Hellocjwoof brilliant name!

The Tesco Stag pants with bell survived a 40degree maximum speed spin cycle, pants and machine are doing well, phew!

I had another successful Christmas shopping day, more coffee, lunch and tea than purchases though. I am totally amazed how much stag merchandise there is in the shops. I saw the huggable hottie in JL and many other stag delights. The most exciting find was a full size furry stag in M&S. It was so busy in there I had to stop the people traffic to take a photo.

I have been chuckling to myself all day thinking of SPOs zombie fan Fic and seriously need the next instalment. A feature film would be great, just think there would be a premier!!!!!!! We can walk the red carpet with CJ, assuming he will be leading role, he will be won't he? Oh and goodie bags, including stag pants, original hand drawings by cherin. I can see it all............

Richtea19 · 28/11/2014 17:14

M&S stag, I really need one!

Hi all just wanted to poke my head over the sandbags and admit I've been lurking here since the beginning and am addicted to this thread and OG - you have all kept me sane for the last few weeks! Such a relief to know I'm not the only crazy person around honestly thought I was going a bit mad in the first few episodes and still can't find anyone in RL who liked it - had one friend who watched it and then told me she deleted it from Sky box as soon as she'd finished watching the series - I knew then she wasn't one of us! Really enjoy all the fan fic esp your ones - had to majorly stifle laughs reading the zombie fic as trying to explain what was funny to DH when he doesn't even know about OG would be a step too far!

pixieg1rl · 28/11/2014 17:39

I like the idea of being a stagpanted cockwomble.

Welcome new posters, hello lurkers. Don't be scared, jump into our paddling pool of insanity.

Nickel45 · 28/11/2014 17:39

Welcome always, I cant believe we are still getting new mad crazy people joining in .... Have we been going longer on this thread yet, than the the series was? Lovely to have new people join in ... Just to prove it isn't just a dozen or so of us hard core (that term seems to be becoming more accurate daily!) CJ Obsessives!

SPO re read chapter 2 again while I was cooking kids tea (it burnt!), and it really is brilliant. How you managed to get everyone in, and loved the unforeseen plot twist!

On a completely different note I heard someone use the expression "he's a complete bell end " today. Not heard that in years, other than on OG, and she's a northerner ... A fellow obsessive or coincidence?!?

Smurfingreat · 28/11/2014 17:57

Just been reading the zombie fic again, somehow even funnier second time round. Don't want to nitpick, but I did spot one little thing SPO, doesn't Mansfield do the 50 sausage challenge in episode 4?

Wildwillow · 28/11/2014 18:11

OMG!! there is just sooo much to catch up with!!! I would love to contribute at some point but you've probably covered it all already...
I used to be in the TA and so feel very sentimental about all things military. My nick name in my last life was Hot Lips Houlihan (MASH ... remember..) anyway - I digress... in a bid to get dtbs (darling twin boys) out from in front of the x box I waited til the latest misdemeanour and then used this as the lever to insist that they go and join the Army Cadets down the road... and lo.... i walked in the door to be confronted with my very own living and breathing Cpt James..... well not quite but a very easy on the eye substitute. As i dropped off son (only one went on first week) my local CJ asked for my number just in case... as dutiful mum i scribbled it down... and then he asked me if i wanted his. I thought of saying yes but instead played it cool and refused .... afterall Im probably only about 20 years older than him.... still livened up an otherwise dreary Wednesday night. I'm waiting to be kept informed of weekend operations and am ready to volunteer if my country needs me.

icemist · 28/11/2014 18:12

Last episode was 19th October which will be 6 weeks ago this Sunday!

Think we've done rather well.

It's been a bit snappy on Twitter - people starting to say no need to include BA and LT in every tweet about the show. Which is exactly right.

I hope my autograph turns up soon... Will be a fab Christmas present to me Grin

OP posts:
Richtea19 · 28/11/2014 18:31

How brilliant to have more contributors in week 6!!!

I had completely forgotton about your autograph icemist. It would be amazing if you received it for Christmas, CJ in your stocking!

Did you find anything online about the Synchronicity premier whether BA was there? All those bloody Twitter messages they are starting to irritate me!

Nickel45 · 28/11/2014 18:40

What are they twittering about?

I tried looking on google about the synchronicity premier, but just a link to a Facebook page, which didn't really say anything! Guessing BA wasn't back. Which is good really, cos if he was back and wasn't going to the carol concert, that would be worse!!

Went to our new reopened sainsbury today, with a big new clothing dept (apparently) but no stag pants. So either our Sainsbury is crap or you lot all live near here and have already been in and bought the lot. Was a bit disappointed! Had to buy chocolate to make up for it ... That's not part of my OG diet!

pixieg1rl · 28/11/2014 19:16

I find the tone of some twitter/petitions etc just ridiculous. ITS A TV PROGRAMME FFS. You do not have a 'right' to insist that a new series is commissioned, or written or that the actors have to do it. The fact that these people think that way is just testament to how unhinged they are.

