My FB friends would not believe I am on here drooling over CJ if this came up on there! It was bad enough being rumbled at work but at least I came clean and it meant I could have a picture of CJ on my screensaver!

I did wonder if she is amongst us. Have just checked on Google (should have done that before I asked the question). If it's the same Laurielove then yes, it sounds like a woman.

Just checking in on train back from London, but like Richtea, sadly no OG sightseeing. Did daydream of accidentally bumping into BA though - you know crowded tube train,pressed up tight etc. And for some reason BA was still dressed in his combats.
I also noticed on his cv that it lists horse riding as one of his many skills. For me, yet another swoon worthy attribute.

Orphan, I did that too! When you are going up the escalators on the underground I don't normally look at anyone, but for some reason I was making eye contact with any male hoping he was BA! Don't start talking about pressing bodies on tube.... Maybe you should start writing FanFict!

We are a full two weeks on now from the final episode.......... I just wonder when this obsession of ours is going to fade! I have been trying to wean myself off slowly for the last few days (without success I might add) but have no chance once the DVD arrives!

Agree Laurielove is very talented.

My own imaginations re CJ are often when I am in the kitchen and trying to decide what I would cook for him! Maybe I need to get out more...!

I hope on the dvd extras there's an extended version of the duet, with the option perhaps for the viewer to pretend to be Molly and just have CJ in full close up singing to you. Obviously there would also be the option to have Molly singing to you (am thinking of SPOfficer)

I think it's the army gear. Cos I don't like BA as much in his normal clothes. It's also the character- how well written it was- I really like him. Probably a bit of hero worship going on. He's not my usual type either

i now have a printed photo in my desk at work. To counteract it I put one of my hubby and boys on my desk. Just wait till my calendar comes eek!!

Question (probably too late, should have thought about it sooner). Is this MN board public...but really anonymous? Because if we keep on going like this, guys, I think we risk getting a knock on the door by social services!! I swear in real life I am a honest, perfectly respectable person. Actually, respected not just respectable ;-) I feed the kids, I make dinner, as we speak I am going to tackle a pile of ironing that would scare the s+-t out of a professional cleaner...

I count myself very, very lucky because actually DH is very much similar to CJ. He's never ever going to wear uniforms or combat gear, am afraid. But I can live with that. (One day I may tell his personal point of view on international "humanitarian" missions, as seen in real life. Not all rosy. But first I must be sure no social service can trace where I live and take the kids away ;-)

I agree that they mustn't revert to stereotypes where the parents are concerned. Molly's parents mustn't be snooty prigs and Molly's mustn't come across as vulgar and ignorant to CJ. That's just ridiculous. Having money or not having money makes no difference to your integrity as a human being. Both CJ and Molly have been brought up to be caring, decent, strong people. That's thanks largely (but not exclusively) to their parents and I hope that is explored carefully in a future series.

Yes thanks icemist for the link. A good analysis of their chemistry and the way CJ looks at Molly as well. Made me consider how often actors end up in (usually brief) real life relationdhips with their leading lady/man. It must be hard to distinguish scripted feelings from real ones sometimes, particularly when the shared scenes are so intense. Didn't Colin Firth go out with Jennifer Ehle when they were in Pride and Prejudice?

Oh and of course prime example, Robert Patterson and K Stewart.

I do wonder orphan the chemistry seems so real. Talking of RP, he was my last crush... Think the chemistryhelped.

I love the fact that these talented writers may be looking at this discussion thread. LaurieLove if you're reading this, the latest instalment of what happened after the "missed me?" post credits scene is lovely. You've really captured their dynamic and the gentle teasing humour they share with one another. It's like watching the show again! (or perhaps a more post watershed version! Though without the intimate scenes you still manage to convey how good they are together). Hah, I also liked the little joke, about how Molly never watched Downton, as there was 'usually something better on the other side'. Hmm, wonder what? Hehehe.

Christmas gifts...Yes Rosabaya, coco pops, and an anthology of Dylan Thomas poetry from Molly to CJ. From CJ to Molly....a season ticket to see West Ham and a CD of 'Duets' by Elton John featuring ''Don't Go Breaking My Heart"!

Ugh. Yes two weeks gone. I am still rewatching the episodes (episode 1 today during a longish car journey - love that first meeting between Molly and CJ - the way they check each other out before the opening credits), and now reading OG fan fic as well. Omg. This obsession has if anything, intensified, since OG finished. I'm sure it will abate eventually, won't it?

Having seen some of the BA interviews he seems such a sweetheart - quite shy and unassuming in some ways, as others have mentioned before. Yet CJ oozes confidence when he strides around purposefully - everything from his Captain Stern Face looks, to his speech patterns, to his body language is rather different to BA's own. But he has made CJ so 'real'! Great job.

Better go. DH has wandered over asking If I want to watch something on TV with him. Think he may be feeling neglected!

Laurielove just posted this on Fb, along with a lovely CJ photo. Chapter 3 of My Man was fucking awesome to paraphrase CJ. The usual hot shenanigans from LL, but with an intro that was exactly what i hoped happened behind that door at the end of episode 5.
