... well, depending upon how much we talk!

Carrying on from thread one.

OP posts:
Mrsjayy · 19/10/2014 23:24

Oh was v over dramatic. I wonder what it is about her usually you can say I don't like x because of y.

Minimammoth · 20/10/2014 08:16

What was the crying about?

Mrsjayy · 20/10/2014 08:22

Over come with the emotion of the dance or something Hmm

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 09:34

Ref. voting mrsjayy Surely they have to count them on sat. night\sun. morn. !!

WTF was the pro dance about last night ? halloween ? A bit early though Grin was it a rumba?

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 09:36

I just worked out what Lady GG was about now; she was a witch Grin!!

OnlyLovers · 20/10/2014 10:16

'Anyone else think Pixie and Trent are a bit Flowers in the Attic creepy?' Grin YES! That's exactly it. And I agree that Trent needs feeding up a bit, too.

Lady Gaga and Tony B were shite, just shouting, although it pains me to say that about Tone as he is a legitimate legend. Natalie was STUNNING in the accompanying dance.

Natalie is also a proper pro, gracious and a class act. She knew Tim was rubbish and she knew once they were in the dance-off they were going home, but she kept her game face on and said all the right things. Respect.

Tim said it would be 'a tragedy and a travesty' if he went home. No, love, really it wouldn't/wasn't. Would have been a travesty if Mark had gone home after that lovely quickstep.

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 10:45

I liked that GG actually thanked the dancers (yes OnlyLovers Natalie is an incredible dancer AND a lovely person, bless).

Agree about Mark being in the dance off at all, what about Scott? tbh if he'd been in with Tim who would the judges have chosen Confused Grin

OnlyLovers · 20/10/2014 10:53

ppeat, yes, it was nice, although unusual – Tess is usually the one to do the thanking. Do you think she insisted on being the one to do it? She didn't name them, either –Tess had to do that afterwards.

It would have been a tough call between Tim and Scott but I think they'd have had to kick out Scott as he got the lower mark. I'm not sorry to see the back of Tim but would like Scott to go next, tbh.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/10/2014 11:00

Yes, I was contrasting Natalie's behaviour with that of Aliona, who also got picked to dance with a no-hoper and made it clear exactly what she thought. I didn't like Natalie much when she first joined the show but she's one of my favourite pros now, both for her personality and her beautiful dancing.

I also don't like Pixie and Trent - no chemistry, no charisma.

Idontseeanysontarans · 20/10/2014 11:02

I think Scott wants to go. Really, as lovely as he is and as hard as he's trying I really do think he's realised he is so out of his depth that he wants to escape!
Isn't Mark lovely btw? I didn't think much of him before Strictly but he's such a nice chap Smile

Mrsjayy · 20/10/2014 11:08

Does anybody think Scott is a bit mortified of making a show of himself.

Mrsjayy · 20/10/2014 11:09

Yes Mark is lovely I like him and not just because he loves his Nan.

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 11:16

Yes agree, esp. about the beatch Aliona , I reckon Scott was desperate to go !! I feel a bit sorry for him Sad.

Mark does seem sweet Grin.

Mrsjayy · 20/10/2014 11:24

Never watched Towie and groaned when mark went into im a celeb the other year but I liked him

Tensmumym · 20/10/2014 12:35

It looks like Robin will be coming back next year as he's cropping up all over the place. Does this mean that the lovely Tristan won't be back? Aliona doesn't seem to appear in the group dances though they move so quickly I find it hard to see who is who. The blonde pros are difficult to tell apart when they are dancing in a group.

Alison - love the relationship she has with Aljaz. He seems to be really enjoying himself this year. Didn't think the dance was great and the dress wasn't flattering.

Caroline - loved her routine, the music and love her but find Pasha's facial expressions a bit odd.

Frankie - my favourite "ringah" this year. Obviously a lovely dancer and no doubt helped at home by her mother who I read somewhere is a ballroom teacher but she just seems lovely. Interesting how popular Kevin is. I think it's the first time that the video section, about his birthday, has focussed purely on the professional. And we hardly hear anything from Trent nor was Tristan allowed to say very much.

