A new thread for all things Our Girl as we have already filled up another thread discussing everything to do with the show.

No worries Issy.

As well as the obvious sheet scene, I think my other tardis moment would be when Molly IDs Badrai in the truck. I would have prefered it if she hadn't turned her back and run off and the ensuing and totally necessary for suspense and CJ looking vulnerable yet sexy in a hospital bed firefight had started some other way.

Have been out with a good friend all night but got in and, despite being tired and emotional (hick) had to come on here and check in. You've been busy, ladies and gent, and I've missed you. What a lovely lot you are.

Love the twitter vagaries ... I'm on twitter but - eek - for various reasons can't really be both me on here and there. Also loving the discussions on Georgian class distinctions. I must admit I always felt that - despite perhaps there not being a clear technical class difference as such - the Bennets were perceived as being far further down the social pecking order than the Darcys and Bingleys. That was one of the main premises of the book, surely? The title is derived from it. Mr Darcy is perceived by Lizzie as being overly proud of his elevated social status and Lizzie is prejudiced against him due to her perception of his perceptions! (And she presumes him to be prejudiced against her.)

There are, apparently only 30 or so basic plots in story-telling. The two people falling for each other from two different social backgrounds is one of the best. Long may it continue!

Finally - loved seeing that pic of Ben as a little actor. Bless!!!! (Hate that saying, but it seems appropriate here.) Also, he is clearly getting better with age. It bodes well for the future, ladies. Wink

I have also found a couple of people/they have found me on Twitter ... My obsession must be shining through! Only a couple of my ordinary life friends follow me though, and my partner isn't on Twitter (yet) which is just as well as he has absolutely no idea about my guilty pleasure! Surely they must be talking about making a second series by now, it's been what nearly 2 weeks since the series ended and we are still talking about it! I wasn't going to buy the DVD, but I'm worried I'll miss out on something so I'm going to order it tomorrow.

klj78 · 30/10/2014 00:39

Ps I found that stage school website the other day, I was actually pondering whether one of my offspring might want to take up acting and is it too far to drive on a weekday evening. Kill me now!

mandy214 · 30/10/2014 07:37

Morning check in Smile I like this thread as much as the programme [smile ]

ihearttc · 30/10/2014 07:48

Morning all!! Have now followed Nick Grimshaw on Twitter and noticed that every morning he asks people to tweet their questions to guests he has on the show that day. Ideal opportunity to ask BA a question on Monday perhaps?

Morning! Good idea re. Questions to Grimshaw. I do think we are all the most qualified on anything OG and CJ. Out all day today, so not much of a chance watch our lovely CJ ( got a few pics on my phone though!)

SPOfficer · 30/10/2014 08:01

My boys act up enough as it is. Don't think they need to go to stage school! Also loving this thread mandy

ihearttc · 30/10/2014 08:03

Think I need some pictures on my phone too...will get on it right away ;-)

I can imagine there will be 100's of you are gorgeous is there going to be another series type questions and ours will all be very in depth-well as in depth as we can be with only 140 characters!

OP posts:
icemist · 30/10/2014 08:12

We'll have to think of a good one and post it!
Think it would have to be something about how big the show is and did he expect it? His Twitter followers have jumped hugely. I followed him at about 10k now he's at 27k prob why he's not on it.
He was at a concert last night at Brixton Academy

ihearttc · 30/10/2014 08:22

Oh really? How on earth did you find that out? He'd be completely swamped if he was on there wouldn't he!

I really want to ask if some of the scenes were unscripted but I'm a bit worried that it will just look a bit daft and no one apart from us lot will have a clue what I'm on about!!

Candypop7 · 30/10/2014 08:27

Slightly worried that catching up with you all is becoming my 'must do' thing in the morning! SPOfficer so glad you also spotted Mrs Smurf in Dr Who- began to think I was the only one when I posted a while back. Thought maybe it wasn't cool to watch, so quietly went back to reading rather than contributing to this thread.

PS how do you add 'smiley's', so want to add a tardis from the list.

icemist · 30/10/2014 08:33

One of his friends posted it - she was in lark rise with him.
Having said that the photo of him having noodles in itsu - don't think I would have recognised him at first.

I need help! This obsession is not good

ihearttc · 30/10/2014 08:38

Ah I see!

I've been looking on YouTube to find clips on a film he was in but can't find any bits with him in them unfortunately.

OP posts:
icemist · 30/10/2014 08:40

I'd ask it- depends what type of questions they are looking for. Bet a lot will be about another series.

SPOfficer · 30/10/2014 08:50

Sorry Candypop7 missed your post or would have acknowledged it. Not sure how to post a tardis will need to refer you to the OG IT Dept.

I am walking to work whole posting this and nearly walked into a lamppost . Contributing to this thread is dangerous as well as enjoyable!

Rhubarb01 · 30/10/2014 09:00

I was thinking about making my Christmas cake today and that set me off thinking about Christmas in Bath. They have a wonderful German style Christmas Market in Bath every year next to the Abbey, handcrafted gifts, gluhwein etc (I don't work for the Bath Tourist Office by the way). I was just thinking of all the lovely "magical" and "perfect" scene possibilities!

cherin · 30/10/2014 09:04

I surely have missed my bus stop a couple of times ;-)
We should agree on basic safety rules for the survival of the tribe, aka "don't read/write when you cross a street" or "avoid daydreaming whilst operating heavy equipment/handling babies on changing table" etc etc

orphan · 30/10/2014 09:05

Candypop7 on mine you just click the smiley icon to bring up the list, then click the tardis Tardis

orphan · 30/10/2014 09:13

Am really disappointed that BA doesn't have the same effect on me in Larkrise as he does in OG, as that would have opened up a whole new world of watching/drooling opportunities...Sad

WHAJEB1 · 30/10/2014 09:15

Do you think we could ask what he would like to see if there was a second series? I'm a radio 2 listener so have no idea about nick grimshaws interviews. Also does he really like coco-pops!!!!!!!!!!!!

ihearttc · 30/10/2014 09:20

Oh thats a good idea WHAJEB1...nope I don't listen to Radio 1 either but I just followed Nick Grimshaw on Twitter in advance of Monday's interview.

OP posts:
cherin · 30/10/2014 09:21

Not sure he'd really have that body if he was eating coco pops every morning ;-) but its a good question!!

cherin · 30/10/2014 09:23

Other idea: has he ever used the word cockwombles before filming the series?