In non-unhinged news I have purchased a pair of stag pants, and been working on the fanfic, because I'm perfectly sane and keeping all this in perspective. Wink

Hiya!

Still here, but a bit busy. Don't want to fail to post at least once a day or will fall out of SPO's stats.

Nickel they use the term 'bell-end' all the time on Bluestone 42 but not something that I generally hear uttered elsewhere.

On the stag front my only contribution is buying my DD a red onesie for Christmas with a bit of a stag motif thing going on. It won't mean anything to her!

Isn't there some expression used in a military connection 'to go stag' - God help me it could mean anything but I thought it meant something about taking the lead whilst out on patrol - of course it could have a pretty different meaning especially now. I'm sure someone can put me right on all of this.

Over and out!

Smurfingreat · 28/11/2014 19:43

Yikes, that twitter lot are bonkers and not in the lovely way we are. The official OG facebook made the mistake of asking earlier what people would like to see more of on the page, sure you can all imagine the result....

Nickel45 · 28/11/2014 19:45

Glad I'm not on twitter, would drive me nuts.

You're as sane as the rest of us pixie! So no worries there Wink

I might gonna have to watch bluestone 42, rhubarb. I'm guessing its not on at the moment? Is it bbc? I couldn't see on iplayer?

Rhubarb01 · 28/11/2014 19:49

Well I must have invented the military connection although I'm sure it could be applied to CJ without Molly. Apparently it refers to a man going to a social event without a female partner.

I'll leave that one to you ladies (and Gent) to make what you want of it!

Rhubarb01 · 28/11/2014 19:52

Of course, the lead person is referred to as being 'on point' I recall now but I really think going stag would be better! (What was I saying many, many, many posts ago about people not engaging brain before using twitter - mmh now hoist by my own petard! sounds painful)

Definitely over and out now - things to do.

klj78 · 28/11/2014 19:58

Stag on = guard duty

pixieg1rl · 28/11/2014 19:59

I don't follow any of this stuff on twitter and wouldn't touch that petition with either end of Smurf's stick. I hope that anyone involved in OG has just quietly blocked this lot and is just getting on with their lives.

icemist · 28/11/2014 20:03

they are nuts, it would seriously pee me off!

TG humors them, but even he disappeared from twitter for a few days.

I much prefer our threads Grin

Happy to announce that today we had drawing classes in the office (as an attempt to unlock the creativity of my fellow professionals who are very, very technical and borderline autistic for some points of view....can't tell you what I do for a living but if I could you'd understand. I hope!). Anyway...
The drawing class was inspiring! So much fun!! I need to do more of that. Expect more stag-headed CJ images! I'll have to work on the legs-apart, stern face, being measured one. It's in my brain, now it needs to get on paper!
I may treat myself to some fancy pencils :-)

Welcome to all the newcomers! We want you to be brilliant, so if you have any desire to contribute to this madness in whatever format, please do! No judgment. We're in here for a laugh. Mostly!

Btw: I can't believe you didn't take a CJ lookalike number! I know I would not have the courage to use it ever, but nevertheless....(have you tried taking the sharpie out and asking him to write you on your wrist???)

apsara03 · 28/11/2014 20:11

Nickel 45 BLUESTONE 42 £7.86 with free p+p on ebay. might have to gonna get it too.

Re Bell end, don't you mention all the hilarity a few years ago over the xmas song "Don't let the bells end" by the Darkness, which was clearly meant to have the double meaning. According to DH it's a north west expression

SPOfficer · 28/11/2014 20:14

smurging you are right, of course its episode 4. My only excuse is that I am writing late at night without the aid of an informed proof reader!

always welcome. Interesting how many of us are drawn to this thread for broadly the same reasons, love of the show, lack of RL friends who are fans, the need for a little quality time with a psychiatrist....

Ilovelblue · 28/11/2014 20:17

I'm from the north west. I know what bellend means but I've never used the expression and to be honest have never heard it used either around here.

gymkhanagilly · 28/11/2014 20:31

Hello! Another long-time lurker emerging from the shadows here. I've been laughing over these threads for weeks now. I'm completely addicted to all things Our Girl and my appreciation for CJ shows no sign of abating - ah well there's worse things in life. I'm also about halfway through the first series of Bluestone 42 which I'm enjoying too. Oh and thanks to OG the only cd I can listen to at the moment is London Grammar.

Anyway thanks for all the entertainment so far and keep it up - this is the only thing keeping me sane in the madness of my life!!!!!