Jake - great routine. I surprised myself yesterday by realising that I think I'd like him to win. I love how downbeat he is after his dances. Claudia was saying how fantastic he was and he said something like "Yeah, I like the jive".

Judy - best routine yet. I guess she's staying in because of Anton's popularity and because all of Scotland is voting for her. If only she could relax.

Mark - I thought he did really well with a tough dance. Have never seen Towie and hate the idea of that sort of programme but he is surprisingly likeable. All of the family stuff with his nan etc should be more offputting than it is because he seems genuine.

Pixie - can't warm to her at all. Find her voice really irritating. Of course because she's young and blonde dd1 who is 7 says that she is her favourite and dd would also like to marry Trent when she grows up.

Scott- have never listened to him on the radio but can't understand why he is so popular. He isn't funny or charming - certainly not compared to Tim - and he seems a bit affronted by getting terrible comments when he is a terrible dancer.

Simon - gorgeous man but a bit too cool for school initially. Gradually warming to him a bit. Kristina is deeply irritating

Steve - amazing routine. Comes across so well - loving the whole experience and so positive but not cheesy. Considering this accident it's incredible he can walk at all.

Sunetra - great energy and attitude. Brendan seems a bit subdued this year - I wonder how well they got on.

Thom - improving but still utterly forgettable. A shame as Iveta is great and was very funny in that rugby bit.

Tim - how moving was his last speech? Though, agree with OnlyLovers obviously would have been a travesty if he had not gone but I agreed with Len - I always wondered what Tim would come up with.

Tensmumym · 20/10/2014 12:37

And can we start a petition to get Marian Keyes on ITT? I follow her on Twitter and she said she is desperate to appear and is in London on Friday but the powers that be are turning a deaf ear.

ThursdayLast · 20/10/2014 12:46

My winery is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of warmth between Jake and Jeanette. Without that fun, couples don't get far no matter how well they dance.
So come on Jake! Cheer up a bit Grin but only a bit, because your deadpan expression us the perfect antidote to Alison's gurning, Pixie's weeping, Marks great love for his Nan etc etc

ThursdayLast · 20/10/2014 12:46

And agreed re: Marian Keyes.
Love her
(New book out soon yay!)

Tensmumym · 20/10/2014 12:52

I haven't detected lack of warmth between Jake and Jeanette. I think it's just that Jake doesn't do emotion. I don't watch Eastenders so don't know about the breadth of his acting. The way he downplays things is very refreshing although, I do like Alison's brio and, as I said, Mark's sweetness. I thought it odd that Pixie should stay on the bed crying. It felt like she wanted to attract as much attention as she could although she may have been genuinely moved. Funny how, despite the tears, Darcey tore into her. I am enjoying Darcey much more this series.

Marian said she had asked Zoe Ball about appearing but the decision as to who will be on - luminaries like Stephen Mulhearne!! - is not taken by her.

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 12:55

Sorry I'm not a ballroom expert who is Marian Keyes?

REF 'chemistry' we don't want ALL their marriages to break up, I know that it shouldn't affect their permanent relationships but, quite a few did in the last series, Shock

OnlyLovers · 20/10/2014 12:56

I get the impression Jake and Janette get on, too. He's just not Mr Demonstrative.

Marian Keyes has been on ITT before and was a RIOT. I'd happily watch her on it every day. Why don't we all email the Beeb and demand request that they invite her on? She's one of the few so-called 'superfans' they get on who gives the impression that she genuinely does love Strictly.

ppeatfruit · 20/10/2014 13:00

Thanks Only Lovers Maybe MK is not botoxed enough !! Grin

Tensmumym · 20/10/2014 13:00

Marian Keyes is an author who is also a superfan of Strictly. She is very funny - has also been on You're Fired, the Apprentice Show.

Tensmumym · 20/10/2014 13:01

Maybe if we post on the Strictly Facebook and Twitter pages the powers that be will be more responsive?

ThursdayLast · 20/10/2014 13:16

Well I'm happy to be disagreed with Grin because I love Jake and Jeanette too - I think her choreography is fab. I don't mean to imply that there's a Greg/Aliona vibe either.

For what it's worth, when I last saw MK on tv she was most definitely botoxed enough.
