No one on the X Factor thread ever admits to voting! We just like slagging it off.

Edwina's daughter has just been interviewed on GMB and was asked that question (about E dealing with young people). She said she's used to it, as she has 2 daughters, a few stepsons, 6 (?) grandchildren and a couple of great-gc too. I can't imagine her dds were easy to bring up. They've always struck me as being feisty and opinionated too.

Not sure why everyone keeps expressing surprise that Jimmy was voted off (technically) first. It wasn't a level playing field, as all those who probably would have left before him, were immune from the vote. He might otherwise have had time to redeem himself from "banter-gate." It's too recent at the moment.

LineRunner Yes that was what I meant really. I doubt if any on this thread actually vote - or do they?

The fun for me is in the comments as the family watch it on our own goggle box sofa.

It was a harsh elimination though, with only 4 to choose from. I don't think any of those 4 would have naturally gone first.

Im liking Jake mmore, not in THAT way, but his personality, thought he was very dignified with the 'banter'gate.

I thought Jake took it well. He was clearly hurt by what Jimmy was saying but held himself back admirably.
I hope he succeeds in life after sleb, if not as a singer.
