I quite liked both of Tess's frocks this weeks, and usually I hate everything she wears. The white one was lovely IMO.
I'm glad Gregg's gone and hope Scott goes next; he was painful to watch and I'm not really warming to Joanne.
Thom was bad, no hip action, like a plank. TERRIBLE vest and white trews.
Caroline was ace, I thought, but what's with the curtains she keeps wearing? All wrong for a tango.
Mark was OK but the music was NOT right for an AS and I wish he'd worn tails. Love Karen; beautiful dancer.
Frankie was OK but dull and I agreed with Craig that a Charleston should be much more goofy and extreme.
Sunetra was good, seemed to really feel the music. I liked Brendan's routine.
Pixie was overmarked. Too many rondes de jambe; very repetitious. And I'm sure she went wrong a few times.
Jake was fantastic but too many lifts and gimmicks; his actual basic salsa was great (proper hip action) and I wanted to see more of that.
Anton needs to take Judy to a club night and get her enjoying the music and losing her inhibitions a bit.
Tim was quite sweet but I suspect he might be a bit of an old letch. Natalie danced beautifully and looked gorgeous.
Steve was rubbish. Planky. Can't stand his face.
Alison was great; clever choreography, pitched for entertainment in a dance that didn't particularly suit her. She's very musical.
Who have I left out?
ppeat, you can email the BBC. Google BBC Complaints. I write to them every year about Strictly [no life] – about the overmarking, the banging on about lifts, the shit music choices, the dance-off (I don't agree with it), the 'training' videos that are just silly gimmicks ... They always write a polite but 'not really listening' response.
Whoever said people with stage experience have an advantage over sports types, that's not really true – sportspeople often do well and have won. They have other advantages: fitness and stamina, a competitive mindset and an appreciation of how hard they need to work.
