Here. At one point Quinn appears to be either hugging or killing Salieri - apart from that it tells you very little. But still - Homeland!!!

I reckon (based on nothing except slowly building hype and last year's timings) that we're looking at late September/early October. Can we cope in a world without Brody?

Right, I've got it - who smug ISI woman reminds me of. Yup, Kourtney KaKardashian.

OMG, my spell check wanted to have 'journey' as her 1st name... But once I corrected it, it filled in her surname. The Kardashians are taking over the world Shock

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 22:24

Huh, odd that it got it even with my alternative KaKa spelling. They're determined lilittle blighters, aren't they?

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 22:25

Or has my spell check developed a stammer?

Hassled · 30/11/2014 22:41

:o at the stammering spellchecker. There is something Kardashian-esque about her, you're right.

I've just watched it on +1. Phew- that was SO tense! I feel like I need some kind of disaster de-briefing.

YonicScrewdriver · 30/11/2014 23:20

Surely Saul shooting himself would've been a good operational outcome?

YonicScrewdriver · 30/11/2014 23:21

Or at least Saul shooting Taliban so
They shot him!

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 23:31

Ah right Ethel that makes sense, had forgotten that.

How many episodes are left? I'll be going for a thread blackout this year before the last episode, to avoid any bastard trolls.

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 30/11/2014 23:37

Yes saul shooting himself would have been best outcome but carrie couldnt let him do that. He is the only person she cares about and trusts. I think he is like her compass or something. She needs saul.

werenotreallyhere · 30/11/2014 23:37

Zaf is still working for mi5 and when he's finished he's coming back home to me

werenotreallyhere · 30/11/2014 23:39

And if Saul escapes again they need to send out decoy drones

BOFster · 30/11/2014 23:42

I think the theme at the moment is that "there are no good choices". So in the last episode, we were shocked and found it morally reprehensible that Carrie was calling for Saul to be killed as collateral damage, but now we understand that she was operating almost instinctively on the same level as him, knowing that this was the course of action he would want himself. And in this episode we feel her bleak awareness of betraying him, even though she acted out of love and desperation to preserve his life. She literally can't win.

YonicScrewdriver · 30/11/2014 23:46

What did Carrie say to Quinn before he said "you can't"?

YonicScrewdriver · 30/11/2014 23:47

If Saul escapes again, he will kill himself.

Noellefielding · 01/12/2014 00:00

Zaf is so gobsmacklingly Gorgeous that if I think about him for a second all the blood drains from my and I topples over like a woman whose meds have been messed with shouting "Cute General with the Brown Eyes immediate covert contact!" and texting him with an imaginary phone.
swoon, I think I love him even more than Stella Gibbons in the Fall and I cannot even describe how I love her in words.

Roonerspism · 01/12/2014 01:32

noelle my sentiments exactly :) (also like your username) :)

I missed the start as satellite broke! Did Carrie get it on with Raf bloke? We need a good shag in this episode.

Agree with most comments. I feel Saul should have shot himself!! Honestly Saul, man up....

Fiderer · 01/12/2014 07:09

That was so tense I was holding my breath. Poor Saul.

BOF: "I feel like I need some kind of disaster de-briefing." Me too.

I wonder if General 'Bunny' knows what smug Tasneem is up to. I've convinced myself that Zaf/Col.Khan doesn't so he's a goody. I was right about Saul being one Wink

Why couldn't they get a Special Forces rescue team in by air? Saul could have hidden out in the wilds. And deflect from Saul's position by suddenly moving loads of drones around the area. Nitpicking really, this series is much better than last.

Lagoonablue · 01/12/2014 07:14

CIA bloke is brilliant. Lockheart. He plays a good part. Constantly pissed off. I like him.

Is carrie going to get it on with whatshisname. Poor Quinn.

Very good episode last night.

Lagoonablue · 01/12/2014 07:16

Fiderer, they did try to get Special. Forces in but they couldn't get through. I was hoping it might be the hot special forces guys from last series!

PseudoBadger · 01/12/2014 07:21

I warmed to Lockhart last night.

rallytog1 · 01/12/2014 07:30

Lockhart is starting to grow on me too...

CoolCadbury · 01/12/2014 07:34

I warmed to Lockhart too. I thought it was interesting that Carrie said that the only people she could trust was Quinn and Lockhart - when did he get into her good books?

CoolCadbury · 01/12/2014 07:35

were

Fiderer · 01/12/2014 07:51

Lagoonablue re Special Forces, yes, the Scooby van lot Grin I meant by air, helicopter in and pick him up. They knew the general area he was being held in so they must have had rescue teams on standby.

Course the real answer is that if they had we wouldn't have had the dramatic scenes in the town.

Mandy Patinkin is a terrific actor. Tracy Letts also v good as Lockhart. "“I was really looking forward to telling those people to go fuck themselves. But I don’t see that happening now."

YonicScrewdriver · 01/12/2014 07:51

When she blackmailed him into giving her the station chief job??

Whatever she thinks of him personally, as he is director of the CIA and she is station chief, I'm sure she is obliged to report an attack on her health to him.
