Just wondering if I am alone in feeling irrationally annoyed by some of the tv programmes DS loves to watch? Dora makes me want to throw bricks at my telly, similar feelings arise whenever Boj or Everything's Rosie come on. What does it for you?

Granny Murray

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 22/09/2014 08:22

Finlay the fucking fire engine.

Grokette · 22/09/2014 08:30

Mike the Knight. He's just an utter shit.

Baby Jake is a shit too.

Squiglet. What is it exactly?

Teddybeau1988 · 22/09/2014 09:37

Nina and the Morons

KittyandTeal · 22/09/2014 09:40

Waybuloo. I hate their giant, stupid eyes and they way they speak.

They give me the rage

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 22/09/2014 10:14

Balamory. Angry

ScienceRocks · 22/09/2014 10:19

Peter flipping rabbit.

badgerknowsbest · 22/09/2014 10:42

Peppa pig gives me the rage - so it is banned in this house

Labrat72 · 22/09/2014 10:55

Practically everything on the Disney channel. Squeaky American nonsense full of interchangerble teens in improbable clothes, living in wonderful houses who burst into awful songs at the slightest provocation.
My DSD was watching film on there the other day, the premise of which seemed to be that you're no one at school unless you have a 'hot' boyfriend. So she built one. And then she had this amazing handsome boy so obviously her life was complete. Excellent message for young girls there.

sourdrawers · 22/09/2014 11:15

I've always loathed that fucking goody-goody prick Barney the Dinosaur. Is that c**t still on ?

Quangle · 22/09/2014 11:17

Granny Murray makes me think mean things about Scottish independence.

Also not a character but the terrible soft rock MOR theme tune to Peter Rabbit. Beatrix Potter must be turning in her grave.

Iconfuseus · 22/09/2014 12:33

Oh Quangle all the music in Peter Rabbit is beyond awful.

I second Mike the Knight.

Rosie from Everything's Rosie really gets my goat.

The other one that bugs me is Grandpa from Grandpa in my Pocket. Talk about passive aggressive. He has a problem with his sister being interfering with an event or something. So does he talk to her and say 'Loretta, you are being a pain in the bum, stop it.'

No. He just whinges to his grandson and then hatches an elaborate plot to circumnavigate the problem.

Birdiegirl · 22/09/2014 12:36

Mike the Knight or Mike the Shite as he's known by DH and I. Can't stand the little fecker.

Rusticated · 22/09/2014 13:35

Oh, I've found my tribe.

Yes, what is with the bad dad rock soundtrack on Peter Rabbit??? Who thought 'Oh, I know, that's how we'll update Beatrix Potter! A Status Quo tribute band!'

Grandpa from GP in My Pocket gives me serious rage. Yes, fucking TALK to other adults if you have a problem, don't shrink yourself via your terrible 'retired and lurking in my shed' hat and hatch a plan involving toy airplanes!

Waybuloo is like a stoned person's take on eastern mysticism or something, and those poor real kids look completely baffled - god knows what they are actually seeing in the studio. Some props and a stage manager saying 'Look up, kids, the annoying little beasties are levitating now!'

I also viscerally loathe Upsy Daisy. When she pulls the string to inflate her dress pre-dance, I want to garrotte her.

Fortunately my two year old has excellent taste and dislikes these programmes too. And he once threw a cup of milk at the TV when Mike the Knight was on.

ZebraZeebra · 22/09/2014 15:11

Super Chugger - narcissistic and smug.

Totally agree about Peter Rabbit theme tune - what the hell??

Pretty much everyone on Octonauts.

The only ones I truly love are Rastamouse and the Easy Crew.

purpleperilandpeanut · 22/09/2014 15:36

Totally agree about the Peter Rabbit theme tune, in fact, now I come to think about it, the whole programme is ridiculous. Mr Macgreor must be a really unsuccessful gardener if his whole defence against the destruction of his crops is to shout 'Stop rabbit!' whilst the perpetrators run away.

Still laughing at 'viscerally loathe' Rusticated Grin

Susie sheep, peppa isn't perfect and is a bit of a brat but Susie is just mean.
Even my just 2 yr old DS says "No no no" when Susie is on too much.

owlbegoing · 22/09/2014 15:42

Anything with Justin Fletcher in..

bumbumbee · 22/09/2014 15:44

Balamory and waybuloo Angry

EstellaUsm · 22/09/2014 16:01

I love Balamory, especially Penny and Susie's song, during which I fling my children about the front room with gay abandon in the style of Strictly Come Dancing.
But I am with you on Rosie, Octonauts, Peter Rabbit, Wayba-fucking-loo, Granny Murray and Chuggington. I also hate the bloody Tweenies with their squeaky voices. Bella is too bossy, Jake is too stupid and his mispronunciation of words is , I suspect, deliberate for 'comedy effect' and Fuzz is so bloody twee and girly I want to punch her! Poor Milo stuck with those twats all day!

zuzu1809 · 22/09/2014 16:06

Granny Murray and all her friends - Me Too has to be one of the worst things on CBeebies.

fatballerina · 22/09/2014 16:07

Topsy and Tim-I have a physical reaction when it comes on-I think it's the improbable unobtainable perfection of it all-the mum and dad especially give me the heebie jeebies-they are all smily and seem interested but watch closely and they are dead behind the eyes...unfortunately my 2girls love it...they also love Sarah and duck which I absolutely and totally adore-it's very calming and relaxing...which is why we always watch it after topsy and Tim...

victoryinthekitchen · 22/09/2014 16:09

Why do Dora and Peppa Pig have to shout so much??? Don't mind Ben and Holly though, I actually sit down with DC to watch that one :)

purpleperilandpeanut · 22/09/2014 16:12

Oh these are just brilliant, I am laughing so much the people in the office next door must think I'm on gas hahaha Grin
