passthesherry I thought that it was a bit odd when Molly cleared his stuff and all the photos were hidden away. A photo of his son was visible on his desk in the hiding in the wardrobe scene but all evidence had been removed by later scene but I like your idea that CJ had to put things away because feelings were too raw.
I think being on tour was def a refuge from difficulties at home for CJ, cos he tells Molly in ep 4 that he's not looking forward to going home and says something about 'if you find somewhere you're happy' ie with 2 section and Molly.

orphan · 11/11/2014 14:43

I like how Rebecca was very different in looks to Molly whose face is so animated and natural. Glad CJ is not someone who has a 'type' (maybe there is hope for me still...ooops confusing CJ with BA again).

monopod · 11/11/2014 14:45

I can see what folk are saying about CJ and Rebecca not yet having gained closure - I agree to some extent but think he had also reached a point where he had accepted their decision to split (which is not to say it didn't hurt horribly, hence his other life being in a box). At least while he was on tour. Like Molly said, everything seemed possible while on tour - including the pull of the forbidden relationship - although the reality of being back home, in a hospital bed and with both his ex-wife and new love in the same room probably had him feeling a bit displaced!

Makes sense to me, anyway Wink

orphan · 11/11/2014 15:12

stressybird Need to know if you managed to insert any CJisms into your meeting.

DrBunsen · 11/11/2014 16:17

cherin that is AMAZING, I am literally crying with laughter at headset deer!

cherin · 11/11/2014 16:44

Glad you liked it, DrBunsen
I have started my attempt at the "stag in the paddling pool" version but then colleagues came too close and really could not justify that type of drawing in my line of trade. Shame took over. And the third meeting of the day. (I sometimes feel like a cheap performer, having to repeat a show various times a day. Does that give me a degree of similarity to an actor?? Don't think so. Who am I kidding)
Anyway. We'll see if I find some quiet time after I sort the kids out. Do I need to add the bubble speech "you've got 10 seconds, I am trying to relax here"?

cherin · 11/11/2014 16:53

Another parallelism: CJ puts his home life in a box and shoves into the closet, whilst Molly tries to put her afghan life under the stairs. Both attempts fail, because at some point the truth always pops up. (But both of them manage to react positively and take control of the situation, which is kind of the morale for me)

Richtea19 · 11/11/2014 16:54

Yes bubble speech pls... In anticipation!

orphan · 11/11/2014 16:55

cherin can't wait to see it. Are stag's eyes closed in blissful relaxation?

orphan · 11/11/2014 16:57

Then next commission please do molly looking at the stag's hooves. What animal would Molly be?

cherin · 11/11/2014 16:59

Mhhhm, difficult to decide. May need to go to my local deer enclosure tomorrow (day off) and try to talk one of the beasts into setting up a pose for me. What shall I bribe them with? (If I end up gored, I may need to write asking specifically for one of these eco wicker casket thingies...)
(God only knows what I have written. I trust the spell checker to make it even more confusing)

cherin · 11/11/2014 17:02

Molly is a dove. Definitely. (Dowes-dove. Big eyes. Brings peace, etc etc)
But stags and doves can't mate! Bugger. Will need to think about something else. At least another mammal. Hare?

orphan · 11/11/2014 17:04

Oh no am having involuntary laughter spasms picturing you sweet talking a stag into posing for you!!

orphan · 11/11/2014 17:05

Oh yes I can see the stag caressing the hare's long ears...

snumpy · 11/11/2014 17:44

Molly can be a doe. Didn't Bambi's mum have big beautiful eyes?

cherin · 11/11/2014 17:50

I can just imagine the headline of the local newspaper: "Mother of two gets gored whilst wrestling a stag to fit into an inflatable paddling pool. Apparently, she was trying force him to mimic the pose of a fictional sexy army captain in a bbc series. She leaves behind an incredulous husband and a shattered professional reputation."

Charming

I may go back to stick man, right now :-)

ihearttc · 11/11/2014 18:01

Completely changing the subject but I've just been greeted with a picture of Russell Brand...apparently he is doing a web chat on MN!!

Is nobody at MNHQ listening to us...we want Ben Aldridge or Tony Grounds to do a web chat not Russell Brand!!

orphan · 11/11/2014 18:08

No, I think Molly should be a different species to underline the difference between her and CJ, the stag. I'm thinking of the warm feeling I got from last year's John Lewis Christmas ad when friendship crossed the species divide!

orphan · 11/11/2014 18:11

That would be amazing - imagine BA doing a MN webchat!!!

orphan · 11/11/2014 18:18

cherin have seen that Chris Packham has written to Ant and Dec to protest against animal cruelty in 'I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here'. He would def be contacting you if he got wind of stags being coerced into posing in paddling pools...!!!

ihearttc · 11/11/2014 18:20

I doubt whether we'd get BA realistically but Im seriously wondering if there is a way to get TG over here...not sure how to approach it though!

monopod · 11/11/2014 18:29

cherin I laughed out loud at your headline!

Stag and doe works for me! No problem about inter-species friendships but the mating bit is just a bit Confused Anyway orphan the kinship is just as undeniable as the difference Grin and in any case, the differences between male and female may just as well make them different species... (my combat trousers arrived today and DH rolled his eyes at me and said "women" Angry)

Nickel45 · 11/11/2014 18:34

Sorry to go back to a previous conversation (first time to check in this afternoon) but after re watching a few times (purely for research purposes, of course) I think the photo of CJs son is still on the desk when Molly clears it out, isn't it just moved up, behind the laptop?

BTW, has anyone noticed the gorgeous way CJ says "come here" when he takes Molly into his cabin though? Love that voice!

orphan · 11/11/2014 18:46

Oh hadn't noticed that Nickel really thought it had disappeared. Hooray, I need a rewatch then! Smile

orphan · 11/11/2014 18:50

I suppose you're right monopod after all the John Lewis bear and hare were only friends - no mating involved!
