Well with Christmas coming plus 3 of my children's birthdays, I decided to put some bloody effort in and hit the shops. Look what I found in John Lewis (hope this works, never posted a pic before) - a product with some obvious room for improvement!

Would be great if it really was BA, but I'm afraid I'm not convinced. Would he really create a new FB account just to sort that? And isn't he in Canada. And wouldn't it and been about 4 in the morning? Not that ive been thinking about it at all!

Heels99 · 21/11/2014 13:47

Or maybe the article in bbc website doesn't list every show that has been renewed just a few?

icemist · 21/11/2014 13:51

love it beingfrank

wish I had a Lewis' and Sainsbo near me....

firegirl and SPO - apologies, didn't really look at the men's stuff. In fact, it was supposed to be a very quick visit but in my local Sainsburys, you have to wade through all the household and clothes type stuff before doing your proper food shopping. I'll nip in again on Sunday to buy my stag pants. Am sure they will give me a nice warm feeling!

mandy214 · 21/11/2014 13:52

Love the stag knickers Grin

icemist · 21/11/2014 13:55

I don't think the decision has been made yet on Our Girl

I saw this yesterday in TK Maxx, could just hear CJ saying it (along the lines of keen and eager soldier)

So what do we reckon? Is it all just a dastardly, mischief making plot on the part of someone in the FB group aimed to send Twitter, FB and us crazy and into meltdown and reapply pressure to the BBC? Perhaps we've got an infiltrator. Its not me - I'll take a lie detector!

snumpy · 21/11/2014 14:45

Looks like someone has tweeted the FB page to TG's Twitter account to see if it's true.

Smurfingreat · 21/11/2014 15:07

Didn't occur to me that it could be some crazed FBer, I'm so gullible Sad

ihearttc · 21/11/2014 15:10

Apparently on the FB page Nick Preston is on there and someone has asked him and he says its not true.

I seriously doubt it is Ben...it just doesn't make sense tbh.

Ilovelblue · 21/11/2014 15:11

I did wonder Smurfin but can't believe people have nothing better to do. (Says she who has been on this thread half the day. It's part of my recuperation. Currently re-watching episode 2).

icemist · 21/11/2014 15:43

Sad that people have nothing better to do than make up fake accounts pretending to be someone.
My emm stalking studying of BA on Twitter set off alarm bells. What did make me laugh was the supposed adults getting all excited on Twitter that it may be/not him

gosh, you're all been quite busy today :) I've manage to drop quite a few "indeed"s into conversation, which makes me smile. I'll have to try "stay alert, stay focused, stay out of detention" - they'll think I'll loopier than I already am.
I might gonna need to go to sainsburys on the way home, though don't think I'd better wear them whilst reading the Missed Me fanfic, which I found last night - don't think any shower would be taters enough!
My DH caught me watching Whataman this morning, he asked what I was listening to (so not my taste in music) and I said I wasn't listening, he looked over and groaned - hey ho, it went rather nicely with my coco pops :)

Ilovelblue · 21/11/2014 17:23

icemist, happy to get you some of the stag pants if you want. Just send me a PM. I will be going again on Sunday.

cherin · 21/11/2014 17:31

I have already declared my affection (and not sponsorship) for Uniqlo, and just ordered checked flannel shirts for the whole family, plus there's a version in military-mimetic-green...and they also do with the same pattern the most comfy leggings. I may end up walking around north London dressed like a proper soldier ;-)
(Bit ironic for a pacifist, but hey...)

Stags panties are not my style

monopod · 21/11/2014 18:29

Looks like the BA message on FB got pulled...

Cherin I was just looking at the Uniqlo site yesterday! Bought a load of stuff but alas, decided that DH wouldn't suit the checked flannel and DS had enough clothes.

I am proud to report that DH and I went for our first-ever run today, inspired by OG (not that he knows Grin). In the space of 30mins I managed to get in "You'll be 20 paces behind me" and "mortified" (what was he wearing?!) and to reference various bits of interesting rhyming slang while I discussed why people aren't as interested in the origins of language as they ought to be. Top afternoon.

Rhubarb01 · 21/11/2014 19:03

Well, I managed to go away for a few hours and be sensible and project the outward appearances of normality as I had slipped into that Friday feeling and developed a silliness overload earlier today. (sorry!)

However all the talk of rhyming slang and SPO's discussion earlier in the week set me thinking that we could develop our own OG rhyming slang. Just for starters here are a few.

"Cor that sun isn't half in my kinders!" - kinder suprise - Eyes

"My DS has been a right little Mansfield today!" - Mansfield Mike - Tyke

"That is rubbish - definitely a FOB job!" - FOB watch - botch

I bet you lot can come up with some great examples. I was trying to think of one for Molly but haven't thought of one yet.

orphan · 21/11/2014 19:15

Get your molly off that last biscuit, it's mine! - Molly Dawes (paws)

orphan · 21/11/2014 19:20

This is my favourite bit can you just molly it? - Molly Dawes (pause)

orphan · 21/11/2014 19:23

Just listening to Peter Firmin on the radio. Am not sure about the Clangers remake myself, but he's convinced it'll be just as good, if not better.

SPOfficer · 21/11/2014 19:45

beingfrank love the mug! ilove do the boxers incorporate real stag horns? - don't want to do myself a mischief.

Good for you monopod its great to have a running partner to keep each other going.

Great idea rhubarb about the OG slang. Just need to come up with one! Oh and by the way I was only having a giraffe about having farmers!

Beingfrank · 21/11/2014 19:55

It's hard to tell from the picture, SPO, but it is actually a reclining man tea infuser! How much better if it was an anatomically correct CJ...

apsara03 · 21/11/2014 20:24

Loving the OG rhyming slang.

Well done on the running monopod
I've started doing metafit - I think it was devised by someone from the army. 30 mins of hell but you feel good afterwards.
