Here. At one point Quinn appears to be either hugging or killing Salieri - apart from that it tells you very little. But still - Homeland!!!

I reckon (based on nothing except slowly building hype and last year's timings) that we're looking at late September/early October. Can we cope in a world without Brody?

Damien Lewis on Desert Island Discs Sunday 11.15..........

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 10:45

Can't believe it's almost Homeland time again Confused The weeks are rolling by at the moment.

guineapiglet · 30/11/2014 11:56

Just listening to Brody on DID, he always comes across as charming and rather privileged, loved the story about him talking to President Obama about Homeland! I did love him in Band of Brothers, which really has never been bettered..

Slightly strange taste in musicBlush.....

guineapiglet · 30/11/2014 11:57

...er, him, not me obviously....
Grin

Fiderer · 30/11/2014 12:13

Haven't been on the thread yet (hiya Hassled) because I got a week ahead - no willpower Grin and it's really hard to comment one episode back when you know what happens next. Am back now on UK time as it were, and on thread.

Anyone else hoping (against hope?) that Zaf turns out to be a goody because he's so gorgeous and he was a goody in Spooks?

And how dippy was Fara in the safe house? She got Pi killed as it was Dennis showing baddy woman the photo of him that made her tip Bad Uncle off.

EmNetta · 30/11/2014 12:52

I'm with Fiderer in hoping Zaf might be a goody, mainly because I think it would make a good plot, i.e. another series of will he/won't he cliffhangers to replace the Brody line.

BingoBonkers · 30/11/2014 14:30

I can't work Zaf out. Aside from the fact he is an absolute beauty and all mine. I'm also strangely drawn to bad uncle too. Looks wise I mean.

Claire Danes is a great actress. Her psychotic episodes are brilliant.

When I saw Brodie I thought "he better not be alive cos if he is that's rubbish".

RudeBarb I never read a thread until I've seen the most recent episode. Safest that way.

hattymattie · 30/11/2014 18:00

Bingo - the bad uncle looks like a pantomime villan from Aladdin Grin.

Looking forward to tonights episode - I really hope the Ambassador's husband gets his comeuppance.

YonicScrewdriver · 30/11/2014 18:25

Nah, bad uncle is hot!

What does "good" mean re Zaf? I am not sure ponytail woman is officially supposed to liaise with bad uncle!

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 18:41

I really hope Carrie recovers, realises Dennis is a baddy and puts a bullet in him. Maybe gorgeous Raf will do it for her.

Looking forward to tonight but nervous about where Carrie will be. She brought two doses of the bad tablets with her. Maybe Raf will get them analysed before she takes them

Hassled · 30/11/2014 20:31

Yes, I'm worried about Carrie's well-being too. I really am far too invested.

I enjoyed Damien Lewis on Desert Island Discs but managed to miss the first 10 minutes or so, and thus the Homeland discussion. He did a good impression of Saul later on, though.

Fiderer - good to see you back!

Bloody hell I thought channel 4 intro guy was going to spoil the episode there a very detailed intro!Confused

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 21:14

No Saul, no. Put down the nail and be rescued and then retire to safety.

Is the nail meant to be squaring the circle of the S1 razor blade?

Cocolepew · 30/11/2014 21:16

I thought he was using it to be a pick.

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 21:17

Go Carrie! Feeling a bit sorry for Raf though and his dodgy compatriots. It's like that Mitchell and Webb sketch where they realise they have skulls on their helmets and that means they are the baddies Grin

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 21:18

What was the season 1 razor blade? So long ago I've forgotten.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 21:18

Oh. Yes that would be better.

See how all this violence has made me see more violence at every corner?

There's a moral in there, somewhere.

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 21:20

Lockhart is such a wanker.

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 21:23

The razor blade thing was when Brody had been rescued, and the CIA had a detainee who had been involved in keeping or holding Brody. But before they could properly interview him, well, torture him more I guess, he killed himself with a razor blade that someone had asked to him. But quite who, remremains a mystery. It could have been Brody, could have been estes, could have been Saul...

TheSpottedZebra · 30/11/2014 21:23

Passed, not asked.

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 30/11/2014 21:25

Season one razor blade- someone slipped a razor blade to the guy carrie/saul and co were interrogating and he killed himself. Was early on i think.

And go saul! Shock

OneSkinnyChip · 30/11/2014 21:31

Thanks Smile

And go Saul indeed!Shock

WhyYouGottaBeSoRude · 30/11/2014 21:31

Can someone clarify what saul was asking carrie to promise? I didnt really follow what he meant. And why it was just between him and her?

Cocolepew · 30/11/2014 21:32

Oh no! I'm nervous that something happens to Saul. I appear to have switched camps!

Cocolepew · 30/11/2014 21:33

He wanted her to promise to make sure he wasnt taken alive.
