Re the song/ costume choices, my understanding is that the pros get given a short list of songs to choose from for their dance. They get them a few weeks in advance as obviously they need to work out the choreography before teaching it to their celeb.

The length of Tess's dress is just not right.

Her dresses have improved slightly though.

I do think the celeb themed dances are a bit cheesy.
