Must not have a hot coffee and read this at the same time!
Need to change my jeans after coughing my coffee all over myself!

I did a reverse one before and held door open for youngest. Admittedly he's only 15 months and a bit wobbly on his feet but I'm sure he appreciated it

SPO I literally laughed out loud at this and in the office too (shouldn't really be looking at this thread but what the hell). I've attracted a few strange looks these past few weeks. Gents' toilets must be an odd place - I hear stories from the guys I work with - do be careful! Not sure they would believe the CJ emulation and the practice you need to put in. Mind you, for somebody who has had imaginary conversations with CJ in her kitchen, I'm half-deranged myself.

Nickel45 · 12/11/2014 14:19

SPO That is brilliant!! I've just made my lip bleed, bitting it to stop myself laughing out loud, with tears of laughter running down my face ... must get myself an office before I check this again!

orphan · 12/11/2014 14:47

Please SPO don't get carted away for 'treatment' before Operation Big Gloves can take place! Am glad I'm on my own this afternoon whilst reading this.

orphan · 12/11/2014 14:52

Have a horribly clear picture of you leaning in cubicle doorway, grinning and doing the come hither jerk of the head.

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 15:43

Back from a mentally challenging day with father... No chance of anything OG, would of been totally lost!
cherin. I love the new drawing. Including 6 pack and an interesting bulge in combat trousers? Or is that just me imagining things?! Lovely!

SPO you crack me up! Your commitment to emulating CJ is commendable. So looking forward to your report on operation Big Gloves.

I like the idea of a remake of an old film, although he would still have to be called CJ. Perhaps the new James Bond. He could be in combats during the day and Black Tie by night! God I bet he looks good in a tuxedo... And smells good, small amount of stubble...... Also there would be an opening for new Bond girls, which I am sure we could all do???

Ilovelblue · 12/11/2014 15:51

Richtea - oh yes, definitely! He would make an amazing Bond! I'm a bit too old to be his Bond girl but would volunteer for M or even Miss Moneypenny!

Just had to ring Bailbrook House to make a small amendment to our booking and casually dropped into conversation with the receptionist that somebody had said the hotel had been filmed for a television series. "It was a series called 'Our Girl'. Have you heard of it?" he said. I nonchalantly mentioned that I had watched it and only found out later that the hotel was used to film part of the series. What a coincidence! What a liar I am!! He promised to tell me all about it when we arrive but said that the BBC had been there "for quite a long time". Hmmmm, I wonder how long to film a five minute sequence? Didn't NappyValley say that the Nespresso sequence took about two hours? I wonder if they filmed the CJ/MD bedroom scene there in the hotel too?

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 16:13

Iloveblue how very exciting. Inside information. Yes I bet they used a bedroom as well, as we did spot the phone on the wall. Can you imagine if you had the very same bedroom! All I can think of now is Klipdoctor and My Man fanfic, bedroom scenes! I might Google the hotel and casually leave suggestions to DH for a New Years break!

Btw, I am also too old to be a Bond Girl, but they can do a lot with make up these days!

Ilovelblue · 12/11/2014 16:16

I should so not be on here during the day but had some more information it may be worth sharing. I emailed another colleague of mine who is ex-Royal Marines (his ringtone on his mobile is 'Rule Britannia', he's a really ace chap) to ask about the sleeping arrangements for Molly. If he thought me totally weird, he kept his thoughts to himself! This was his response:

*They would normally have some separation in their accommodation when in forward camp, it may only be a sheet but would generally be a separate building/room within the compound where possible.

Outside of secure compounds everyone sleeps rough if at all. Overnight patrols would very much be the norm for army units in Afghan and once back to a base camp they would have separate accommodation.*

Ilovelblue · 12/11/2014 16:23

Richtea - don't forget my stay at Bailbrook House is with a friend for a ladies' shopping and eating weekend so can't really get too excited about the bedroom! She was a fan of the programme, but not obsessive like us. May need to keep my excitement for the series under wraps and judge her response once we see the dining room before saying anything else! They may even have some photos of the filming on display. I will keep you all posted (will this still be going strong in February?).

pixieg1rl · 12/11/2014 16:37

Your intelligence gathering is above and beyond, Iloveblue. Definitely worth a mention in dispatches.

MumOfTheMoos · 12/11/2014 16:40

I might try 'Mission Briefing' pre-Nursery as well. Although I fear I might just get the response:

No, Mummy. Don't want missonbweefing

Thanks for all the responses re: sleeping arrangements - it's been bugging me from a while and it just looks like it's a plot device - can't believe TG would have got it all over the place in the script so probably happened during filming.

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 16:50

Thanks for link of Bailbrook House. I have just registered for offers, DH likes to think he is getting a deal!!! Think I would rather go with girlfriend too, probably have more of a giggle! (Need to brainwash, I mean educate girlfriends on OG, not much success so far!)

Excellent Intel on the sleeping arrangements, always good to have a man on the inside.

orphan · 12/11/2014 17:09

richtea isn't Bond, Commander James Bond so we could still call him CJ. And he's def licensed to thrill. Wonder what our Bond girl names would be?
Re your comment on the new drawing - a particular feature of Cherin's art is her painstaking attention to detail...Grin

ilove am well jel about your Bailbrook stay. I bet the staff have some great gossip to share about the filming.

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 17:25

Yes Commander Bond! At least we would still be able to refer to him as CJ, don't want to confuse RL with fantasy, oh I think I already have!

Although I am too old to be CJ girl, I would give it a go, but I do draw the line at being sprayed gold, wearing hot pants, low rise bikini (aka Ursula Andre). I could do the long evening dress, draped on a casino table with a Martini.;)

cherin · 12/11/2014 17:27

Well, what can I say? I was just looking at the picture, purely for reference. A true artist reflects the truth. What's there, is there.

cherin · 12/11/2014 17:31

richtea I never had a martini and I am (as you surely noticed) very, very bad with alcohol. A small sip makes me first silly (more than usual, that is), and immediately after sleepy. So I applaud your idea of draping yourself (was that a casino table or a piano?), I would surely roll off, stumble on the long dress and cover myself of ridicule in fits of giggles. If nobody took it already, I'll apply for MrsM. Or I can pretend to be a brainy scientist of sort (have been doing this for the last 15yrs and nobody yet found me out!)

orphan · 12/11/2014 17:39

Oh I can def do the Martini cocktail side of things but fear bikinis and seductive slinking are beyond my capabilities.

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 17:39

Well think the role of MrsMP or brainy scientist is preferable, as the CJ girls normally get killed off! I was thinking draped on a casino table, piano too shiney and what with my long "satin" dress I would slip off ;)

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 18:11

Has anyone read the new chapter of Kilpdoctor yet? I have had a quick read and it's good. Going to have glass of wine in a bit and read through properly. He is keeping our dream alive!

snumpy · 12/11/2014 18:26

I've read it Richtea19. Really good but I wish she wouldn't refer to CJ as Charlie - it doesn't suit him.

SPOfficer · 12/11/2014 18:39

Operation Big Gloves is a go - wish me luck!

Richtea19 · 12/11/2014 18:44

Snumy, when I read it, i read as Charles. He is not a Charlie!

SPO. Soooo exciting.... Good luck, stay focused and stay alert! Don't forget to report back after your mission. We are there for you 100%. Lol!

icemist · 12/11/2014 18:54

Charles to me too.

Ooh good luck SPO

He would make a fabulous Bond.
