Happy birthday to Juan's first born. My own first born will be 21 in a few weeks, and my baby was 17 on Saturday. DS2 has now started at uni, and that has been quite emotional for me. I miss him such a lot, but he's happy and that's the main thing.

Hey Drama, how's things? Sounds like a very emotional time for you with significant birthdays and children leaving home. Is ds2 the first to leave? It's horrid when they go isn't it? You think that you're ready for them to leave, and that it's time, but in fact, you're not ready at all! They generally are though - glad he's happy.

Thanks, Juan I'm OK I think, I'm keeping busy. DS2 isn't the first to go - DS1 left and came back - twice . He's back at home, having tried two uni courses and deciding neither was for him. He's now "figuring things out" as he puts it, and deciding what he wants to do with his life.

Tardis, I can't give dh free rein on MN, he'd create chaos and confusion in his wake! He's bad enough round the house :) My Ds1 went back to uni yesterday, I should be used to it by now but I'm not - I hate it. And my df is in hospital so I've been hitting the biscuit tin hard over the last few days. How's the rest of you doing?

Oh Raahh - about the Bootees. I kind of got distracted and knitted a rabbit instead . I thought dd was going to go off travelling again and decided she'd love a toy knitted by her ever loving mother to remind her of home. But she's still here and the rabbit's leg has already dropped off
