2014 12:12

Brilliant SPO, I'm now having visions of a feature length Shaun of the Dead style zombie OG movie!

cjwoofwoof · 28/11/2014 12:29

This is a whole new ball bag to me. I never thought you'd look twice at someone like me; thought you were out of my league. I don't live in one of them houses with the big staircases you fall down, like in The Omen, and I'm nowhere near as clever as some of you ladies (and gent) on MN. But I'm very fond of you all and want you to know I'm there for you, laughing my head off most of the time. You might gonna need to stitch some of these words together to work out I've been one of the lads for weeks now, just too shy/embarrassed/lacking in IT skills to join in.

But just wanted to say, if I was a prop I'd be the Afghan grime that seems to get everywhere...

Ilovelblue · 28/11/2014 12:33

Welcome cjwoofwoof. Does the CJ stand for Captain James by any chance? Love all the phrases you have managed to include!

We are totally mad, totally obsessed but I am sure if you were to meet us, you would realise that we are quite normal on the surface and have responsible jobs with a variety of skills! Writing fanfiction seems to be our most recently discovered skill as you can see.

firegirl · 28/11/2014 13:19

Welcome cjwoofwoof you should not feel too shy or embarrassed to join in. Many of us have not been so involved in a thread previously. I have never contributed anything on a thread ever before and here I am! So dig in, join us and enjoy.

SPOfficer · 28/11/2014 13:31

Afternoon everyone! Glad you liked chapter 2. cherin gave me a great start which I could build off. Might gonna be a bit late with the stats this week since the fan fic has taken over.

pixie sounds like your working on your next instalment. Can't wait to read it.

cjwoofwoof welcome. Great username!

Ilovelblue · 28/11/2014 13:54

Wearing the Tesco blue stag pants today (with little bell removed). Have to say they are very comfortable and there's 25% off all Tesco clothing until Sunday so they only work out at £2.62!

orphan · 28/11/2014 14:15

cjwoofwoof wish I'd thought of your name! Welcome to this madhouse serious discussion group.

SPO I think The Walking Dead zombie drama is on its 5th series, so you do realise we expect you to continue for at least as long? I feel like how I imagine Victorian readers felt, waiting on tenter hooks for the next instalment of a serialised novel.

firegirl · 28/11/2014 14:24

Question for icemist I think. Was it you who made yourself a CJ calendar a few threads back? Which site did you use? I have just tried to order a CJ photo bookmark from notonthehighst and they won't do it cos the images are copyrighted apparently. (All screenshots from the series)

cjwoofwoof · 28/11/2014 14:25

Has anybody noticed Major Beck has suddenly popped up in Corrie as Dev's friend Dom? Fingers is also in it as Kylie's drug-dealing ex. Question: why can't we have BA pulling a few pints in the Rovers, dressed in full combat gear of course, coz it's well rough round Salford. Or maybe he could be an old friend of Gary's in the Army who happens to be in the area, dressed in full combat gear, and decides to stay for say, six months. Or maybe having the Afghan grime washed out of his hair in Audrey's Salon, dressed in full combat gear, simply because it matches the taupe/cream decor.

orphan · 28/11/2014 14:35

Don't watch Corrie, but def would if BA turned up in combats. I wonder what other programmes he could pop up in dressed in his combats?

apsara03 · 28/11/2014 14:37

Afternoon you massive cockwombles. On the props front I'm gonna have to go for his coffee mug. Quite like the idea of being in his manly grasp.

Having caught up on the fan fic yesterday, I was happily wondering around tesco in my own little CJ bubble in search of stag pants and other stag purchases (see attached), when someone I know in RL was behind me in the queue. Bit of a jolt back to reality n luckily there were some non stag purchases on the conveyor. No blue stag pants there though so I gonna had to drive to another tesco which just happens to be opposite the barracks, been avoiding it and managed not to crash car whilst looking at guys on duty at the gate. So, am now typing this siting in the cafe looking at the barracks. Just as well there's no army guys in here (there often is) as my blood pressure is probably high enough!

apsara03 · 28/11/2014 14:40

Casualty - Bristol not far from Bath, though maybe on charge of army ex that goes wrong to ensure he's in combats

icemist · 28/11/2014 14:43

I did the calendar on vistaprint.

I also purchased the navy knickers from Tesco. CJ can ring my bell anytime Wink

Love the zombie FanFiction SPO

firegirl Photobox do a good line in print your own calendars as well though I've not done a CJ one. Have done one of my holiday pictures for next year though so not sure how it would work with copyright photos. Would have thought if they were on your phone/hard drive/memory stick, it should be ok. Actually, Tesco also do a reasonable line in calendars too.

cherin · 28/11/2014 14:48

Welcome cjwoofwoof! And cheers to anyone else that maybe reading but not posting. Whatever the reason. I confess that I haven't watched any clip for at least 10 days now (I watched the first movie, in part), but I am enjoying too much reading and contributing here.

SPO your new chapter is just so funny! Keep on writing (maybe we should include resonating underpant-bells to break the zombie spell??)

My washing machine is already possessed by the Sock Monster, I can't only imagine his delight if I tried to wash bells-accessorised underpants.
(According to the General Law of Sock Enthropy, for every pair of socks you wash there's a 60% chance one will be gobbled up and re-appear in the laundry of your next door neighbour. Or in Australia, sometimes. Maybe with a little jingly bell)
((Have you ever wondered why, oh why, it's impossible to buy a multi-packet of socks ALL the same?? I mean, if they were all the same at the end of a month you'd be left with maybe 3 pairs instead of 5, but they'd be wearable. No! They all come in slight colour permutations or various stripes width...ok sorry, venting is over. I see a business opportunity here, nevertheless....))

Ilovelblue · 28/11/2014 14:48

cjwoofwoof - you're certainly getting into the swing of all this very quickly. How long have you been lurking?

firegirl · 28/11/2014 15:07

Thanks for the replies icemist and ilove, I'll have a look.

cjwoofwoof · 28/11/2014 16:18

Hi Ilovelblue, I've been lurking probably for about two weeks now. Was utterly devastated at end of OG and my weekly fix of all things CJ. Was desperate to find anybody as sad keen as me to reminisce, but theres very little info on the www that I haven't read 10 times already. Then by chance there was a link to MN and this thread, and I've been hooked ever since. Absolutely loving you silly stagpanted cockwombles.

apsara03 · 28/11/2014 16:22

same with me cjwoofwoof I only discovered this thread just over a week ago, welcome to the madness - I haven't laughed so much in ages

Ilovelblue · 28/11/2014 16:29

As you may have noticed cjwoof from something I posted last night, there are a number of us who have been on here since the very first thread. I had never posted in earnest before (just once when it was a problem I was having with a cat but I never got a reply on the forum where I posted it) and felt a bit silly at first but I think we have all got quite friendly over the weeks. It amazes me that even though the series finished on 19 October, this forum has gone from strength to strength.

Let me guess - there is nobody you know (friends, relatives, acquaintances, colleagues) who have watched it and you feel completely alone?

My male colleagues rumbled me the first week after it finished as they saw me looking at some screenshots icemist and NVM had posted so I thought "what the hell" and put CJ as one of my screensavers on my work PC. I did get ribbed for it but if they could lust after certain film stars and actresses, then why could I not drool over Captain James!

cjwoofwoof · 28/11/2014 16:54

That's right Iloveblue, I was completely alone in my obsession admiration of CJ/BA...until I found you lot! And I have to say I'm now finally over my devastation at losing Spartacus on Sky1 last year. CJ knocks Crixus well off the radar. Ooh imagine CJ in loincloth and sandals...
